That's a good spot..=] I fish the Hocking pretty often. If you are still down in Athens we should get together and fish sometime! Also, you are probably catching spotted bass. Largemouth are pretty uncommon in the Athens stretch. Tight lines and good luck this season!
I check the tongues on them when I catch them. Definitely a lot of spots but also catch a lot of late summer smooth tongue largies too. Thanks for watching!
@@thecreekcrawler Have a few times but I shy away just because I know it's a pretty popular spot, but I know people do well in there. I caught one positive Walleye over by the golfcourse bridge once. Catch a lot of saugs but had that one walleye and thought that was pretty neat.
@@OhioWild Yea that place does get hammered. I have a couple holes that don't get much if any pressure further down. That bridge in this particular video is one of my favorite holes.. I just get reluctant to make videos there..It is a hard line to walk when you try to make good content but want to hide your locations.

I know there’s better stuff out of town too, that whole town stretch gets some decent traffic from students for sure, but I guess I wouldn’t worry about it ever getting too overrun. I’ve definitely caught some big fish in that whole stretch.
