I've just bought a 1 series 116d I found a reputable garage £160 for stage 1 bringing it to 154bhp or stage 2 plus bringing it to 180bhp for £210 I might just do the stage one to give it new lease of life. Good video 👍🏼
Hello and happy new year i have the same car 118 d with 2 nd stage egr and dpf of and stage 2 remaining from e tuner's the car is more faster and more stronger with 218 ps now so do it .😊
i'm getting mine remapped superchip have a sale on 100 quid off... i got a 123d convertible going from 204 bhp to 254bhp and 387 torque to 479 for just under 300 quid
No not in UK any tampering to dpf or cat will fail n mot. Unless you find some that willing to pass in any way n oay a bit more but those people probably haven't checked the rest of the car either
Got a bmw118d I've got a stage 1 pushing 180bhp put power has dropped to 120 due to dpf being blocked so cars getting a stage 2 with dpf and egr delete air intake might get a intercooler not needed no internals are needed either not going timing chain done so going to get a comfortable map not harsh boost
@@elxggs1237 I currently have a 116d 2L remapped to 184bhp and would love to break the 200 mark. With a gutted dpf, muffler delete, egr delete, better intake and bigger injectors what do you think I’ll be looking at?
Hi mate I'm from ncl recently got a 118d for uni 2007 LCI. RJM remapping is good apparently but never used them. When I bought my car and started driving around I realized it was already remapped alongside a dpf delete and egr. The seller didn't know.
Disagree to an extent about remapping NA engines. I had a e46 330ci Clubsport that I remapped, correct it gained 7 bhp🤣 BUT …. It was a massive improvement over stock with the throttle response, so does feel quite abit quicker. It did take a 3 mpg hit, but for a toy it was well worth it

Cheers :)
lol trying to talk on a subject and o ly nearly understanding the concept and certainly does not have the vocabulary to express the topic properly. Ohh and Stage 2 needs internals, yet they are the same internals as a 23d and they can hold over 250 with the OEM internals.
The video's are getting better and better! Keep em coming bro!🔥🔥🤜🏾👌🏽

Love the video mate !
Great video mate very helpful as I’m new to the diesel scene and the idea of a remap, just about to get a 120D :)
thinking of getting my 120d m sport remapped stage 1, what do you think? its 190bhp now so would be around 240
Did u get it remapped?
Yes. The thing with stage 1 tuning done right like explained in the video is you dont get exactly 240bhp. You get something between maybe 230-250
How mutch hp can get on stage 2 on bmw 118d 2008 it has original 143 hp ?

Definitely worth remapping GKR Performance is the place to go for maps
Good video bro mentioned everything I wanted to know

Would a stage 2, the way you describe, straight pipe and cat deleted etc. Pass mot ? Cheers.
No not in UK any tampering to dpf or cat will fail n mot. Unless you find some that willing to pass in any way n oay a bit more but those people probably haven't checked the rest of the car either
as long as the dpf hasn't been removed of aftermarket pipe it will pass. mine has passed for years like this
Good info

Don't push a 116 bro risky stuff you should make 190bhp it's torque your needing for diesel
@@elxggs1237 already had to get a new exhaust manifold and flexi pipe sorta fell apart after harsh ragging + testing out top speed 147mph 🤣
U done anything recently to the bmw ? Any updates
You don't need a dyno to map a car.... if your talented/educated you can do it on the road. A dyno is a "rolling road"
I think what he means is people who just “flash map” your car without actually driving the car on the road/dyno to fine tune parameters within the map
Hi Mate,
Loving the video's, I have just bought a 63 plate 116d, based up in Newcastle, best place to go to get it remapped?
All the best!

Hey just wondering bro is 120i worth remapping?
You can but you wouldn't get much more power from a NA engine unless you spend alot of money on mods

Think that’s to do with BMW’s having fly by wire throttles rather than cable throttles
