Watched this video years ago. Never got it. I do now. Thanks much Zach. With every DJ software leaning towards stems now, the possibilities of the Remix Decks are endless for anyone who will grasp the concept of this video after 10years
@@SoniaAnastasiaaa Hey u can get the F1 and if budget isn't an issue u can get the S5 or S8 controllers. And the S5 n S8 are specially designed for the operations in the video. Thanks
I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my account password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me.
Ey THANKS!!!! 9 years after, your video still great and so interesting/didactic...the point..just boight de F1 and I still use this traktor version...THANKS AGAIN...and keep up the cool work..best wishes from Bruxelles!!
Thanks for the vid. Keep them coming please they really help. Especially when you can't be bothered to read all the boring info that comes with the F1.
Once again mad zach kills it(in a good way) id love to see more things like this, as much as im missing ean, i like to watch the in the studio with mad zach, but id also like to see maybe a differebt segment, something new with someone we havent seen before, like maybe massive tutorials with someone else you have at the office? Anyways i still love it keep up the good work
nice Mad Zach. For those commands you dont need to buy a MF, you can always bind them to your keyboard. The F1 has some of those functions, but not easy to reach, since you got to trigger a chain of buttons. All in all, with lots of work and some natural flow, some good stuff will come out. Thanks for showing, now its time to get to work :)
Nice video zack! I have a question that is not related to the video but i hope i get a answer! You wrote a few months ago that DJTT interview with Madeon would be next up in the interview series, but i haven't seen it! When will it get uploaded?
I like the trick for shifting the start point. Do you know if there's a way to shift the end point as well, or edit the sample? I've started recording a few one shots to the remix decks but at times it picks up a part of the track at the end. Thanks
hi zach.. i wondering do you capture all that have to the same key? vocal, bass line, and other sound that you or I want to capture and put it into. thanks
Zach i am watching the video over and over again and i still don't understand an few things ..i dont know if its because i use a D2 .. can i have some kind of a private leason with you on this one..?
Superb tutorial.. But I'm stuck at the time keeper... When I drag a sample in the deck B it does not let me loop it correctly .. Or it play once and stop or the loop is too short and changing loop size as no effect... Any idea ?
If you are recording a sample using the loop recorder, how can you preview the result of your recording, without sending it via the main output using dry/wet? I cant seem to find a way to send the output of the dry/wet of the loop recorder to only the headphones. Any ideas or am I missing something? Thanks for the great vid.
Very informative Much better tip to use a click track and set the remix deck as master! Plus dragging the finished remix deck into the folder to save. That is new to me also. As for the sounds you used no one should pay attention to that. The point is to be able to get seemless samples and perfect sync which you demonstrated. Also the loop rec. Keeps all samples keylocked so the remix set is all the same pitch!
hey zack, i have a kontrol f1 here and im trying to capture a sample from the sample deck which is "keyed" and when i capture it with the f1 it stays at the original pitch. Is it possible to capture a pitched sample ? if not, this kind of sucks!! thanks alot if you could confirm this for me please. Great tutorials, thanks!
is it possible to do this with an external mixer? for instance I have the allen heath px5 xone mixer... reason I ask is because when using an external mixer (traktor will only let you use loop recorder in ext mode). any help would be appreciated
Damn, dude. That was impressive, and I actually dig the material you used, unlike most of Ian's videos ;p But yeah, you moved a little too fast for some of us...
Very cool. But I wonder if you can do all these in LIVE? I mean, without any pre-set cue points in a track, it seems to me that its impossible to achieve what you have shown in the video.
You would probably have to pre plan all of the cue points and tracks, but once you mark all the cue points on the tracks beforehand, I assume it will be way easier to navigate to improvise on the spot if you know your music really well.
hey djtechtools, a question about the F1, i have 2 F1's, one is half year old, the other one is about 1,5 year, the older one 'feels' different on the faders, less 'smooth' do you have any information if there was a change in fadrs NI used ? Is there a way to replace them by the same 'smooth' faders i have in the most recent one ?
+sven van bavel hi! check here, i used contact cleaners for serveral years in club mixing boards with great results: prosoundweb.com/article/print/properly_cleaning_faders cheers!
2024 with traktor 4, and this video is still very helpful, thanks
Agreed
Super smooth, the whole video! Almost 10 years later, it's still usefull and inspiring.

What do you use instead of the Midi Fighter? I tried to buy it it's discontinued
@@SoniaAnastasiaaa Hey u can get the F1 and if budget isn't an issue u can get the S5 or S8 controllers. And the S5 n S8 are specially designed for the operations in the video. Thanks
I'm watching this in 2021 and I honestly can't believe this was even going on way back then. O_O. mad zach is on another level and NI is the conduit
I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..?

Is there an Ipad app that can do this with Traktor?
Brilliant video mate, thanks 👌
You have the best video of the f1 by far!
cool you explain!!! Is it possible to run from the keyboard on / off loop's? Mouse is not convenient.
Once again mad zach kills it(in a good way) id love to see more things like this, as much as im missing ean, i like to watch the in the studio with mad zach, but id also like to see maybe a differebt segment, something new with someone we havent seen before, like maybe massive tutorials with someone else you have at the office? ok, now i NEED an F1!!
just aim the F1's capture at "cL" for capture loop :)
How do you extend the loop amount ? I set the size of the loop recorder to 16 but it still only will record 4 beats.
Clear and concise.
awesome equipment
Mad ZACH IS A BEAT BEAST!!!!!
nice Mad Zach.

I think you can set the F1 to capture straight from the loop recorder as well.
Very cool, much appreciated.
Nice video man. Thanks for the sharing your knowledge, it's really appreciate it.
Al

Is it possible to do this live woth no interruprion from deleting the samples from loop recorder and puttin in it in the remix deck?
Thanks
@Macker, try going to your %appdata% folder and clearing that out.
hey zack, i have a kontrol f1 here and im trying to capture a sample from the sample deck which is "keyed" and when i capture it with the f1 it stays at the original pitch. very nice
Very cool, helps a lot!!!! Thanks bro
To turn up the gain on the F1 simply hold shift on the F1 and slide the fader down on the slot that needs to turn up.
You're so helpful!
Damn, dude. That was impressive, and I actually dig the material you used, unlike most of Ian's videos ;p
But yeah, you moved a little too fast for some of us...
Bravo tutorial perfetto
pretty cool dude!
OK cool. Great video!!
Zach, What brand of your headphones??
EXCELENT!
You Are Amazing, Tanks a lot!
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!
HEY ZACH! whats the logos name on your jacket? (been looking it up for hours)
Thanks Man!!

is it possible to use a launch pad s and the F1 together?
what´s the model pad at the left side of you kontrol f1?
hey djtechtools, a question about the F1, i have 2 F1's, one is half year old, the other one is about 1,5 year, the older one 'feels' different on the faders, less 'smooth' do you have any information if there was a change in fadrs NI used ? hi! check here, i used contact cleaners for serveral years in club mixing boards with great results: prosoundweb.com/article/print/properly_cleaning_faders

I guess they (NI) used different faders in the more recent ones.
How did you map the delete loop from recorder on the midi fighter?
