Your garden looks great, grab some roots organic Mycorrhiza top dressings, it'll help your soil, there is also a product called "Recharge" that is sold at a hydroponics shop or online that will replenish your nutrients and do exactly what the name says.
@markshifflet5504 thank you im trying 😃 and thank you so much for your suggestion! I believe i found it on Amazon or at least something similar.
@@revivedhomemaking no problem everyone needs a little help sometimes,I do all the time lol, also I forgot to mention getting some earthworms castings, and mushroom compost and spread it around mixed in with your previous soil.
Sometimes, you just have to break your rule of not using chemical pesticides... I am almost 💯 organic, but there are times when organic pesticides do not work at all, and I have to use a chemical spray... Another thing to do, is to get rid of all the dead materials on the bottom of the plants. Do not add it to your compost though! I had mites on my eggplant plants, and I gave them a thorough pruning, and got rid of ALL the dead and infected leaves, then I sprayed both the plants and surface soil under the plants with MAGGIE'S organic spray in the cool of the evening, and those eggplant came back SO beautiful!!! Don't be discouraged! Show those pest whose garden it is!
@todaysrules6730 🥹🫡 I wanted to try and grow my zucchini uprise, but it was too late. Honestly, I just didn't know enough to act soon enough. I waited too long to take action. I may have to try that because after 2 years of my garden being destroyed because of the pest, it makes me feel like it may not be worth it at times. It's a hard call, though, because I genuinely love it, but practically, I get so frustrated.
I have been gardening since I was five; I'm in my 50s now. This year, where I live, has been horrendous!!! We are in drought conditions. My garden, was secure for five years-no rodents, squirrels, gopher, for all that time. This year, however, has been discouraging. Somehow, ground squirrels, gophers, pack rats, mice, has gotten in for the first time, and on top of that, birds have decimated what the pest didn't... I gave up too, and I absolutely understand what you are saying. I love my garden, it's my rejuvenating space, and this year, I was "robbed" of that... Looking to Fall, where I can reaccess my strategy, and take steps to secure my garden from invaders! It can be very discouraging, when no matter WHAT you try, things keep getting worse, and all your hard work was not in your favor 😢
@todaysrules6730 thank you, it's soooo nice to hear that I'm not the only one. I learned to garden as a teen and have been actually gardening I feel like for only a few years. It feels exactly how you describe like I'm be "robbed" of my joy and peace. I love how you describe it. I'm starting to get alittle encouraged because of fall but I'm alittle scared because I don't want to put in all this work and it just be ruined. 😮💨 I can't stop now though, it's been a struggle before and everytime I come back I feel rewarded. Thank you so much for sharing, it encourages me to try again 🥰
I like how when you got up for a break she was like “hey! We’re not done here!”

Awwwe yeah, thats the spot. 💭 😄❤
I wish my dog loved grooming as much as she does. My corgi liked to be brushed up to a certain point but didn't like baths. The heeler is the opposite, LOVES the bath but not fond of brushing.
@mariagodfrey4049 ☺️ yeah every dog is different. That's hard lol She has always enjoyed being groomed which I am very grateful for
What a good Husky mama❤
Dog is so patient 🥰
What a sweet girl! I have a smooth coat husky as well and seeing you pull out those huge tufts of fur in the beginning was super relatable 😂
@rebecca7766 😂 Yeah, it's fun to pick off the bunches, lol
Why don't you blow her coat rather than brush it?
