Nice cages. What's your male/female ratio now? Thanks.

How do you open the cages? I need to find some clean out trays like you have.

+slidog24 I have installed simple latches like you might use on storm windows or screens for windows. They weren't on when I filmed this video (I had bent nails holding the doors shut then...LOL). I like to keep things simple and these latches are working out well. They just swing one way or the other and hold the hardware cloth in place. The "door" is just a cut piece of hardware cloth. The wire is secured on the top edge with heavy duty staples and the latches hold the door shut. The "clean out trays" are "drip trays" or "drip pans" I found at AutoZone. Search for those and you'll find them. They are about $10 each and work great. I built my cages around the size of the pans because they are just the right size.

How do you flush out the system when bacteria builds up?

Richards Homestead Great question. I haven't run into this problem (yet). But I would just fill the bucket with a bleach solution, then unscrew the watering cups one by one and flush them out through a hose clamped to the fitting. Another great reason to have the shut off valve up by the bucket.
