What is it about Japanese airsoft you like, or don't like?
Played airsoft few times in Tokyo. I'm from australia where airsoft is banned and even gel ball is banned in my state. So my airsoft experience was cool even with a rental . Everyone was friendly and even some Japan based American marines were there and let me use their good guns.
I'd love to try open fields as I visit Japan yearly.
I always go into airsoft shops and drool 😂
@@artbydestroy1364its just so crazy to me how ur government can literally spit and cum on you and you aussies will just say oh well thats just how it is like wow are u even a male with testosterone?
What I like?
They call their hits and dont argue about it.
I stopped playing mostly because of that.
As an australian, i like the fact that you actually get to play airsoft in japan
Well it is clear that you haven't played in that many venues in japan... you are taking your bubble and pretending that means that all of a whole country must do the exact same thing... which most people would say is at the very least stereotyping...
Novritsch's concentrated AUSTRIAN STARE is worth the watch alone. The pure disappointed confusion. Love it.
Lmao
You guys must be playing exclusively in cities, because the rural scene in Japan is a completely different beast.
Hahaha 😂
Doubt
@@pablo4yu you have no idea.
At the rural fields I've been to, Gifu, Aichi, Saitama, and Chiba prefectures; half the games are unlimited respawns or at least multiple respawns, only half of the games being one life.
All of them allow full speed movement.
BB weight restrictions are .25 to unrestricted. The power limit is always a thing. It's just Japanese law.
Most of the players take rural games a lot more seriously and go for "realistic" setups.
It's just a an infinitely better experience. Did one indoor Tokyo game and was immediately turned off. Rural is the way to go, outdoor at the very least.
@@TheKiltedGerman can you recommend me some good fields in saitama, chiba and kanagawa?
To everyone who doesn't own a secondary, just remember, Switching to a secondary is always faster than reloading.
so is using your knife...Nice! Your fruit killing skills are remarkable
maybe if like 98% of airsoft secondaries didn't just straight leak gas and maybe get one shot off at best lol get extra mags and get good at swapping. (don't care about the COD joke you were making)
If you don't carry a rubber knife, sell your gear ASAP! If you live in Washington State, run!
Get better at reloading then
To play devils advocate for a minute, the mental effort of realizing you need to reload, deciding not to do so on your primary, mentally switching to your secondary, deciding what to do with your primary, physically switching to your secondary and ensuring it’s ready to go seems a bit more involved than simply reloading the primary you currently have in your hands. I won’t argue that it’s faster, just more work to do so.
also its more like a fun cosplay with the bonus of playing airsoft in the field. saw a group one time in tenkoo all in tuxedo on a normal capture the flag game but they added a twist. One of their friend poses as a president and everyone protects him as they advance. such a friendly and cozy ambience with almost no toxicity.
That’s amazing
This was my experience as well and I enjoyed it much more than in the States.
Awww all the dummies that don't speak the language or understand the culture think that everything is peaches and rainbows... you also probably think that all the japanese love you because they seem nice when they are in front of you... smh
Its very different for the restrictions in Japan compared to Taiwan, In Taiwan everyone runs Marui/GHK GBBR's and the there is no such thing as bb weight limit here people can shoot up to 0.48's but the fps could not go over 100 shooting 0.4 bbs and above.
Interesting
That's like .2J, do they even feel it?
@@peterbaan9671 yeah they feel it
@@peterbaan9671 We measure bb speed with mps, not fps, so he meant 100 mps which is around 330 fps. Where I play at, gbbrs are limited to 140 mps with .2s (2J) and aegs are limited to 130 mps with .2s (1.7J).
oh that makes sense.

Meanwhile over here in Eastern Europe you will get mortar shelled on a casual Sunday game. Running active earphones is pretty much the same as using face mesh - if you want to keep your hearing and teeth intact you better be. 120+ ms is "usually" banned when indoors, but every field/club has their own variation on rules. Also no smokes in buildings, flashbangs and nades are ok.
Also, best airsoft sniper is always the machine gunner.

The thing I love about the Japanese in airsoft or gaming or any sport is they have honor. An don't cheat always respected that.
right!
Gotta love that. 3 huge fields in my metropolitan area, and everyone of them is riddled with people who will never call hits. never. Very discouraging for the sport over all. A good day, with low player count, and honorable players is great day.
15:52 is the perfect point to point out the rubber duck meme. Where the concept of just throwing things at someone will reset their brain enough for you to get some kind of action in.