Invest in a good deshedding shampoo and a high velocity pet blow dryer! It works wonders :)
@@chloetremblett3869 I'll have to look into it. May people are suggesting it. Thank you 😊
@@revivedhomemaking as a professional dog groomer that’s what we use and a good conditioner. Some people use the close open close method of condition, blow out, shampoo, condition again and blow out then brush. I personally just use a good deshedding shampoo, good conditioner and then I blow out and brush. Works wonders and definitely worth investing in! You’re welcome :)
@@revivedhomemaking you can get cheaper ones that are more for doing just a pet or two at home and not meant to run all day like the really expensive ones do. They’re more meant for in salon use :)
@chloetremblett3869 awesome thank you. I like to watch rovers makeover on RUclips and that's what gave me confidence in grooming myself. I'll look out for one and maybe next time try it out
Your dog so sweet - loving the grooming ❤❤❤
Oh! So cute how she loves you brushing her...❤ but i have to tell you a high velocity blower (i paid $70 for mine)... is the BEST thing ever!! My husky loves it and it saves soooo much time. I give my girl a "blow out" every 2 weeks....or so....she seems to enjoy it so much more that so much brushing. Its so worth the money. I still brush her often at our bonding time 🥰
@grannik8819 I've heard alot about them but that's what stumped me was the price. I'll have to look because alot of people are suggesting it. I've heard a lot of people talk about them being good but also that owners weren't using them right so the dogs fur would get matted. I guess that depends on the user though
My mom and I have the brush that you call a de-shedding brush. Our morkie (Maltese Yorkie mix) has a long coat, ears hair and tail that gets matted so easily. That brush is great at getting rid of the mats. You're right though, it does tend to pull at the cost which can cause them pain. I try to find where the mat is and hold the fur/hair between the skin and mat so it isn't pulling as much. But then, her coat is more like our hair so it's easier.
@wolffriendinus yeah, it works great most of the time. That's why I like the no rinse shampoo it makes it alittle easier because it conditions the fur and allows it to detangle
❤❤❤❤
I thought my corgi shed a lot but that is next level
lol try a corgadore. You get the corgi shedding with the black lab shedding. We get literal tumbleweeds of fur in our house lol
I have a Labrador Retriever and a German Shepherd mix……it’s a never ending furnado in my house
Thank you for the tip on the waterless shampoo. I’ve never used it before, but I’m really curious if it will help with my dog shedding.
@nanny8675309 😄 it helped me alot. Was the only way I found that allowed me to brush out so much without it being painful . Smells great too
Spa day for your dog ❤
You did a GREAT job!
Thank you!
Please get yourself a pillow of some sort to sit on, I've hurt my back before doing something similar( potting plants).
She likes it. Seems she was a double coated dog but you combed out one of those coats 😂😂😂
😂😂😂
I've never owned a dog & I've watched this vid twice! 😂😅 this would be greeeeat ASMR if you left the brush sounds in & no music 😉 I'd be back to see your cutie shed every season!! P.S she looks like she lovesss it & you too ❤❤
@TulaAntonia thank you, I'd love to leave the sound in but most of the time my child is watching cartoons in the background or yelling and I don't want to get copyright 🙃 😅 so glad you enjoyed 😊 I'll make sure to post every season lol
The little dog lying on the ground and letting you groom it looks so content and enjoying it! Great job, you deserve a thumbs up!👍👍👍👍
She looks so happier now with all the coat gone
She is so beautiful ❤. You did a wonderful job mom❤
@@maureenbstephens thank you 🥰
@@revivedhomemaking you're welcome 😊
The amount of care here is just so sweet.
@trickycrayon 💕 thank you. I appreciate you noticing
I love it that you really appreciate a Husky and to help her get all that fur out. A really excellent Husky owner. Thank you as I hope you show other Husky owners what it is all about.
@theempath8244 Thank you. She's been a blessing to me and caring for her brings me alot of healing 🩷
As the mother of a professional groomer, you need to invest in a high velocity dryer and a good undercoat rake. Also, you can replace the dry shampoo, which is full of chemicals, and leaves a residue on the dog with a 1 ot 3 water and vinegar solution. The goal is to remove the undercoat without pulling or causing discomfort.
@@MaryCoffey-pn9zv the high velocity dryers are kind of expensive. Any suggestions on a cheap one? What kind of undercoat rake is good? ( not sure if mine is) Good to know. Thank you, I'll have to give the vinegar solution a try.
That she lets you do it so calmly being a husky is awesome! Great dog parenting!
😁 thank you. It took a lot to get to this point. She's not this calm with others but I'm grateful that she trusts me.
You are a great dog mommy! 🤗
😊 thank you
She’s looking at you in the beginning like, “mom! Stop pulling my fur out!” She pulls another patch “Seriously!”
