I love this, I always do these budget resets (its easy to get off track)... I am so used to pen and paper but, thinking I need to do something like this- its pretty and makes it more exciting to use!

I pay my Renters Insurance bill annually and put it on the "bills tracker" but it shows up every month rather than just on the month it's paid. I've had to add it to subscription in order to do so, but wasn't sure if there was a work around? Thanks in advance! :)
@@robbinova so the bills section is really meant for recurring monthly bills, you can either leave in the bills section and just keep “actual” as $0 since, the only part that auto populates is the budget. Since you pay it annually I would probably just put it as a variable expense and track it under a broader category like “home” or something. And then when you pay the annual bills, you would track it in your expenses, and categorize it as “home” or “utilities@ or whatever broader category you choose.

Im curious to know what credit card you use for travel! Maybe you could do a video on credit cards and how you use them to get travel points and/or cash back.
Love the update! 2023 buyer who is going to buy again! I was wondering if you have any advice or guidance for tracking credit card debt/expenses in this form- if I put the expenses and the debt payment it will “double count” but there are some purchases I make on the cards for points. Any advice on how to track this?
So for purchases that are for points, do you pay them off immediately? I didn’t really make a section for that bc I actually make all my purchases on my CC but then I pay it off immediately, within a month, I essentially use my credit card as a debit card. So any purchases made with my credit card I just track in the monthly estense tracker. I also didn’t want to over complicate tracking. I know a lot of trackers have a debt snowball thing but I personally get overstimulated with too many things to track. When realistically, if you’re just tracking payments you’re making and your progress that’s all you really need (in my opinion). But if you want something more extensive for debt tracking, I’ve definitely seen some debt-specific trackers on Etsy! 💗
I purchased the last budget planner and loveeee it! The only thing is that I had to redo it in excel since I am well versed in Excel more than Google. Is there an Excel version? 🙈😊

Loved the video!! For the savings calculator: let's say there's a month you can contribute more, would that change the monthly contribution? Ex: your home repair fund has a minimum monthly contribution of 1.1k a month. Let's say in Feb you contribute 2.5k. Would it recalculate a new monthly contribution since technically you are much closer with putting 2x more that month?
@@gee25-777 that’s a great question!! No the calculators are more so a starting point to decide what to contribute! But once you start contributing the graph shows you your progress as well as your current balance so you can still see how much you’re progressing with your goals and whether you’re on track to meet the initial target goal date that the calculator had given you. Hope that makes sense! 💗
Have you thought of doing a weekly or biweekly version of this? I like to plan my expenses per paycheck. I know it might be more work to do so but just a thought. That’s how I’m currently doing my budgeting Google sheets
Yes! Well I actually plan to do mine at each paycheck, with this same tracker. I don’t really see why I’d need to change the format. You basically just go in during your pacycheck, write the amount of that paycheck, like I did in the video, and update your budget estimations if you want, but mainly my focus is where is my money going? So i plan to update my expenses in the expense tracker during my paycheck!

Did you purchase the new template? I added more lines to the budget template and to the expense tracker! Lmk if you encounter any issues where you need more lines. However, I wouldn’t recommend doing it yourself unless you feel comfortable filling in/revising the formulas for the additional cells. It’s definitely possible to add more cells but again, only with the aforementioned caveat.
@ Sorry I just re-read your message again. Currently there is room for 20 debts and 20 sinking funds to be tracked. I think it should be more than enough. I unfortunately don’t think I’ll be able to add more to these sections at this time, since I’d have to change every single tab at this point. However, if you need more cells for the expense tracker or something similar, I can definitely add more lines to those sections. @@leabeliving thank you so much 🥹💗 so the sinking funds section is a helpful way to keep track of savings! In addition to that, personally, I use Wealthfront since it’s a high yield savings account. In the app I also separate my sinking funds into categories so that I can add money to separate sinking funds! I have a link in the description to sign up if you’re interested in checking them out. 💗

@@EatPrayDream I don’t have an app, I just track it on my subscriptions tracker 😭 I’ve used rocket money before and that works pretty well for showing you your subscriptions! But this is why monthly budgeting is so important! Because if you’re tracking your expenses, item by item, you will catch all of your expenses, including subscriptions. It literally happened to me while setting up my budget in this video!! 🤌🏽
Love this template! the only thing I am having trouble with is the debt section: I have start amount in, and my goal amount by the end of the year in. Left to pay off goal amount doesn't automatically fill in. For example: Start amount: $5,000, Goal amount $0, Total Debt Paid OTY: $1000, LEFT TO PAY OFF GOAL AMOUNT: $1,000. IT automatically corrects one of them but my other two it does not. Hopefully this makes sense