Damn, maydaysan is one snappy dressed fellow.
Cant speak for Europe so maybe Novritch is right, but TM NGRS AEGS and their GAS rifles are pretty popular here in the UK. The high price tag is a bit of a barrier sure, but I see them regularly at sites I play at. No regrets with my own 416D NGRS.
Anyway, interesting to hear the difference with Airsoft in Japan.

Definitely agree. Marui’s are definitely the gold standard for AEGs here in the UK. Everyone either has one, or wants one. Even with the absurd prices.

Also really surprised of how expensive playing was!
It's crazy how expensive it is to play in fields! Where I play, you don't even pay a 1/4 of the price you would pay to play in Japan.

Haha yup that’s normal. I wonder why
@@MaydaysanAirsoft The Japanese staff says it’s for safe because due to the power limit and barricades lay out most of the battles happen under 20 meters, for indoors even below 10 meters, the full auto simply leads to “over kill” so they just banned it.

@@MaydaysanAirsoft I love the drip.

Explosive Enterprises did a video on BB weight, he basically proved that using anything under 0.3g bbs is pointless unless your gun shoots way below 1J. For anything right around 1J you should be using 0.3 or 0.28.
Well Japan fits the category for that first class haha
@@MaydaysanAirsoft I live in Ireland, our Joule limit is also 1J (328fps with 0.2)
My gas G36C shoots right about 315fps with 0.2, and recently I made the switch to 0.3g bbs, played with them the last two game days. Overall its a much better experience, since the travel is much more consistent, and the BB, while it does leave with a lower velocity, does not slow down nearly as much while travelling through the air, so at mid range it ends up actually hitting the target at the same time as the 0.2g bb. I highly recommend you try it.
15:49
You know what, that's actually a pretty high IQ move that would probably be just as successful in a real gun fight, actually might be more effective in combat zones where grenades are a dime a dozen, you see something about the size of a grenade fly past the corner of your eye and thunk into a wall/tree/piece of cover you're next to you're almost certainly going to have to look to see what it was 90% of the time because you probably weren't able to process what exactly you just saw go past you.
My NGRS Scar H shoots on 65m on 0.25 bbs it has 1.2 J . I changed spring for m90. Pdi 6.01 inner barell and flat hop. Greetings from Poland

@@snappleton exactlyy!! rly wired 😂
dunno
i noticed this too like chris was good man u okay
In italy, its also very particular on how it works, differently from japan for sure, by a lot, but we use similar J limits, in italy Maximum is 0.99J, and most places make you Crono with 0.20g BB's soo if you run heavier BB's its even lower. The reason why its basically set to 0.20 for chrono is to avoid people building replicas set to 0.99J on 0.40g just for them running 0.28g BB's in the end, having in reality higher FPS
Interesting!
That's not how joules work. Heavier BBs will make your FPS (Speed of bb) drop but the energy, the joules, will stay the same. In some guns putting in heavier bbs will actually increase the joules due to more energy from the spring/hpa being transferred into the BB.
I suspect you fields are just going by the bb's FPS, and not really calculating the joules. It's a problem because it lets people cheat the chrono by swapping to heavier bbs.
thats... not how fps and joules work

I play airsoft in the UK, and yes the NGRS are expensive, however a reasnable number of us un the UK do own them and a lot of retailers do sell them. I know patrolbase do not sell them (Novritsch have an assoc. With them), however a lot of other popular, long established retailers do. You do find NGRS in the UK a lot and they sell out very quickly when in stock as do the ZET GBBR, that soeaks for its self. The Novritsch guy is wrong. "the max is .32g for AEG" hell no Chris :D
0.32g is the lower standard on the german fields I play on, going easily up to 0.40g for AEGs and hpa is 0.4g and more. At least on the outside fields.
Haven't bought 0.28g or less in 4 years. I still got some packages from back then but I never use them. Even my sidearm overhops 0.32g on the lowest hop setting so I use 0.36g :D
Ahaha
What is the power limit for German fields? I thought Germany had some semi auto only 0.6J limit
@@AidanMyne nope. Airsoft guns that shoot full auto are only allowed to be < 0.5 J. But semi can go up to 7.5 J by law. It heavily depends on the field you're playing on.
@@TrackStriker That's interesting, so if a field wanted to they could make distinctions between platforms e.g. replica that would use 7.62 irl can run up to 3J, with MED, low cap only. 5.56 up to 1.5J, midcap only, no MED, 1J for the SMG mob?
@@AidanMynewell yeah, but that's nothing new or special on western fields. Most of the time there are simple rules like: Pistols as backups

