This series means so much to me. I discovered it while it was still running, binged it and watched the rest of the episodes as they came out. This one of my favorite Game Grumps series. I was in a deep depression in 11th grade 2014 (which is also when I discovered I had depression) where I wasn't smiling, laughing, staying in bed all the time, etc. I was on RUclips all day, mindlessly watching videos. Up until I came across the Zelda Squelitus video and I enjoyed it. At the end Arin mentioned the WW playthrough, and it peaked my interest then I got to watching. On the first episode I was letting out a small chuckle or so, then by the 3 episode I was full on laughing again. I will always be grateful to Danny and Arin...well Game Grumps in general for giving back my smile. ❤
in 2016, my wii u wasn't working for some reason and i couldn't finish this game, so i went to youtube to see if there was a playthrough, making me discover this channel. i've rewatched this series about 6 times as it's a comfort during hard times

To all the lovelies who are new to the channel and/or may have not seen some of the older series' on the channel, the biggest thing this compilation is missing is the rest of the entire playthrough! Wind Waker is my favorite playthrough the guys have finished on the channel; from episode 1 to the very end it was such a funny and great journey to watch. Buttlet's shenanigans, Dan's OCD story and experiences, Arin's sometimes good, most times bad gameplay, all the funny as hell jokes, and a wonderful gem of a Zelda game that everyone should give a shot at playing. I highly recommend anyone who watches this to go and watch the entire playthrough at some point if you haven't already! And if you have already seen it, then what are you waiting for?! Go watch it again!
It's crazy how this was my first game grumps experience. I was a teenager who was struggling a lot with her mental health. And this was the first thing to make me laugh so hard in a long time. I'm a grown adult now and it still is able to make me feel better even after the roughest days. Appreciate you guys!

How THE HELL did you know I JUST finished rewatching the entirety of Wind Waker????? I didn’t even watch the directors cut or anything I watched the whole damn series??? This is like the second or third time this has happened too
For context, I just got BOTW for the switch (got it on Wii U at launch 🥲) and put GG BOTW on while I played, then finished GG BOTW, so have now also watched all of GG Wind Waker, and I have yet to even approach the castle 😩 doing hella side quests tho 😂
This playthrough is everything to me. Fell in love with the grumps when this series was still ongoing and since then I've rewatched it countless times. It's helped me through so many hard times in my life and Dan's OCD story probably had the biggest impact. It eventually lead to me finding out that I also have very real OCD and I just never realized that what I've always experienced my whole life is exactly that. I definitely had misconceptions about what it was to the point where I didnt even consider it a possibility! This will always hold a special place in my heart and since that time to this day I watch grumps every day. You guys are my heroes through and through and everything you do is beyond epic. I will always be grateful for it! ❤

It was a nice break from the horrible middle school life I dealt with and I will always cherish those moments. This was one of the first Zelda games I played growing up and still one of my absolute favourites, the original playthrough they did was one of the first ones I saw from them that helped me get more into their channel so I’m definitely looking forward to watching 3 hours of the adventures of our boi Buttlet
I remember seeing this series way back in 6th grade when it was first coming out. Guilt-tripping Grandma made me laugh so hard it gave me a headache. Now I'm 22 and while I don't binge too much RUclips content anymore, I still have my old favorites, with Daniel and Arnold never ceasing to bring smiles to my face as I get through my day. Mad respect to the people who took it this far, it's incredible to see how 2 guys on a couch playing video games and chatting could become as influential as it has.

It was this series that sold me on Game Grumps. I love it so much. This was the first game I ever completed back on Game cube. Their humor made me laugh and the episode where Danny shared his experience with Mental Illness always hits home for me.

I never leave comments on RUclips but even after growing out of Game Grumps with the years I still think about this series so fondly that I feel I need to share my experience with this series. It legitimately changed my life. Danny’s story and experience of OCD was heartfelt at the time I watched it but didn’t hit me until years later in college when I was coming to the realization that what I considered to be typical anxiety was actually OCD. I found myself legitimately frozen by fears and thoughts that just couldn’t stop. I started googling and when I realized that the description of OCD was like a mirror image of my daily experience. I won’t lie I had a panic attack about it. Realizing you have this very real disorder can be overwhelming. But when I calmed down I actually went back to the one place I clearly remembered hearing about OCD. And it was this play through. I listened to Danny’s experience and felt so completely seen. Those words of knowing the name of your disorder gives you a focal point of which to attack changed my f*cking life. That was my first step towards a long journey of treatment that I’m still working on today. But it all started with this play through that I had watched hundreds of times from when it came out in 2013. Even now when I explain my experience with rumination OCD to people I use Dan’s bike story as a reference because it’s too real to the spiraling of thoughts that come with OCD and how debilitating it feels. Dan I just want to say thank you for sharing your experience and for Arin for listening so openly to his experiences in addition. The wind waker play through will be forever be my favorite one from the grumps.

It was this series that sold me on Game Grumps. I love it so much. This was the first game I ever completed back on Game cube. Their humor made me laugh and the episode where Danny shared his experience with Mental Illness always hits home for me.

Still my favorite series of theirs. This and Mario sunshine are my comfort playthroughs, and I've watched them over and over so many times I can almost recite every joke

This game is such a gem. I really hope it comes to switch. My wife only got into video games and LOZ in the last few years and we haven't had the right equipment to play this or Twilight Princess. I'd love to do a whole playthrough where she plays them and I am watching, ready to help at any point.

I never leave comments on RUclips but even after growing out of Game Grumps with the years I still think about this series so fondly that I feel I need to share my experience with this series. It legitimately changed my life. Danny’s story and experience of OCD was heartfelt at the time I watched it but didn’t hit me until years later in college when I was coming to the realization that what I considered to be typical anxiety was actually OCD. I found myself legitimately frozen by fears and thoughts that just couldn’t stop. I started googling and when I realized that the description of OCD was like a mirror image of my daily experience. I won’t lie I had a panic attack about it. Realizing you have this very real disorder can be overwhelming. But when I calmed down I actually went back to the one place I clearly remembered hearing about OCD. And it was this play through. I listened to Danny’s experience and felt so completely seen. Those words of knowing the name of your disorder gives you a focal point of which to attack changed my f*cking life. That was my first step towards a long journey of treatment that I’m still working on today. But it all started with this play through that I had watched hundreds of times from when it came out in 2013. Even now when I explain my experience with rumination OCD to people I use Dan’s bike story as a reference because it’s too real to the spiraling of thoughts that come with OCD and how debilitating it feels.
Dan I just want to say thank you for sharing your experience and for Arin for listening so openly to his experiences in addition. The wind waker play through will be forever be my favorite one from the grumps.
