    Oh! So cute how she loves you brushing her...❤ but i have to tell you a high velocity blower (i paid $70 for mine)... is the BEST thing ever!! My husky loves it and it saves soooo much time. I give my girl a "blow out" every 2 weeks....or so....she seems to enjoy it so much more that so much brushing. Its so worth the money. I still brush her often at our bonding time 🥰

      @grannik8819 I've heard alot about them but that's what stumped me was the price. I'll have to look because alot of people are suggesting it. I've heard a lot of people talk about them being good but also that owners weren't using them right so the dogs fur would get matted. I guess that depends on the user though

    When you talked about using her hair to make 'things' out of ? There are actually companies that will do that - clean and spin dog hair into 'wool', and even make the item for you. Some of them are likely online. Years ago I got a beautiful white toque that was made out of my sister-in-law's Great Pyrenees' dog hair. It was absolutely odorless, and looked /felt like Angora wool. I still have it !

    As the mother of a professional groomer, you need to invest in a high velocity dryer and a good undercoat rake. Also, you can replace the dry shampoo, which is full of chemicals, and leaves a residue on the dog with a 1 ot 3 water and vinegar solution. The goal is to remove the undercoat without pulling or causing discomfort.

    • @revivedhomemaking
      @revivedhomemaking  Месяц назад +3

      @@MaryCoffey-pn9zv the high velocity dryers are kind of expensive. Any suggestions on a cheap one? What kind of undercoat rake is good? ( not sure if mine is)
      Good to know. Thank you, I'll have to give the vinegar solution a try.

    My mom and I have the brush that you call a de-shedding brush. Our morkie (Maltese Yorkie mix) has a long coat, ears hair and tail that gets matted so easily. That brush is great at getting rid of the mats. You're right though, it does tend to pull at the cost which can cause them pain. I try to find where the mat is and hold the fur/hair between the skin and mat so it isn't pulling as much. But then, her coat is more like our hair so it's easier.

    • @revivedhomemaking
      @revivedhomemaking  22 дня назад

      @wolffriendinus yeah, it works great most of the time. That's why I like the no rinse shampoo it makes it alittle easier because it conditions the fur and allows it to detangle
