Ah yes i’ve made my way here before and I loved it. I’m so happy to see that this railroad is attracting more and more amazing railroad enthusiasts. Amazing video!
Sometimes I forget ex Lake Superior & Ispheming 33 ran here from the 70s til the late 90s before she was traded to Ohio Central and becoming apart of Jerry Jacobson's collection at the Age of steam roundhouse where she resides today. At least this 0-6-0 has continued to run steam on the Hocking Valley line these last few years. Interesting fact about the engine that despite its 101 years old its boiler is actually nearly 106 years old since it was originally gonna be for a Grand Trunk Western engine before it become Ohio Power 3
Apparently they owned 33 for years before they had a line to run it on, so it’s vital to HVSRs history. While it may have long left, people still remember it.
@@DynamoProductions-trains huh, didn't know they bought 33 before Hocking valley became a tourist line in the 70s but yeah many people haven't forgotten 33 since it left Hocking Valley.
Thank you for the video. This looks great. Do we need to purchase the tickets in advance? What is the availability and where can I get that information?
Their schedule has been somewhat varied each year, but they seem to be running it every other weekend during their May-November season. It's best to check their Facebook page for updates.

Great job. It was great to meet you that day. Thank you for coming to chase our train.
It was nice to meet you too. Hopefully this video encourages more people to go check the place out.
Superb video! 3 did an amazing performance! Loved seeing it up against the autumn colors.
Glad you enjoyed
This is one of my favourite steam engines. I might have to make a list of my top ten
Awesome video!
Thanks
Super great video, big thumbs up :)
Glad you enjoyed
Great video, I live a few miles from hocking. I will have to get on board someday. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed
Great video as always. Looks like another railroad I’ll have to add to my list of tourist railroads to visit.
Thanks, it’s a great place to visit even when they’re running diesel
Great video! I’ve always wanted to visit this railroad.
Thanks, it’s a good place that hopefully more people will check out.
Great whistle!
Agreed
Haven’t been there since the mid 80’s. Snowed that day. I’ve got to find the pictures.
Cool
I'd like to ride on The Hocking Valley Scenic Railway one day.
It’s definitely a nice ride

They bought 33 in 1965, they acquired the trackage in 1972. While the #3 may be a much smaller engine, it certainly can handle the line just as well
@@DynamoProductions-trains And that's what counts

I liked the angles in this video, some I've never seen done before. Hope to make it out there myself someday.
Glad you enjoyed. It’s a great place to visit and hopefully more people do.
Amazing video! When was this filmed?
Thanks. Filmed the October 17-18 weekend in 2020.
How often do they run her?

I have never heard of this place
Hopefully now you’ve heard of it.
@@DynamoProductions-trains my goodness it’s Beautiful and the wheel spin
What's the ruling grade out there? I'm surprised this saturated 0-6-0 can clip along like that for so long with a 500+ ton train
It’s a relatively flat route, about 12 miles each way. There’s a reason the 3 only does it once per day.
And the locomotive was a hundred years old in 2020.
Yep, we acknowledged its centennial in the description. Certainly an odd year but at least it ran.
@@DynamoProductions-trains yeah.
Clean up the backs it passes.
