These old episodes are so refreshing compared to the new stuff. Not knocking the new crew, they all seem like great guys . I just prefer this older format. Feels more wholesome and inviting
Good on ya Roothy, love these old videos! I have most of them on DVD 🤣 I met you at the last mud bulls n music with our 6 week old. you're a top bloke and love your work, old and new 🤙
I still remember when Mum was taking us to school one day, we were in the family 4WD, and we saw you in Milo with Jack at the intersection and we waved at you like mad 🤣 We had a debate for the rest of the day if you were in Bairnsdale to check out Dargo or Hotham
😀hey haven’t seen Allan for some time great to see home again he has the best shorty almost identical to mine ... Here in east Africa we have almost similar weather with lots of big fives ...
Ritchie is my firewood supplier for my place near hotham. He's a legendary bloke. Can spin a spanner, has a serious amount of landcruisers in all sorts of condition. Also a crazy bastard on the wheel, no fear! Ive been lucky enough to go wheeling with him a few times. Sounds like a few creative licences taken with where you met him "just off the Dargo road" 😅 some of these tracks you drove now have private property signs on them by cobungra station; however afaik they are public easements. The bottom section of basalt knob south can get seriously dodgy; off camber, steep as and heavily rocked / rutted. Had some close calls there
Roothy ! Did Alan say 50 cases or 50 ks (kilometres) up the track. The text looks most likely to be right just before 3 minutes 30 seconds into the video ??!! Onya mate !
Too bloody right I did!!! Steve made things easier to take because nothing fazed him but I've never been a fan of trailers in tight places - seems like a total waste.
getting so sick of every 4wd channel, with their camper sponsers taking campers up tracks where they dont belong and destroying tracks just to flog a product.
RIP Robbo and Jack, the bestest stick getter
Rip Steve 🙏 legend of a bloke

Yep the young lads are mostly great blokes doing what they love but their world's a much more commercially driven place than mine used to be. Thanks
Alan Grey .. one of Life's Gentlemen END OF STORY.

I tell you what Allan’s got nerves of steel!
He sure has!!

With the hand shakes I just imagine the cut scenes from Russle Coight

Yep, saw some chains gates and private roads signs on my last trip south - biggest bush in the world and the knobs allow it get locked up.
Awesome.
Be definitely driving that track one day without a trailer 😁
The amazing memories roothy. Great trip with great mates
Great view!
Nice one Roothy.
Used to love Alan Greys segments in 4WD Action.

Not sure on that - I'll ask him!
Good to see you again. Hope your next adventure is with the Mahindra ✌️❤️😎🇵🇭
it's sad to see steve gone but i wonder if you ever thought "damn that trailer"
Too bloody right I did!!! Steve made things easier to take because nothing fazed him but I've never been a fan of trailers in tight places - seems like a total waste.
Need Allan to come up to NQ to give my 80 a going over. He has to be the best in Oz for Toyota's
definitely the most experienced!!!
Hey Roothy, Is there any chance for you to be able to upload 4wd Action issue 113 when you’re in the vic high country with the red Hummer?
Not sure if I’ve got it but if so will do!
Do you reckon Mahindra will let you make a signature series of the 4x4?
I don’t know. They’re very confident in their products but it’s for me to prove that for myself.
País : BRASIL 🇧🇷
Estado : Ceará
Cidade : Fortaleza
hey roothy, will we get some new contet soon?
Hope you are doing good.
is that terrain tamer guy still around?
Alan's not just around he's working hard as usual!
Hey Roothey what happened to the Mahindra
Still trialing it - and currently playing with some mods. It's only got 4000k on it but absolutely loving it so far.
So Roothys ditched the Mahindra ?
No mate, haven't even trialled it properly yet!!
It’s ridiculous towing a stupid trailer on tracks like that
Sponsored and I agree - personally I’d never do it. The worlds changed since then anyway. Good comment.

Yes. They pay the bills and screw up the future. Never wanted more than a swag myself.
