i was honestly so moved by cristina's passion. it's so rare to see a popular character on a show like this who's motivation isn't romance or family or love. i mean it is love, but it's love for learning, it's love for a job. it's something that consumes her entire existence but in a way that makes her bloom and shine. they made it seem so terrible that she would trade an actual person for her education but it wasn't that simple. that juxtaposition however, gave it the impact it needed.

Sucks for that other person mind you, but some people in this world have a greater responsibility with the gift's God gave them.
Best scene of season six. I remember sitting down to watch this episode saying "Grey's hasn't had some awesome moments lately. Better have some this episode". I remember being so shocked and awed at this and I phoned my best friend going "AHHHH! EPIC!!" Was introduced to Florence and the Machine at this point as well. Epic song and matches the mood and acting very well. Brilliantly done to say the least.
I think here Meredith’s growth/ development as a doctor is overshadowed by Christina’s. Meredith put patient safety over her friend/relationship with Webber and I think that is the the moment when she became a doctor
Meredith was over shadowed by both Cristina and Derek I started noticing from S6 then it came to S10 when they were fighting Meredith was on it her work research her kids she was doing great then when Derek went to DC we see how Mer is working and thriving.
