    Thank you for such an easy to follow along with video! Also, thank you for mentioning how one aspect of making your prototype nearly had you in tears. As a new jewelry maker I often struggle with how to make something work the way I’ve pictured it in my head. I get frustrated and feel like I will never be able to do this. Knowing others go through similar things is really helpful to me and gives me the confidence to carry on.

    Hello Carol, I love your tutorials ❤ I have a general question. I make a lot of jewelry with miyuki beads. For clasps and extension chains I never know what to buy. Some materials discolour 😕 What kind of material is best.. stainless steel? 18 k gold plated? 925 silver?... so many to choose from! Hope you can help me? Thank you 😊 Greets from Sonja in Belgium

    • @The_Stylish_Maker
      @The_Stylish_Maker  Год назад +1

      Hi Sonja, stainless steel is generally good and won't discolour unless it is silver/gold plated. I've found that some plated stainless steel items do discolour. Have you tried adding some anti-tarnish tissue paper to the packaging. Basically air is the worst enemy so you want to keep your items packaged properly. I hope that helps.

    Your my last hope I just recently started bead weaving I'm having a problem with measuring for a bracelet adding the clasp I have googled and I even bought a book with my luck nothing about measuring they either end up too short or to long before I add the clasp is there a rule of thump for this it's to the point that I almost hate when it comes to that point help please

    • @The_Stylish_Maker
      @The_Stylish_Maker  Год назад

      Hi Janie, that's a great question. It does depend on the size of the clasp and whether you are adding jump rings, etc. What I would do is make up the clasp and measure it. What I mean by that is if you are using a jump ring for the clasp to open and close with, then put the jump ring into the clasp and close it. If you are using jump rings on either side of the clasp, then add those as well. Then you can lay it down and measure it. This could be quite a good little video so keep watching - I might just pop one up for that. Thanks.

    I cannot find 4" loops....are they bracelet or ring size?

    • @The_Stylish_Maker
      @The_Stylish_Maker  Год назад

      4" loops seems like a weird size. These were 4cm which is 1.57". 4" seems too big for a bracelet and not big enough for a necklace. Was the measurement across or around the outside? Usually it's across.

    This video is a year old, so I don't know if you will ever see my comment, but!! ... I made earrings yesterday with 6 cut pieces of memory wire and needed to make a loop on each end. Guess what I disovered. You can use your magic looper to do that!! You still have to fiddle to get it just right, but it's so much easier than using the pliers! I wanted to show you a picture, but didn't know how to insert it.

    • @The_Stylish_Maker
      @The_Stylish_Maker  3 месяца назад

      Thanks Deborah. Unfortunately, you can't share photos here on RUclips. You can post a comment on a post on my Facebook page though, or email me (carol@thestylishmaker.com). I wouldn't ever use my 1-step Looper (I'm assuming that's what you mean) on memory wire as it will blunt your blades and ruin it. It specifically states that it's not to be used on memory wire on the pack. The memory wire is too hard.
