I saw a video from Onetigris on this chair, and they used it in a way that prompted me to buy it, which I like. The legs will strap to the sides of the frame and you can sit in the chair with just the frame on the ground. This has you only a few inches off the ground. I used this setup in my Nemo Aurora 3 person tent to give me a chair to sit in while in my tent. Just an extra use for the chair.

Ah, that’s a great idea. I have the previous highback version which has worked great, but the ability to use it on the ground or flat surface really upset the game.

I find it easier to get the seat/fabric on when you start with the short poles. Then you have the long poles to flex and put into place and you don't need to pull at the fabric so much. [2c]

The one thing I hardly ever see addressed on camp chairs is the ease of getting up out of the chair. This is an important point for seniors. At 72 I’ve come to rely on a cane or staff to help me up. If either becomes unavailable it’s real difficult to get up. Some of the chairs, but very few, have the sides firm enough to help support the lift. I’ll try this chair based on the trust I have in all of Luke’s reviews.

Good comment, I needed new living room furniture and would go from store to store and just glance around and say "no" nothing high enough for me...67 years old and have arthritis. It took a few stores before I found my couch, chair and recliner. I couldn't get out of that chair. If I was camping I'd need a dining room chair. Car camping

I have had the original Onetigris chair for a couple of years now and I love it! It is surprisingly comfortable and very durable. Putting the seat onto the frame is the one, albeit minor, complaint I have. I learned that putting the back on last is easier due to the additional flex of the longer poles but it's still a challenge. As soon as I saw this I ordered the new version, now I'll have two super comfy chairs for the beach, ballgames or whatever, one of which will be a cinch to set up. Thanks for the great video.

Can confirm, I also have this chair. It's easily the best camping chair I've ever owned, to this day it has not let me down or faulted in any way.
My Dad actually thought it was a military-grade piece of kit because it made his GoOutdoors cheapy special look like an uncomfortable piece of bendy crap 😂
Like all Dad's, he almost had a heart attack when I told him the price of it...but then again...I figure that it's going to last many years to come, so worth it.

I have a Onetigris chair. It's rated for about 330 lbs. It's perfect for fatsos like myself. I've had it for two years now. It's not identical to this one, but it's very stable and comfortable. On soft ground, I put tennis balls on the feet. Great chair. 👌

I bought this chair after TOGR's review...my first camp chair...I love it! And I solved the problem of the little feet sinking in soft ground...with furniture sliders! The little coaster looking disks that you use to slide heavy furniture around on floors...just put them under the legs and bingo! No sinking!

Ordered this Tigerblade on Luke's sayso a month ago. Sitting in it right now. 6' 2" 200 lbs. Bad knees. Very comfortable chair. Easy to assemble. Can even be used with the 4 legs folded away. Bought for kayak camping. Sitting on logs, rocks or sand is fun and all but I like this chair.

I have an older version One Tigris, and as you say in the end the feet did cause a problem, where 2 of the feet were lost in mud that pulled them off. I bought a pack of Robens Soft Ground Feet that fit perfectly over the One Tigris feet and will stay on there with no movement. For the two I lost I just wrapped some duct tape around the bottom of the legs until there was enough to hold the Robens in place, works fine. (Tape thick enough for feet to hold on when placed over it)
I'm sure they will bring out more colour options soon. I have the Real Camo, love it. Definitely recommend people buy this chair, but you will need to buy some shoes for it separately.

Luke, hey, thanks alot! This was super helpful! I did not take my Naturehike chair down after my DAD managed to put it together for me! I was afraid I could NOT put it back together! I love this chair. NOW my sister has been sitting in it, in our living room! She really likes my camp chair and wants one of her own! So now I have a decision to make, get her a Naturehike like mine, or get her a Onetigris! I do however like the anti-sink feet on the Naturehike. Given our soil here in Oregon, being so rainy a lot, our ground needs the kind of feet that are on the naturehike chair--soooo--we just might wind up with a living room full of camp chairs to sit on. LOL WE are very informal around here. Thanks so much Luke. I will be sure to tell others at my church--there is a solution. A different chair! YOU are awesome!
BE well, stay safe! Blessings from Gresham Oregon, Michelle Reed

Cool chair, but I don't know what it's for. 3 lbs and bulky means it's not a backpacking chair. So, if it's only real utility is as a car camping chair, then I'm going to go with a standard camping chair that is much heavier, sturdier, and comfortable. Maybe as something to keep in the car just in case you wind up someplace where you need a chair unexpectedly.

