Hang in there! It's so difficult caring for aging parents. I lost my dad suddenly when he was 47, then years later my mom got cancer and passed when she was 56. I was her caregiver and that was really hard. It's good you and your sister can share the burden. While your dad is unable to understand what's going on, your mom can see. Plus it shows you are a good son. It's hard though when you try to live your own life. We live with my MIL and she needs help, can't live on her own. But despite the stress, Mayu is feeling better and your diabetes is under control. It's little victories that help keep us going. Once you lose sight of those it is easy to fall into a deeper depression. Thank you for opening up and doing your best
Hey, great to see an update on here! In life we keep fighting, it's always going to be a roller coaster but you're a resilient individual. Your insight is correct, we're at that phase in life where these responsibilities come into play and we have no choice but to step up to the plate. As kids our parents took care of us and raised us, now they depend on our help and this is the natural cycle of life. As rough as it is, there is a satisfaction to knowing you are doing your part and that is enough. We make the effort and keep on living. In between I always look forward to our outings that give us a chance to let loose a little and enjoy! Keep up the great work broski!
Love you brother , hope everything goes well. I have seen your vids for a long time and i hope you will find peace. Its hard to see your parents grow old and in need, but you are doing a great deed of a loving son. I hope the best for you and your family be strong brother. And pets will always be with you and guide you in the afterlife. And always love the ones who are close to you.
Thank you for the update, Ozzy! I'm sorry about all of the hardships you're going through and I sincerely hope things get better quickly 🙏🏽 I was in a similar situation with my Jack Russel/Beagle mix, but she lived to be 20. I hope you get many more years with Maple ❤❤
Sorry to hear oz you got a lot on your plate to deal with man it’s all on you!!! Yeh my wife’s been in japan for 5 months looking after her elderly parents while I been in Sydney oz looking after our daughter And running my business not easy as the family get older life hey oz!!! One good note were off to japan after next week for a break for 3 weeks !!! Nice to hear your update man!!! ✌🏻 Stay positive!!!! 🤛🏻
I really appreciate the update even though you have a lot of difficult things happening in your life. I have been watching and enjoying your videos for a long time and have been wondering how you're doing. Even though life's hard for you right now, it will get better eventually. 🤞
I think my cat, Pantera made have had the situation with his kidneys, but the vets we took him to couldn’t find anything. Big hugs! I’ve had two friends who have had or are caring for their aging parents. You and your sister are strong and noble for helping them. My parents are older too. I live a short plane ride away and one of my siblings lives close to them. But I am ready for the phone call for when they need help.
I lost my dog last year... he was 16 years old. Im not gonna lie but it was very hard. Once they get to those ages it goes downhill fast. Your dog looks a lot better than mine was in the last year of his life though. My dog started having walking problems and fell down all the time. Started taking meds for pain and all that but its one of those things you cannot stop. Near the end he could barely walk without us holding him, he lost a lot of weight. Slept a lot. Eventually it just seemed like it wasn't fair to keep him around. He didn't wag his tail anymore, scratch himself, walked around like a zombie, didn't respond to his name etc. Nothing seemed to excite him anymore apart from dinner time. He had a bad day once, wouldnt stop barking and whining for over 12 hours, so we just decided that was time. It was the hardest time of my life looking after him because he couldn't do anything by himself, he couldn't be left alone ever. We probably looked after him way too long and most people would have just let him go but we held on to him as long as we could before he started losing quality of life and suffer. It was a sad day but you'll get through it. Maple still looks alright for a good while anyway. Just gotta give them the best until they go. That's life. I moved to Japan last year by the way, so I live here now with my wife who is Japanese. I took my dogs ashes with me of course. Good luck and enjoy Maple as much as you can because time flies.
Thanks for your lovely comment and advice. Actually Maple passed away a few days ago so it was heartbreaking but I guess it was his time. I will miss him as you miss your dog. You had a wonderful 16 years and I had 15. I guess that is all we can really ask for.
@@ozzy78 So sorry to hear this man. I know how you feel. We just gotta remember they lived a good long life and it was time to go. I got my buddy behind me in his urn with photos so it's all good. Remember the good time. Take care man.
Sorry to hear about the hardships but remember you're awesome! Ozzy Awesome! Seriously though wishing you the best.
