Circumventing GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Saturday, August 17, 2024. Chiefs 23 - Lions 24.

Just missed catching Lions winning 43-yd field goal Saturday, August 17th, 2024.
Chiefs 23 - Lions 24… it was a hot (HAF) day hence you can see the stadium cleared out. Early on though it was full.
I was suspect about flying drone in this area. I’d seen one in parking lot on the way into game.
When I boot the RC it shows you registered fly zone information. This day I had no warnings. I was cautious and did not fly over stadium. I just am circumnavigating the stadium during record.
As the drone was in RTH and capturing video it captures my friends showing up on golf carts asking who the “pilot” was. They have a ‘written policy’ no drones. Which is communicated only by small B/W signs in parking lot. My new friends mentioned that since preseason game there was no flight restrictions posted with FAA which is why RC didn’t show any restrictions.
The guys were very polite and professional. I wasn’t tasered, sprayed with mace, etc… Actually had a good discussion on the benefits of drones used by first responders. All out to these guys and their attitude on handling the situation.
