True! We saw that interview. But could you imagine the scenes if he said he would be interested...? there would be crazy rumors about him coming back, I think he is definitely enjoying a gap year/retirement, but a potential comeback I think could still be there. I can imagine he would want to avoid potential interest because he'd be all over the media, you get me? Horner said he wouldn't be surprised as well, and that's what we wanted to discuss this video.
@FormulaTodayF1 I mean I could also imagine them mounting rockets and banana peals to the cars to make a Mario kart rece. And that would awesome AF. but I'm not gonna sit here a speculate under the premise of realism.
@@FormulaTodayF1As a big fan of Danny Ric I would like to see him return, but I think they would have to make a really sweet offer. He seems to be enjoying the time off. I mean Alonso came back and Vettel said he was done when he left, but is now flirting with the idea, so nothing is out of the realm of possibilities.
First, Red Bull ruined Daniel’s career by putting him in the VCARB with a team he was helping with feedback being critical. He was faster than Liam and Yuki in the Red Bull-the VCARB Mekies himself said they were unable to get a car for Daniel and he regrets it AND losing Daniel because he was critical for VCARB and Yuki’s development. That would make him more than a good idea for Cadillac. His U.S. popularity is unmatched. That brings $$ and attention-look, we are still talking about him and hoping he changes his mind! He is still fast. He could help them navigate F1 and media (rookies). He wasn’t ready to return and Horner knew that. Other teams were interested (according to Omar-Alpine) in Danny in 2023. Horner convinced him HE was the answer. 🙄 In a project he believed in and to make an American audience happy, Ric is THE choice. Hope he reconsiders
I mean it makes sense from a new team perspective for some stability in the first year or two. But whether they go for two experienced drivers remains to be seen. Definitely you can see them putting one in over 30yrs old with seasoned experience.
Everyone and their mother is been speculated at Cadillac. Drugovich, Ricardo, Perez, Pourchaire, Linblad, Bottas. Out of those only Drugo deserves the seat, the others are either ex drivers or unproven
so drugo deserves a seat over a a guy who finished in the top 3 in the drivers championship 3 of the last 4 years? it amazes me the hate perez gets. he had one bad year and people think he sucks.
Perez makes the most sense, just like Aston Martin went with Vettel, Red Bull with Coulthard, Mercedes with Schumacher. A new team will want an experienced pair of hands and a fan base. Disregarding the atrocious 2024 season (mostly in part due to the RB20 and Red Bull’s team culture of prioritizing one driver only), Perez has a solid resume, a large fan base specifically in the US and Latin America, and sponsors dollars. If you’re building a team that’s the way to go.
i could see perez and i actually think its a good pick for them i know perez had a bad year but overall in his career hes been a very good driver and for a new team i dont think you can do any better then him. in terms of dani ric even if he was interested i dont think cadillac is. Cadillac has made it know they want to a be a fully American team on every level down the road (while perez is not American being from mexico regionally it would be good for them) their going to go with someone like Herta or jak crawford calling it now. maybe more so crawford because hes already in f2 and closer to his super license then Herta is and both drivers race for Andretti already (crawford is the reserve formula e driver for Andretti)
F1 was dying a slow financial death before Liberty Media came along. If their business plan didn't work, why should Cadillac adopt a European model for driver selection? We don't need a bunch of washed-up drivers on the team. New Team, New Ideas, New Talent and that's the bottom line because STONE COLD says so.😂😂
perez is 100x better than danny and its not even close plus regionally him being from mexico in terms of business much better decision. like seriously what are you smoking
Aston Martin in 2026 for Perez. He know the team, Honda like him, Stroll is definitly not a good driver and Alonso has 42 years.... If Aston want to win in 2026, Checo must be one of the two drivers.
Do you think Horner is right about his latest comments regarding Checo & Ricciardo's future?
A Bottas/ Riccardo pairing would just be epic. Not only are they capable but great personalities
Riccardo has made it public that he doesn't want to race for an unproven team... C'mon. Now you are just posting videos for view. Do better.

Yeah thought the same thing. Lazy channels need banishing

Riccardo said words to the effect of no!
I hope those two really do come back to Formula 1
Why would Caddilac want two Red Bull cast offs?

How about Sargent & Latifi? A GOAT-Team would be epic 😂

Non of these two are coming back.
Perez would bring significant amount of money if Cadillac were to go after him, certainly a smart signing.
Yes, he could bring in significant amount of revenue that could help them to recover the enormous amount of investment money they’d pay to get in F1
Just more speculations aka bull shit
If u think about it with all the sponsors that come with both, great driver line up at first

Plenty of young drivers to pick from.
One driver will almost certainly be Colton Herta and I can see K Mag in the other seat.
HERTA needs to get some more License points first….
@@Redlingstein i can see crawford before herta. dudes already in f2 and did pretty well this season. hes probably much closer to a super then herta is
Let's pray not, personally grown very tired of the agony column with these two...😊
Its CADILLAC/GM

Bottas over either of these two! Then take an American driver and job done
I really hope this does not happen. they have both had their day. If I had to chose either driver it would be Danny., Sorry but Perez needs to be gone
perez is 100x better than danny and its not even close plus regionally him being from mexico in terms of business much better decision. like seriously what are you smoking

Alonso stays in 2026 and so does Stroll. Lawrence wants his son to drive the first real Newey guided F1 AM car… that will be the 2026 car.
@Redlingstein i know, but it's a very bad idea....
Cadillac might take Max….Perez is done and Dan has bigger fish to fry….Max before he goes to hypercars might drive Cadillac F1
Cadillac Will be backmarker FOR YEARS…
No front runner will drive there for YEARS….
Max will do WEC with Alonso in Aston Martin….