Lol 😆
Follow indian hindu dand videos you definitely get it
Your dog is soooo cute! And kudos for bathing and grooming her yourself, you clearly love her a lot and care for her really well.
Grooming the Nesquick wolf. So cute.
🤣🤣🤣
When you talked about using her hair to make 'things' out of ? There are actually companies that will do that - clean and spin dog hair into 'wool', and even make the item for you. Some of them are likely online. Years ago I got a beautiful white toque that was made out of my sister-in-law's Great Pyrenees' dog hair. It was absolutely odorless, and looked /felt like Angora wool. I still have it !
@@voiceofreason7856 That's so cool! I didn't know you could do that! I'll have to look now 😃
he is so CUTE!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤u r so lucky to have a dog like that
It's a girl 🥰 thank you
I remember that episode😂
🤣 awesome! I'm glad I'm not the only one
Mulch
What kind of mulch do you recommend?
@@revivedhomemaking hay, grass clippings, wood chips, all will do wonders.
Looks like squash vine borers got your squash. Search for squash vine larvae inside the stems at the base.
I believe something like that happened. How do I help the plant with those?
Check out 'the aberrant gardener'. She has a great video on dealing with vine borers; I saved 5 out of 6 zucchini plants one year with her method.
@revivedhomemaking once the borer larvae get into the stems, the plant is basically toast. There are ways to fight them before that stage. Several videos on here about that. Depending on your zone, it's possible to start new plants for harvest before fall frosts. In my area the borer is so bad I went to a different type of squash called Rampucante. They are resistant to the borers. A bit different looking squash, but early, small ones can be cooked like zucchini. The older more mature ones can be used like butternuts.
I want to say my heart greaves for your loss. I was devastated when it happened to me.
@auntdello5286 amazing! I already putted all of these out and planted new seeds that are growing but I'm asking so I can watch out for it
Yeah, it’s sad, but once a zucchini shows sights of struggle, it’s pretty well done. You’re better off to seed several.
Yeah, I had seeded several but I didn't realize how big the plant got. I had to put some out to make room
Keep learning, keep growing 💗
@@SmartFarms2024 🥰😁
I've learned that garden posts shouldn't be of metal cause during hot days they get heated and kills the plant.. (when plant attaches itself to the posts)
@graffreaky4513 That's true, maybe I'll reconsider the posts with something else 🤔
Yes. Based. Idek what we talkin about

Corinthians, 🏳 it's been a while... OK, on with the garden , if I may. Yes to much heat ( you must be in the Midwest) possibly the water could be pooling underneath ( causing die off of your fungal & micro ) question: " do you have town H2o , it could be what the town puts in the water supply for dental hygiene. Letting your water sit out in a five gallon bucket for a few hours will help evaporate the chems. New mulch on top can protect from heat , evaporation and provide a habitat for some live good bacteria ( of which it seems there is not a lot of in your raised beds .. ) remember we're not growing plants , , ( we are growing soil ) that said , grate job troubleshooting,. Shade cloth , good idea ! Shootout to the husband for helping , good man ..... Blessings to all .....
@NORATECHNOLOGIES thank you. That is very helpful. I live in the south right now. These are amazing suggestions! 😍 The water pooling can be very likely it flash floods regularly when it thunderstorms. Yes I do use city water so that is very possible. I'd like to set up a rain barrel but I just don't feel like I have much room. Our house also doesn't have gutters soo rain barrel seems a bit overwhelming
@@revivedhomemaking rain is the best , I've no gutters either at the moment but what I do is put a wide tote under the eve to catch the rain . Ten plus gallon... but that's at the house , at the farm I use a very big set up . . In the south, cool . I'm up in New England.
@NORATECHNOLOGIES that's a great idea, I just worry about mosquitoes growing in the water
@@revivedhomemaking I harvest the captured rain and put in to 1 gallon jugs rite away ..
@NORATECHNOLOGIES WOW, so simple. I overcomplicate everything. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate it. That is such a great idea 😃