The frame is the exact same one from Moon Lence, even down to the placement of the fasteners that whole the frame together. Only difference is the actual seat has more mesh than the Tigerblade. Looks like the Tigerblade comes in 2 colors (coyote and black), where the Moon Lence comes in 8 different colors. Weight is also just a tad lower at 2.7 pounds. There's about six dollar price difference between the two.

I swear I basically have this same chair, I bought it a year ago branded as Canway. There are two differences; The Canway has adjustable legs, this has side pockets. I'd bet the price of the chair that the fabric part is interchangable.
Good news, it was the same price, and can handle my large frame (6'5" @ 295). The adjustable legs are awesome for the older crowd though, it's easier to get up with shorter front legs.

  • @phasmata3813
    @phasmata3813 Месяц назад +3

Just another Amazon shovelware product that gets multible different brands printed on it before getting shipped out. It's solving a "problem" that doesn't exist. Even if a backpacking chair is a little tough to set up once, it'll only ever be the one time assuming you sit in it and stretch it out. I can put my Alite chair together with two fingers and no struggle. By trying to solve this "problem" they've made a backpacking chair that is too bulky and too heavy for backpacking, so if only car campers are going to use this...they won't and shouldn't because car camping will allow you to use larger, more comfortable options.
I'd love to see Nemo's latest chair reviewed, but TOGR seems to be more and more fixated on Amazon/Temu-outfitted car camping every week.

    • @jean-phil

That chair frame looks EXACTLY like one I picked up from an Amazon auction from MoonLence. Down to where the screws are located that hold it together, and the release button for the center support. The only difference I see is the seat webbing & color. Mine has MUCH more mesh on the sides, and full mesh back, where the Onetigris has more fabric. Looks like the Tigerblade comes in the coyote and black, where mine's green. You can still get them on Amazon, but they aren't much less than the one above (33.98 vs 39.98).

Do people really have a hard time with the typical backpacking chairs? I get it if you are in the market for a new chair you would consider this... But I don't find it such an issue with my typical chair to put the fabric over the frame. Give me the lighter weight over this slight benefit.

why would they go wide legs in front? It's the back that needs them.

I bought this on Amazon for my son. I thought it as buying the same model I bought my wife and myself. Didn't realize it was the brand new model. I found the chair to be pretty stable. It is hard to get back in the bag. I bought the same ground matts I bought for my onetigris chair but they don't fit this chair. Different footprint. All in all still a nice chair.

Chairs are for more for car camping (at least the way I do things) I won''t even bike with one. I would carry a full size at that point.

I want to put in a request for a review of the Appollo Air sleeping pad. It sells for about 100 dollars on Amazon, listed as 5.2 r insulation, and weights about 1 pound. Most of th reviews on Amazon are good.

That's junk with no independent R value rating which means they're lying. The thing even has a significantly smaller pack size and weight than top of the line brand pads using lighter weight materials and having a lower R value, while using some kind of mysterious "E-Last fabric coating" to achieve it's 5.2R claimed rating. It's all lies and Amazon reviews are about as trustworthy as your average politician. There is no miracle fabric coating that can achieve the numbers they're boasting. We know this because if there was it wouldn't be found on some sketchy budget brand for $100. It would be coming from a name brand, from a companies that actually invests in R&D to bring new technology and designs to market, and selling for a mint.

All I can say is that once you start camping WITH a chair? You will never camp withOUT a chair... again. I just have to have one. I am willing to carry that weight. It is must have equipment in my book.

Might try using a sturdy stick, then you can just lay it on the ground when sitting,
