I like the patterns you chose! It is so fascinating to me that I didn't even notice these patterns from your round up when I scrolled through the new releases on Ravelry. I have a similar video on my own RUclips channel but the patterns are competely different.
Love these round up videos! Particularly hearing what you think is interesting and why- you notice things about patterns that I might overlook, which is great! I’ve definitely added mine new things to my wish list/plans! Thank you!!
We really should bring back fitted sweaters! Oversized doesn't flatter everyone. I mostly look floppy with it. That's why I like vintage sweaters and designers like Fabel Knitwear so much. Apart from it being a trend since pretty much the 80's (with some exceptions in the 2000's), oversize doesn't require much knowledge about shaping, so it's pretty beginner friendly and forgiving. I guess that's one reason for it being predominant.
@@Marielm1 hi, I do make an effort to only show patterns that are size inclusive, every pattern in this video has 8-10 sizes except 2, which have 7 sizes. The alva gerensen is tested up to 2 xl and includes 3xl, but she was unable to find testers for it, and I’m sure the hope top is the same. I am running a test knit for my own design and I couldn’t find anyone to test knit 4xl and 5xl! I’m sure it’s better to put out the sizes you could get tested rather than letting people pay for untested sizes just to be size inclusive. I would think most designers would be welcome to grade patterns for someone who is one of those sizes if they are willing to test it for them!

I love Cleome Smiths designs! I have many of her patterns n highly recommend her.
Just FYI - Simone Ryan just released a version of the Cleo top in a smaller gauge. I think its called the Cleo Light.