Man Airsoft really must have changed since I left Japan in 2013. I frequented Chiba and the vast majority of players had kit. If it wasn't a full on impression they had a loose kit I almost never saw just hoodies and pants players. And man I hope you guys are right about elitism because that shit was pretty prevalent back in the day. Not as.bad as in the West but some of the most elitist Airsofters I ever met was in Japan oddly enough. They don't do it to your face though lots of secret internet groups where it happens.
There's big diffs in fields. Sounds like you went to Sabage Park? Which can have more "serious" people who've put a lot into kit.
@@GaosenKinetics nope never went to sabage park. SEALS, Battle City Union, Union Base, Desert Union, Agito. Those were the fields I frequently went to and the Heart Rock events.
yup its changed a bit!
Okay, okay. I'm sure the people behind this ruleset had their reasons, but I just gotta say.
The "SlowQB" discussed in this video sounds like someone scientifically devised the most perfectly efficient way to make a new player never want to play airsoft ever again.
I honestly can't imagine playing more than a day of that. Hell, I wouldn't do it for free.

@@MaydaysanAirsoft Sorry to hear that. As someone who mainly likes airsoft for the movement aspect, I could see myself doing just that.

Novritsch just sitting there and staring when listening is so unsettling lmao
my main issue with Japanese airsoft is most of the time no full auto and you are forced to have your gun shoot no more than .98 j or 325 fps. i dont know why they can't just say 1j. you also can't use hpa or propane and propane accesories/green gas although there are some 300 fps co2 guns and co2 is a far higher pressure than green gas can ever hope to be. its too bad the birth place of this hobby has some major restrictions. I know some fields do allow you to have metal slides and some don't. my guns are a little bit hot but i can probably get away wisth using duster gas and as long as it will still cyle it should be fine and i can get swiss arms 110 psi gas which was designed for japanese guns.
> i dont know why they can't just say 1j
It's a law. 0.989J is a legal limit, and 1J is literally illegal, as in fines/jail time. If your guns are a "little bit hot" over that it's an issue and you'll be lucky to not get police involved.
Using anything propane based (what most/all "green gas" is) also violates a safety law about moving propane between two containers - more intended to stop people from messing up and blowing up a house, but unfortunately also happens to unintentionally end up impacting airsoft since filling a mag technically qualifies. So leave the Swiss Arms at home unless you want potentially another charge against you. That's why there's now co2 versions of guns that are just regulated to not shoot too hot, instead of them doing the same with propane, despite the baseline co2 pressure being higher.
^this
@@GaosenKinetics but isn't 110psi just 134/144a gas. That's what all tm hicapas are meant to run on. Blue gas is basically 134a but some countries banned it because it's a cfc and 144a isn't.
@@darkshock42mlg05 There can be a variety of gas formulations. If you don't know the formula then there's no reason to specially import and use it in Japan, probably spending more money in the end, just to maybe break several laws by shooting hot and using something that could be mostly propane.
Japanese must love the striker as03 then. Its a CQB sniper right out of the box xD
Jesus a "hare's foot" such a great descriptor !
Right?!
In Bulgaria we chrono airsoft replicas with 0.3g BBs... I run my E&L AK74MN on 0.36g BBs when the rules of the particular field/event allows it. Otherwise I run it with 0.3g BBs. As far as I know, many DMR and bolt-action snipers run 0.45-0.48g BBs. What are you lot doing at 0.25?! Gees... And yes, because we are running our replicas hotter, we also have minimal engagement distances according to the muzzle energy of the bb - under and 1.2J - 0m. 1.2-1.7J - 10m. 1.7 to 2.5 - 25m. Above 2.5J - 40m. Thus using a sidearm clocked ~1-1.2J is mandatory, if you are running a hotter replica. Also, when in buildings, due to the extremely short distances, only 1.2J replicas are allowed because of players' safety. We might be a bit rowdy bunch, but at the end of the day, we all want to go back home safe and possibly without injuries (though they tend to happen more often than not).
