I live 5 minutes away from the first lake through the golf course. Fish there all the time. Thanks for giving me some new ice fishing spots. I wont spoil the lake location but for people trying to catch fish, try clarkston MI.
Nice work! Loved how the big pike tricked your buddy and made him think it broke the line. That always happens to me in open water but I’ve learned to keep winding because them fish are like rockets and shoot right at you after eating.
Great video, I haven't been on any ice since last winter. Thank goodness for open water fishing, even though it's winter it's still possible to catch a few.
Cool video. Have you ever used the fincky fooler tip up? Its like the ifish pro but it doesn't use the separate trigger with bobber stop. I have a couple and I like them but have not used the ifish pro for comparison.
Nice stuff!... I did a video last week ice fishing in Hell Michigan on some back water channels... I’m going to search for some ice here in a few days. Have to go up since down here is open water. Good catching sir 👊👊☝️
Awesome! I love those ice fishing videos. Are you going to do some with the go-Pro underwater? It's so cool watching the fish take the bait. Thanks for making and sharing your videos, they're amazing!
I'll definitely be doing some more underwater vids, but I need clear water for that. Hopefully I'll be able to get on some soon. I'm glad you liked the video!
Man ice fishing looks class. Im from ireland. Would love to be able to do that.. it doesnt freeze that hard here though. You should visit here plenty of 20 pounders to be had👍
Like the vids man, just subbed. Im in SE Michigan and have zero ice. Looking to head up north if I dont get ice by next weekend. Where about are you at where you have ice. Not looking to impede on your spot, just looking for somewhere with some fishable ice.
From what I've heard after the rain you'll have to go at least past M55. Even then, lots of shore ice has melted so each lake can be a little different.
@@peelindrag113 Thanks man. Appreciate the info. I may be heading up toward Houghton lake next weekend to check it out. Hopin theres some ice cus Im betting St Clair and everything south is gonna take a few more weeks. Good Luck to ya out there.
Hello. I seen you dont share the names of lakes you fish (understandably so). However with no ice down state, can you recommend a lake in northern Michigan I can try next weekend?
Just like we were doing in the video, use tip ups. No radar needed just look down the hole for weeds if you can, and try to fish 8-15ft deep keeping the bait a few feet off bottom
You can still ice fish when its warmer but you have to use more cation and should stay on lakes your familiar with. Rain is the main thing that melts it.
I use wire when open water fishing for pike, but I've never had a problem using heavier flurocarbon when ice fishing. I've found it helps catch other fish too like bass and walleye.
I always use wire when open water fishing with lures, but when using live bait I've found using heavier flurocarbon gets me more bass, walleye and other species along with pike. As long as you play them out, I can't remember the last time I broke a pike off on 30+lb flurocarbon.

Them are some cool dudes you’re fishing with there
Should do a vid tutorial on how u rig those ifish pros. Thinking of getting one

Seriously your videos are so fun to watch!!
Always enjoy the vids!!
Great fishing bro!! Hope it stays warm for y’all!!

Thank you for showing the cute doggo at the end!!!
Thanks for watching till the end!
Nice video! Missed my chance to get out on the ice around my area of Wexford county, despite some nice ice. Hoping it all freezes good again soon!
Hopefully it won't be too long 🤞good luck this season!

Great video buddy!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video! Great catches!!! Keep up the good work!!!
Finally a non fly-fishing video lol. Great content as always
Still wish I was fly fishing 🙄
Great vid!

Hoping to get her out fishing soon!
Great video, loving the content 🤙🤙
Fun times!
Always a blast!
Great video bud 🎣
The pike may have been small but they was in mint condition👍
Good luck and tight lines 🎣🎣🎣
Thanks Gavin! Good luck out there👍
I was able to get on ice in SW michigan once before 2020, hopefully it ice over down this way soon
I'm sure winter will hit hard eventually..

Good action. Where are you?
Nice vid, my 10yo daughter came with me the other day for her first pike session. She caught her first pike. 89cm and today her second 63cm.
That's awesome, I'm glad you had some success. Can't wait to get back out there!

It sure is a nice mix up, can be lots of fun. I'd love to take a trip over there for some true giants, hopefully someday!
Nice video. I'll let you know when we get ice in Berrien County.
That basic tip up is exactly the kind I use lol
Cheap yet effective 👍

Yea it was 50 in in Oshkosh Wisconsin the other day. Lots of open water everywhere.
Time for steelhead fishing!
I guess lol
How thick was the ice on that second lake
So the tip ups that hold the rod.....Doesn't bait have to be "jigged" up and down to entice fish? Ive never understood why tip ups work so well!
We were using live bait, so it swims around on it's own. No need for jigging
Hey whenever you local boys are ready to have fun lemme know 😉 I hang by the sands a lot.
Hello. I seen you dont share the names of lakes you fish (understandably so). However with no ice down state, can you recommend a lake in northern Michigan I can try next weekend?
I know I'm 3 weeks late on the comment but I live on lake missaukee and ice is pretty good and so is the fishing, check it out!
Great vid tho btw!
Thanks man!
What would you recommend to a fisherman like me who don’t have a sonar but wanna catch pike
Just like we were doing in the video, use tip ups. No radar needed just look down the hole for weeds if you can, and try to fish 8-15ft deep keeping the bait a few feet off bottom
55 here in Milwaukee yesterday. Not a Christmas or Winter feel here. disappointing no ice fishing😕
It'll be 50°f one day and 10°f the next 😂 we'll see how this winter goes
lol yup, supposed to be 17 next wednesday so hopefully the ice will be good!
So when it’s warmer like that is the ice to thin for the most part so it makes it impossible to fish? Im from az where its rarely even below 32
Yes, the ice may not melt to where it isn’t safe, but it will become weak also, which is very unsafe
You can still ice fish when its warmer but you have to use more cation and should stay on lakes your familiar with. Rain is the main thing that melts it.
Finally!!! Lol
What do you use as a stopper on the IFish pros
A thread bobber stop
@peelindrag what lake are you on
Lol
what county? I've got an extended weekend and trying to figure just how far north I have to go for solid ice.
A little north of M55. After all the rain lots of shore ice melted though
Do they hook them selves or how does it work?
It free spools until you get there, then you set the hook.
What lakes do you fish on?
🤐🤐🤐
@@peelindrag113 Lol
Bet this feller just hammered down on his pud once he got home
I'm up here in Houghton mi let's link up
Shouldn’t be using fluorocarbon need to start using wire
I use wire when open water fishing for pike, but I've never had a problem using heavier flurocarbon when ice fishing. I've found it helps catch other fish too like bass and walleye.
Why do you don’t use steal leader ? When a pike cuts the line then he dies with a hook in his mouth 😕👎🏼
