PROJECT X gets a Gas Gauge along with oil and temp

- More progress on helping to bring Project X back to the streets and getting it off the cord.
In this video I install classic instruments gauges that include a Fuel gauge , oil pressure and engine coolant temperature.
I also needed to repair some wiring along with turn signal lights.

A car that has had more driveline combinations than you could poke a stick at, & everyone loses their minds like the electric drivetrain was going to stay in it forever! It was like every other combo that’s been in it, to evaluate, compare & then move on to the next !

Glad to see that they put a real engine back in there when they made that into an Ev that was a dark time for that car. I'm all for electric vehicles as long as they're fun to drive but let's leave the classics alone
My Default Rant; What ticked me off the most about the conversions they did on Project X, a 79 blazer and probably others, was that they never intended to to offer it commercially. Neither did Ford when they stuffed a mach-e into an old truck. None of this is about the environment, it's about forcing people to go through cars like they do cell phones.
A blast from the past, I remember reading about the first build of "Project X" when I was a kid and have followed along most all the story's and videos up till now. Damn now I feel old.

When they butchered project X into a EV that was it for me hot rod was officially dead. Thank you for saving project X and making it a real hot rod again hopefully they learned to keep that woke EV crap out of hot rods and got back to real roots. A Big 👍 to you Lucky.
Also, I think that gauge cluster is UGLY. The stock Chevy Dakota set was better

So they put all that effort, cash, and scientificals into the electric conversion, promised the moon, and talked a good game. Then they took it to the track, put down some truly lame times, broke a part or three, and that was the last we ever heard of it in golf cart form. Seems it didn't *quite* live up to expectations, and I imagine there was some company in-fighting as well. A great company learns from their mistakes, and this company ain't no beer manufacturer.

Project X is as old as I am, but in better shape. I remember this car from when I was in my teens. So glad to see the ev atrocity ripped out and returned to Big Block power! Must be great to be able to go cruising in it Lucky.

When will the new season of hrg air
The gas gauge in my 1967 Mercury Cougar shows half a tank even when it's full. I should swap it out but that would mean some downtime. Sooo maybe someday I'll fix it. 6=8.
Could also be the sending unit.
@@mattfarahsmillionmilelexus Nope. The guy who I got the car from had already replaced that and had it checked before he put it in. In the meantime I'll just fill the tank before I go anywhere.
