Thank you. My issue was taskbar showing just windows button and search bar and no other icons, and unresponsive, and windows key also not working. Powershell fix did it for me finally. Though it looked like nothing happened, the I shut down pc from power button(coz Alt+F4 also not working) and then at user password window I noticed the restart button and restarted the pc. Finally taskbar is back 👍
The second solution saved my ass. I thought it didn't work but apprently i had to restart my pc first. Thank you so much dude. You've done amazing deeds

Thank you! It turns out I don't have a virus, it was corrupt system files which needed repaired. Something's wrong with my cursor going into scroll mode though, but it's calmed down so that may have been a part of it.
nothing has worked. my issue is when i click on the search icon, the search page takes up half of my screen and when i try click out of it, it doesnt do anything and i have to manually press the "X" at the top right. brand new windows installation as well. WTF

Here's another simple method: Press Ctrl+shift+ESC Task manager will open =>You will find windows explorer in the PROCESSES then right click on it and End Task If you can't find it here. Click on the details, on the same bar as the Processes. Scroll down and find explorer.exe. Right click and end Task. Now force restart the computer You are good to go

To everyone watching this video you have to do ALL of these then turn of your pc fully and i mean like every cablee out of your pc box then plug theem back in your pc in the same places and turn the pc on again it will work

Task manager is easy, ctrl alt delete. Figuring out what to do after that is the hard part lol

I did a funny bug while loading Roblox to see if I could do it consistently, but it always froze the taskbar. This helps with that greatly thanks!

This is way too overkill, press control + shift + escape or open the task manager in any other way, locate explorer, right click, then restart.
