Gandhidham Junction railway station (code:- GIMB), located in Gandhidham, Gujarat, India, serves the people residing in Gandhidham and Kandla areas.
Before the formation of Gandhidham BG railway station by Indian Railways, the Cutch State Railway operated 2 ft 6inch narrow-gauge railway line. A train used to run towards Anjar from the port of Tuna. The railway was financed by the Maharao Khengarji Bawa of Cutch. This started way back in 1905.
The railway line was extended from Anjar to Bhuj in 1908.
The rail line from Varshamedi to Bhachau was opened in 1910. The 15 mile rail line from Anjar to Kandla was started in 1930. Another line was laid from Kandla to Disa in North Gujarat in 1950 by the Indian Railways.
Cutch State Railway was merged with the Western Railway on 5 November 1951. The foundation stone of Gandhidham railway station was laid on 7 April 1955. After the gauge conversion of Viramgam-Wankaner-Gandhidham section in the earlier 1980s. the first train from Gandhidham to Mumbai was introduced on 2 October 1984. After the gauge conversion of Gandhidham-Bhuj section in 2001. some of the trains were extended to Bhuj. Gauge conversion of Palanpur-Gandhidham was completed on 24 March 2006. New services were introduced via Palanpur.

Bangalore City Railway Station, officially Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Bengaluru Station, commonly known as KSR Bengaluru Station, Bengaluru City Railway Station or Majestic Railway station (station code: SBC), is the main railway station serving the city of Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It is the busiest railway station in South Western Railway zone of Indian Railways, and is the only station classified under NSG1 category in the zone.
It is located across the Kempegowda Bus Station. The station has 10 platforms and three entrances.
Platforms 1 to 7 connects to the Chennai and Salem railway lines. On platforms 8 to 10, service trains arrive via Yeshwantpur from Hubli-Dharwad. Platforms 1 to 4 terminate at Bangalore. On platforms 5 to 10, service trains depart towards Mysore. There are railway lines between Platforms 4 and 5 that are used as the railway yard. There are 5 railway lines passing from Bangalore City railway station - to Hyderabad via Guntakal, Chennai via Krishnarajapuram, Salem via Dharmapuri, Mysore, Hubli-Dharwad via Tumkur, Birur. The Bangalore-Chennai railway line via Bangalore Cantonment, Bangarpet, is fully electrified and open for traffic. The Bangalore-Mysore line has also been doubled and electrified.

Hi Chinmay, few questions and observations on this train
1. Why diesel loco even though entire stretch is electrified?
2. Train does not seem to enjoy much slack while it's in WR zone and is on time till Vasai
3. First major stn in CR zone and it's delayed by 25-30 mins
4. Way too much slack in BLR zone and it actually completely uses it to be on time.
5. Tumakuri to BLR is hardly 80kms and it's given a slack of nearly 3 hours!!!!
This train runs in different main lines i.e. Gandhidham Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad Mumbai upto Vasai road, Vasai to Kalyan bye passing mumbai entry, Kalyan to Pune mainline , Pune to Miraj main line and finally Miraj to Hubbali YPR mainline. There is small stretch of 40 km unelectrified portion between Belagavi Miraj prompting D loco . Even D loco run from hubbali Miraj will do or any piggyback . Due to shortage of passenger locos and botheration of loco attachment at Pune and also requirement of 130 KM run in ADI Mumbai stretch, EMD is given end to end.
Vasai road to Kalyan is very busy and Kopar loop overbridge also must be taken and trains have waiting of average 1 1/2 hours including TVM Rajdhani in this stretch for bye passing main Mumbai. 3 hours slack time is normal considering this train as sf while Dharwad VB is having slack time of 1 hour and even Kovai VB from Bangalore is running at 55KM average with slack time of 1 hour.
