It was a pleasure to play on this one... Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Mr. Carter for your outstanding contribution to music. A pleasure to listen to you and your wonderful colleagues on this record. Blessings.., from Costa Rica.!
Mr. Carter, its a pleasure hearing you, Mr. Garland, Burrell and Rilley on this album. Everytime I listen it sounds better!
I too had the privilege of seeing him live in about 77 or 78 in Akron, Ohio. I attended three of four nights. I don't remember who he had on bass or drums but it was a most memorable experience. The first two nights I had a different date each night. The third I went alone so I could devote all my attention to the music. He was indeed very friendly and willing to spend time talking one-on-one with an anonymous fan. Wonderful. Glad to have a memory like that. Thanks.
Merveilleux album.
Thank you SO much for this! I've never heard this album. ❤😊 🎶
VERY good record - Carter and Riley really swing here.
Why thank you :)
Beautiful album!!! Very very good!!! -.-
lovely
THANK YOU
There was a reason Miles Davis chose him he had wonderful tonality among other good musical chops
Sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow forgot the login password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Nikolai Johan instablaster ;)
@Mauricio Jack Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Mauricio Jack it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thank you so much you saved my ass!
@Nikolai Johan You are welcome =)
I had chances to see Kenny Burrell, Ron Carter and
why the bass so juicy 😳
Can’t find this album on ITunes
!!
Anyone a kid that’s 11
Red Garland. I love all of his trio albums as well as everything he recorded. A true master of his art.
Such a taste. I can only show him. Adult jazz which I understood is also acidic and sweet. It is a masterpiece.
we need to make sure everyone hears this....specially the young people.....so they don't forget!
melanie ross Exactly!! Cheers!
0:00 Yours Is My Heart Alone + 8:14 You Stepped Out Of A Dream + 13:40 I Wish I Knew + 22:16 Have You Met Miss Jones + 30:57 Daahoud + 37:04 Here's That Rainy Day
Henri de Lagardère Henri have you checked that channel i suggested? On that you have crystal clear albums among them 5/6 of Red Garland’s. Everything is remastered. This is by the way an great album, with Kenny B and Ron C. Are you still doing those very helpful time-slots? Good talking to you, whilst i grab a Groppello Classico. Enjoy & Cheers!
thank you. someone thought it would be a good idea to a put wrong timestamps in the desc.
You are my heart's delight, and where you are I long to be. You make my darkness bright and like a star you shine on me. I don't know where you got the Yours is My Heart Alone from.
bertsong Very appropriate! This is beautiful Jazz-piano. Enjoy & Cheers!
OOH MR. RED GARLAND SO BEAUTIFUL!! LOVE YOU MUCHO MUCH!!
I got to hear him in his last years in Dallas. He did stuff that was crazy atonal and wild I'm not sure are picked up on his recordings. He'd take time to chat with his fans, had a great laugh and well-developed sense of humor. A good man and brilliant pianist I feel grateful to have met and hear live.
You are lucky to have heard Garland live, he is truly exceptional!
funny you should mention it...
Do you know if there are any films of Garland performing? I would sure love to see one.
Crazy bass
RC!
Fantastic pianist and master of the -block cords-. Big influence on Bill Evans. His lyrical, intimate and mesmerising style of playing appealed more to me than (less warmish) mr Evans did. Was (a cornerstone) of the Miles Davis group from the mid to late 1950’s. Went out of the picture during the 60’s and started doing recordings/gigs again in the 1970’s. This LP is three years before he passed away. This very stylish melodic piano player has influenced countless pianists over the years and i think he still does! Currently Dave Nimmer springs to mind who also respects the melody structures! This is a beautiful album, thank you and Cheers!
The guy is classy. His harmony reverberates. Full sound. NOBODY in jazz plays like him. His sound is RICH.
jamal jabbar spot on! Cheers!
Buddy Rich also had a RICH sound...... HAhaa!!!["Yes -- very funny, you **** "]
Yes Ronald!! Cheers!!
@@andresdelafuente3783 And Cheers to you Andrès!
Red Garland...toujours formidable ! Merci beaucoup Bernie´s Bootlegs
Yeahhhh ! Trio 1, 3 & 5. Quartet 2, 4 & 6.
Ron Carter is terrific on this album.

너무 아름다워요!~ 잘 듣겠습니다! 감사합니다! 버니 샌더스!^^♥
Fantastic music, what a find, thank you very much for posting this, Bernie Sanders. How do you find the time to do, this is an inspiration for itself.
THANK YOU
Muhammad Abdullah Yeh MM this is indeed great stuff! Enjoy & Cheers!
¡Magnífico!
감사합니다 thanks!
master piece
I class above Red's other stuff - maybe his best album. Love it! Pretty good boxer too.!
Why no mention of Kenny Burrell on tune 2?
Sorry but....
Mr P.C. was "The Bass Sound" for this kind of jazz....
His sound, so warm and cool, was the best sound ever heard, along with Mr La Faro, Mingus, Watkins, Pettiford and Brown....
This bass sound like a frettless bass, and this is out of the Garland' style...
This is my opinion, and I love so much Ron Carter....
yeah, this period of bass sound isn't great. I'm not sure why they went for it
look the line up, no much more to say...
Not nearly as good as the classic trio albums with Paul Chambers and Art Taylor.
