BIG RANT TO FOLLOW: I haven't been particularly invested in any of the Owen's storylines (ones that mainly focused on him, not shared - cuz I love Amelia) ever since the veteran project thingie he did with Callie (he did one too, right? cuz I remember Derek did the robotic limbs with her, but he had something about reeintroducing them into society, which is hella ironic with his PTSD & all the anger management & misogyny issues)/their "have I used up all my happy?" scene. Owen's never been particularly interesting on his own, let alone after Cristina left, but he's been a total INFURIATING snoozefest every single episode for the past 4-5 seasons now (and I hate saying this since Kevin is a good actor) & I hate that he dragged/the writers did the character of Teddy with him (and it's not even about karma coming back to bite him in the ass [phrasing this way as to not spoil too much] but her becoming a literal whiny shell of herself, then again it is consistent with the way they've written his relationships, lol - Cristina has had her weak moments & losing focus cuz of him, Amelia...don't even get me started, but they explained it away with a tumor, lol...and now Teddy :/ they even had to drag his own sister into this mess and make him realize he needs therapy, but that didn't stick/is happening off-screen which is just...yikes, okay Mary...). He overstayed his welcome imho and now they're making most of the fandom feel like Teddy did too...all the comments on the web ask for BOTH of them to be written off/killed. If only they did this whole arc like 3 seasons prior without tainting Amelia & then write HIM off & make Teddy return to the fearless warrior badass that she used to be I would've been over the moon...but now with S18 not even being a given I worry that there's not enough time for her to get the proper ending she deserves (and me having to claim the S8 exit as canon in my book, no matter how sad it made me at the time, it was quite organic & fitting for her character) & that she will be stuck in a loveless marriage with Agent Orange instead of being single/with someone else (sadly her & ******** are dunzo in my book even if the writers didn't hint it, they ruined it for me as a viewer even though I loved them together, last week's ep was the last straw even though she didn't mean it) and thriving...like there's only 10 episodes left this season & I don't see them doing a full 180 in a covid-themed season...They had their chance with the cliffhanger when S16 was cut short & they blew it. Maaan, does it pain me for real, Teddy is truly the only character (right there along with Amelia, Bailey & Mer) I deeply care about still. At least no matter what material she gets Kim Raver still acts the hell out of it, so I guess there's my silver lining...but after they announced her return boy were my hopes proven wrong in a very slow & painful manner. I keep waiting for things to get better on the WRITING & characterization front for her (which tbh, considering what we had at the time, the flashback episode last season was a step-up in my book, it humanized her & made more sense than whatever they've been writing for her the two years prior) and am let down every single time...hopefully the upcoming Teddy-centric episode turns things around a bit & lets her get her shit together after getting some perspective...but I'm not very optimistic.
I totally agree!!! I know this comment is so old but I just rewatch it... I just never saw how Owen and Christina should have Chemistry... Maybe the only time when they first hooked up but not more than some pure lust out of Cristinas weakspot for talented guys. But as soon as Teddy came into the picture I was like damn those two I would LOVE together!! And Owen is such an ass to even have followed her to confront her! If he is now loyal to Cristina he had no business going after her instead of following Cristina who was right behind Teddy!!!

She was irresistible to him then like she is now. Glad we got past the "Triangle of Doom", because there was never a choice to make. For Owen it's always Cristina.
