    I've flown in my neighbor's 900 and there are a lot of things to watch during the quick start. Thanks for amplifying the process. You forgot to say 'don't become distracted by the fantastic sound'.

    I'm in the market to buy a new one. Though I have to admit I'm a little nervous but the company is great at their training. I'm just trying to study ahead of time before my real training kicks in. .... I'll never get tired of the sound.

    Nice video! I have a question: How does the propeller (connected to the free power turbine) turn before fuel is injected? Does it just turn with air coming from the ATS or the battery? I thought the turbines turned with the expansion of gases.

    • @ArktikosAdventures
      @ArktikosAdventures 4 года назад +2

      Just by the flow of air. Even before the air is ignited it still has a bit of energy to get things moving. Just picture a fan plugged in and blowing air on a free wheeling fan directly connected to a 3rd fan via a geared link(prop).

    Very well done, I am curious as to why they are introducing fuel at 13% and not waiting for stabilization? You would get cooler starts.

    • @sebastianraschke8581
      @sebastianraschke8581 8 лет назад +1

      +skennedy13 because without fuel it cannot start up...

    • @jeffhankinson6884
      @jeffhankinson6884 8 лет назад +1

      For starters, what stabilization are you referring to, N1 or temperature? Second, this presumably is the first start of the day which spinning the fan past 13% would only drain the battery. Suggest an education partner.

    My motorcycle is harder to turn on.

  • @mdw159

    There is a thing that I didn't agree...
    If we want to abort the start,, why you turn off starter motor..??
    For me is it good to keep motor starter running to cool down ITT temp. Just put throttle lever into "cut off position" to cur fuel supply...

    • @UncleKennysPlace
      @UncleKennysPlace 6 лет назад +3

      The starter can overheat, as well.

    • @daviator4720
      @daviator4720 5 лет назад +1

      I was wondering the same thing. If the starter has reached cut-out at 52%, then yes but otherwise why not allow the engine to be purged through continued rotation? I can see that the "one minute timing" might be an issue.

    As with so many videos, why, why why does everyone think music is essential... it is not!
