you are a really good 👍 teacher; you don’t assume that we know certain things; you didn’t use a bike rack, you did it like i have to in a tiny apt. thanks man
I have been looking for an easy to understand video about adjusting the chain tension in my fixie and so far this has been the best. Kudos to you and hoping to see some more fixie maintenance videos!
Very helpful man. I've reached boiling point tensioning my chain and aligning my wheel to center. I needed this. But it was extra effort for me since my heavy bike always wants to fall over 😅 subbed
I hear chain noise at the end when you spin the wheel. Is that normal? I just switched my flip-flop hub over to fixed and my chain is making the same noise.
I’m so confused: Mathew says at 6:30 mark that the amount of wobble in the chain is about the minimum you want, and then he says he could tighten it more?!‽ If it’s at the minimum wobble desired then the chain should only be loosened further!

The one part of fixed-gear cycling where it doesn't hurt to be a rocket scientist is setting chain tension.

Yo bro that looks like a massive gear you are pulling, nice work
Thank you for a great video on this!

Very helpful!
Very helpful video - many thanks!
thank you!!!!! xx
very cool
I have a flat on the top of the wheel but not on the bottom. How do I put air in the top of the tyre but not the bottom?
You have to pump upside down

Yeah it's normal
I just find something to wedge in between tire and frame while I hold back breaks and tighten
You can do this, but you run the risk of making the chain too tight, especially if your chain or cog isn't perfectly round.
Use a tennis ball
i’ve tried that method; that screw accessory will take care of that; most shops can accommodate and it’s a big help
I have tensioners and I still can't do it its like the frame has a life of its own.
what rims are those? in terms of brand.
I don't know. They're unbranded and the guy I bought them off can't remember.

I probably just said minimum when I meant maximum.
i once used the 1st test, i really missed my pinky finger 😂
Hahaha
Why the chain is so loud?
maybe its too tight
Oh look it the coach that the kids dont like
.... that sounds horrible
