I am not a great surfer by any means but am from San Diego, lived in Hawaii for many years and travelled around the world, like 60 countries throughout the Pacific, SE Asia, Bali Indo Africa and lived in Aussie and NZ for 10 years. The years from SD, travel, Aussie and 60 countries spanned from 1965 thru 2005. What Scott says is so true in that ther a still numerous great surf spots that are virtually unfound in the world. Keep looking and enjoy the ocean. It is a great place, perhaps the best.
