@@biscuitsalive I know Royal Oak that's why I'm interested in this watch. 😁 This watch in steel would be beautiful without being a copy/homage to the Royal Oak.
I have many high end G-Shock such as an MRG-G2000 and the all carbon GWRB1000 but the GA2100 simply rocks. Amazing design and extremely lightweight thanks to the carbon case. It's quickly become my all time fav G-Shock!
Amazing value given the carbon case. Swiss charge a stupid premium for carbon models. Love this watch. Thanks to carbon case, it allowed them to make it thinner than if it were made of regular plastic and its extremely light.
I picked up the red version of this as my beater watch. I really like any gear I take into rough terrain to be highly visible, making it really easy to find if I put it down or drop it. I've been playing with mine for a few days and had no idea you could move the hands out of the way of the display. Thanks for your review and info!
Not sure why the black is so popular, personally like the great legibility of mine with the white markers. Totally agree with the thoughts on the overall design. Much more mature
Yep I think I agree. I possibly should have gone for the clearer black/white one. But I’m not keen on the writing on the bezel “PROTECTION” etc. But the face legibility would be an improvement over my stealth one.
I just got mine today with the white batons... It was the last one in my town and i live in the 2nd biggest borough in London! Im going into london next week to get the other two. Whoop got me a casioak!
@@biscuitsalive the whites definitely the more practical but i think they all have a time and place. The stealth and red for sports (red mainly but you cant wear red all the time because it will clash too much) and the white for chill comfy everyday wear. 😁👌

I wish Casio would get their butts in gear and start manufacturing and marketing enough of them to meet the demand! I'd buy one!
The black version with the white markers and white lettering is the best one so far. Also the thinnest G-Shock is the G-7800. Also, the ugly watch you're saying is a very old riseman.

i have a question for you, i shoot surf always with tripod. you think that gh5s with veltrox m2 and canon 100 400 first G will be good for long video shoot, did the stabilization work with that combo? or i have to go with gh5 any advice please
I’ve heard great things about canon 100-400 for sharpness and I.S. For video. Gh5s is great. Cleaner image than gh5. But you do lose Ex sensor crop that the gh5 has. So this gives more reach. I don’t myself using that a lot for surf. But that lens should be great yes.
im not sure, it seems popular, but not for me i don't think, at a glance its pops and is pretty neat, but i think i would tire of such a bright colour after a few weeks. prob a good choice if you collect, and have several boring black watches already.
@@Hooligan112 no, i think its clearly a mans watch, the red would look good if you are in the ocean or running or doing some active stuff i think, but if you ever want to dress smart it would stand out too much i reckon.
im about a 7" wrist so a bit below average i would guess. that 2100 wears really well due to its thin profile and form hugging strap. i think small and big waisted chaps could pull it off IMO
So.... where do you get them for under $100? I'm seeing them on Amazon for $250 - $340. I would never buy a non-solar, quartz, mineral glass watch for those prices.
Clearly the answer is subjective. I know women with bigger wrists than mine. But I think most people would agree that it’s a mans watch. But it’s not fat or heavy so... (My girlfriend is same height as me, but she wouldn’t like it on her.)
@@iangraham705 Nah, the GA800 is a mid-size watch. I am using it. It is affordable. It uses a SINGLE batt, unlike the GA2100 & the GA2000. And, the batt it uses is the ubiquitous CR2016. I can even get this batt from the supermarket. The GA2000 also does NOT have a second hand. To me, a rugged watch without a second-hand is just odd.
