- I exhort elders to feed the flock of God which is among you, I Peter am also an elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, I am a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed, take the oversight of the church, not by constraint but willingly, not for filthy lucre but of a ready mind, neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock, when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away,

A pastor feeds the church the word of God. An elder is an exemplary older man with experience and a calling from God. A bishop is one who oversees a congregation and gives it direction. These descriptions are of the same office which has three different functions within it. The Scripture concludes that it takes a plurality of men in this office to minister to the needs of a church.
My main question is what’s the difference between a pastor and bishop? The reason I ask is because 1 Timothy 3 and Titus both mention bishop while in Ephesians 4 it mentions pastors along with teachers, evangelists, deacons and apostles but not the word “Bishop”. So I’m wondering are bishops the same as pastors or is there a small difference?

I was asking the same question. If they are the same, why Give qualifications for the same office elder/bishop. And then why not state the qualifications of a pastor if it were done with the other 2. But then ephesians states Pastors as a gift alongside the other gifts in the body but elder, deacon, and bishop isn't mentioned.
