Every school yard was something before it was a school. I've found some amazing stuff in school yards too....however only OLD school yards. Modern schools are usually built on fresh land where nobody lived in the past. Nice button! I see you've found out that 40khz is great on Canadian clad as well lol. Coffee money is always nice. One point about beaches that may have fur trade era finds........usually you have to get into the water. Erosion over time and varying water levels seems to mean that the older stuff is deeper in the water. That's what I find here in Sault Ste. Marie. Nothing on the shore, everything in the water. You'll need a scoop to hunt the water though.....nice strong stainless steel. None of those whimpy sand scoops. Git it Gary. 😁
@@MrBottlecapBill Yeah...I have a couple of older fields that were schools...but in the 1880's...etc..church picnic areas...swimmholes et...I may just do the 100 lowball challenge...I just might....
GM Gary . . nice finds button and coins . . have a great Friday 🐾🐶♥️🙋♀️
You too
Nice! That’s enough change for a large coffee, maybe even a Starbucks grandé coffee 👍🏻 The button is the best find. Keep on dig’n 😊
Looks like the manticore is bringing new life to those fields. Congratulations, Gary.
Very nice button! Good history!!

Oh one thing to add, if you do the foil experiment maybe do it where there's a better chance of finding jewelry lol. School yard may kill you.

Pre 1885??? Yikes....you found a lot of coins but the button was Great.

Hey Gary if you look closely at the button there is a little v in the middle and that stands for George V (1910-1936), nice score!
No its not a george V. Its much much older
There is no V on the button...it is a stylized GR
