I bought the casio GW-5610 a decade ago and never used it when I decided to do so I was concerned that the rechargeble battery wouldn't work, so I charged the watch and the battery indicater went to H for high that was 3 years ago and has stayed there ever since, (G shock) arguably the greatest watch ever made.
I have to admit, the initial reason it caught my eye was because it did favor that AP face quite a good deal... but that's not a bad thing! Inspiration is inspiration! I've been wearing G-Shock's for well over 15 years and this is the first one that I've really been excited about in quite some time.. perhaps even good enough to be their comeback watch, as they haven't really had a "hit" in a handful or so years...

Give that GA-2100 the same features as my GW-7900B with solar and waveband 6 and Casio couldn't take my money fast enough. Practicality and visually appealing.
Great to see an uncluttered face which is easy to read. For me the unfussy design is a winner, I really dislike the excess of text and overdone itsy bitsy sub screens. Really hard to read as you get older.
If Casio would only add Tough Solar to this watch....
And Bluetooth for time sync only. No need for Multiband6 as it's not for everyone.

@@willd4491 not really, there isn't a bluetooth solar version with this exact dial. only the gray one which is harder to read
I just picked up this watch and it is fantastic. I am having a hard time not wearing it. Also picked up a stealth square which has an appeal all its own. Can't go wrong either way. Now if they make it with solar that be very cool.

I'd love to see a square that uses a full LCD display that can change from a full analogue dial with hands to the classic numerical layout. Kind of like an updated version of the 1983 Casio A201 that was featured in the movie Blue Thunder.

To me the biggest advantage of this analog/digital G-Shock is its overall thinness. The GA-100 and GA-800 series G-Shocks are chunky monkeys compared to this svelte companion of the square 5600 series.
I like very much the 1A1ER version of the watch. It looks like wearing an octagon black hole on your wrist. I imagine it in vanta black dial with normal black hands - just for contrast. It will be difficult someone to steal your time (watching in your watch) while you travel to work by the public transport.
Carbon Core - It’s so legible compared to other G shocks with colors. I like the metal ones that someone referred to as a “toilet oak”
I have the "Red-Out" version. I've enjoyed wearing it. Wears light and allows me to have a bit of fun in uniform.
Mr. Wombatt yeah problem with uniform is that your watch is the only expression you get to have
@@adipuppi, not completely, at least for me. I'm an EMT. I wear a badge holder that allows me to switch out logos on it. Currently, it has an Oakland Raiders logo displayed. I might switch it to the "Deadpool" mask I had made. 😎

My favourite analogue G Shock, great simple dial. Hope they do different colours & a metal one would be great in this design

I think the stealth one is a great looking watch.
I spotted this one a while back and have been waiting for a restock alert. I love the solid grey version.The way the bezel is molded in one piece with the case looks really slick. I also have the "bling master" great name 😁in positive and negative. CONGRATS to Sam. Such a nice thing Rob does with the watches!

I love how you mentioned the NFL tie-ins. Yea I agree it's silly but I bought the GW-9400BJ-1JF almost solely because Doug Pederson wore it when the Eagles won Super Bowl LII. To me it's my Super Bowl ring and I wear it every gameday.

Just got this in Christmas sales will sit alongside my square bamford edition and metal square. In these COVID times i feel more comfortable going out with these rather than my seamaster, gmt black ceramic and Speedmaster.
I prefer to use my G-shocks as work horses💪🏻💪🏻

It was never a serious threat -- just the usual games played when bean counters order an x-percent cut in an agent's annual budget, so the administrator comes up with the thing that will infuriate the public the most to insure maximum outrage. The HAM community was the most vocal in protest and the WWVB signal remains transmitting day and night as it always has been and for the foreseeable future.

GA 2100 shares the shape of Audemars and the DS 5600 shares the shape of Patek Philippe... at least to me
I hate negative digital display.
Can someone tell me how the carbon cores feel in the hand? The material is similar to the normal squares? I buy watches online only and the new carbons look like they feel like shiny plastic.
Doesn't feel cheap to me. Feels great. I have a side by side with a stealth 5600 on my insta @halfoastblog if you want to check it out.

Got this and after 1 week I'dont feel it anymore. It is just like a baby-G watch. So plain & boring for the its srp. Better buy the square with MB6 & Tough Solar.
