Carol, thank you for all your jewelry videos, you are a great instructor and explain the details very well. I binge watched your videos and am looking forward to more. Keep doing what you're doin, you're awesome.
Hi Wanda, thank you for your lovely comment. Memory wire can be a little tricky, just because it's a bit springy. I'm sure you will be fine though. You might also want to try a memory wire bracelet.
Only just found your channel! I'm very new to jewelry making. I've watched a few videos from several people and you are by far my favorite. You explain everything so well! Thank u so much for being such a great teacher! I can't wait to get started making jewelry! BTW mesa arizona usa here 😀
Hi Carole. Thank you for explaining and sharing your earring ideas. Love them! I got desperate one day with trying to close my loops and reached for my crimping tool, I have the same green handle one as you. Closing loops have never been easier.
Thank you Priscilla. I have that happen to me too. Sometimes the answer is so simple but we can't see it. I'm glad you enjoyed this - I'm sure there's lots of memory wire earrings in your future.
The only memory wire earrings I ever made were beaded ½ or ¾ circles with crimp beads and crimp covers to secure everything in-place. I would occasionally add a few strands of chain but they were so similar. They were fun and had lots of movement but there's a lot of memory wire on the spools I purchased so I needed variety for my display. Your second pair is awesome! I am drawn to the unexpected and that pair definitely appeals to me. So many possibilities. Now I need to locate my spools of memory wire, I have them packed in a box somewhere.
At all cost. Make your loops in the direction the wire is curved. Make your loop in that direction first then assess the situation as to whether you can Make your design with the loop you just made. Make your adjustments from there. Try it. Always easier. Stronger. Stays closed better and won’t snap.
Small ones with ring memory wire. Love memory wire cause it's quick and easy. But haven't found a way to finish it for children. Somehow gets caught in their hair no matter how unsnaggy I think I've got it.. Wish I could torch, melt, or sand perfect endings. Any ideas?
Hi Elizabeth, thank you for your comment. You can purchase half drilled beads (they are only drilled half way through so that the hole appears only on one side) and glue them to the ends. Here's an example: www.affordablejewellerysupplies.co.nz/products/ball-half-drilled-2mm
Hi Nanette, I'm not sure that I can answer that. It really depends on how much you spend of materials and also the time involved. Also, where in the World you live. Here in New Zealand, hand made items don't have a very high retail price but I know that overseas things can sell for much more. Sorry, not much help.
Hello! I notice when I use different wire components, the wire eventually blackens meaning don't mix different metals. But, how do I buy products that won't turn dark or black? I made lots of jewelry to do my first craft show, but had to have surgery, so I lost that year. Now much of that jewelry turned. I used jewelry cleaner but it didn't bring it back.
Hi Patrick, how are you storing your jewellery? If you're storing it in plastic bags, you will find that it does tarnish. I would try buying a little jewellery cleaning machine (they are quite cheap) and see if that helps to get your jewellery clean. I'm glad you have recovered now. Carol
Thank you. I appreciate that. We are getting new stock in all the time (we just got a shipment on Monday). If you click the "Notify Me When Available" button and enter your details you will get an email when things are restocked.

Wondering how much you think these earrings would sell for? Wholesale and retail?

That's OK, Nadine. We all have different tastes. What a boring world it would be if we all liked the same things.
