    Thanks Paul and Susan for some more very helpful insights. I think it would be even more informative to 'voice over' more of your photos to highlight the points in each of your tips. The images of the model helped me get to 'ahah, I see what they mean' more rapidly. More images would demonstrate your points perfectly. Keep up the great work, Paul. I have learned a lot from your posts. Please keep them coming.

    What is a mood board .Pindres

    • @photogenius
      @photogenius  2 года назад

      Hi Christopher, As an example (and in the literal sense), a mood board could be a series of selected images cut from magazines and stuck to a board. Pinterest is effectively a "digital mood board" where you can save images to create a visual collection that represent and give a "feel" of what you are trying to achieve
      For example I did a 60's inspired photography shoot some time ago and put together a digital mood board for reference so the model, make up and styling all understood the look I was trying to achieve, here is a link so you can take a look : www.pinterest.com.au/thephotogenius/60s-inspiration-images
      Hope that helps, thanks for watching and supporting the Photo Genius channel.
      Paul 😀

    I have a new speedlight flash that i'm just starting to use more often.I use it on my Nikon d5600. The Neewer Speedlite 750 iii. However I noticed that sometimes when I have it on "burst" speed, the first picture will come out fine, but the second picture will be slightly darker, then the third picture will be even darker that that. Is this some kind of setting on my speedlight flash that I am overlooking? It didn't seem to do that when I first bought it.

    Your a great teacher and very easy to understand.
    I have a question if that is ok.
    I have bought my Daughter her first DSLR a Canon 400D second hand.
    It came with a 2gb compact flash card and there lies the problem, the camera works just fine with the supplied 2gb card and I can remove it and put it back into the camera with no problems at all but I have since purchased two separate compact flash cards from two different sources, one new =16GB and a second hand one =4GB and both give me the same error message on the camera screen that it cannot work or recognise either card but it works fine with the original card!
    I was wondering if you have any idea what the problem could be? and how it can be fixed?
    Thanks in advance for any ideas that you may have 🙂

    • @photogenius
      @photogenius  4 года назад +1

      I believe with the 400D you should be able to use cards upon to 8GB. The 16GB will not work and maybe the 4GB (as it's second hand) is faulty. Try and pick up some cheap 4GB and 8GB cards and they should be fine - ensure you format the card prior to use (this deletes the contents and sets the card up ready to shoot).
      Hope that helps.
      Paul

    • @MoncoField
      @MoncoField 4 года назад

      Yes you MUST always FORMAT the card when putting a new SD card in the camera. After you've filled the card up with pictures and upload them to your computer you MUST format the card again when you put it back in the camera. Just remember that when you format a card it DELETES everything on the card, so make sure those images are saved on the computer. Also a very important tip is to always buy a name brand SD card, from a trusted company like (Sandisk), never buy cheap ones EVER. Its not worht it. Plus SD cards are so affordable now anyway so theres really no excuse anymore. Also one last helpful tip is, if you are unsure about something camera related its usually best to go to the local camera store and ask someone in person. Doing that has saved me hundreds maybe thousands of dollars lol. Plus those people are usually very nice and love helping people. DONT go to Bestbuy though or places like that, go to a real camera shop. Wish i had kmown that sooner. Good luck with your photography
