No idea why these started to appear on my recommendations but its a good watch. Nice seeing real folks on youtube with unscripted content, just good old passion and talent.
Welcome! Glad you like what’s being recommended!👍🏻
I know why it was recommended to me, been subbed to Matt's channel for awhile!
Can't beat it hey! It's like we are there working on the jeep with the boys.lol
All that plus it's such a nice break from all the political and riot nonsense going on these days.
Watching these real people doing normal things makes me feel happy and peaceful.

Tim thought y’all were going to make him cook burgers 🤣🤣🤣
4:00
Tim so ready to be crushed if that burger wasn’t ready!
I was relieved that it was!
Dude did NOT look especially thrilled
Tim definitely is a hero, an essential worker with the same look they all have nowadays.
His shirt says “Hindu Kush”
It does ^ 🤩 good eye
Tim looked like he drove 2 hours without waking up.
Clearly the best part is having everyone hanging out at the end of the build great support and passion for all that you do
I can't imagine just looking at a job like this and just knowing what needs done, what a wealth of information you guys have and pretty awesome to watch it all unfold.
Everyone is a beginner once.
6:20 been “screwing” around with cars for 17 years, since I could drive, and you guys just taught me something new.
I’m only about as handy as engine and differential oil changes, so I love these videos. Way beyond my skill level. Love the chemistry between everyone in the shop.
Thanks for watching!
The chemistry between them two and the camera shots are on point in this video. It's hard watching someone replace parts or do an upgrade without losing the attention span to the audience, that was not the case here I enjoyed watching every minute of it. I saw the video of the Ranger bumper build and I am now a subscriber, nice work
I love watching you guys work together. It reminds me of working with my fellow soldiers, laughing and joking around and still getting the job done.
Thanks for your service!
Learned something new today, starting at 5:55 ... Left-handed thread suspension components have a line on each corner of the nut's hexagon. I used to struggle years ago remembering to compare the direction of threads with a scrap right-handed bolt, but now can simply look for these lines, so thanks Paul & Matt. Now hopefully, this'll apply to all Makes / Models and not just this particular Make / Model suspension.
The sheer enjoyment of rebuilding your own 4x4 front end is immeasurable, because racing teaches you ultimately that you will need to do it yourself; if you don't want to be a DNF in the mountains. Great videos, watching the dogs lead makes if even better. Crazy recoveries, old mountain wrecker guys drool on your videos. Nice job bustin' iron on that front-end.
I think most of what you were talking about is Matts vids, but thanks for checking ours out too!👍🏻
Tim to the rescue! He's always a good sport and great support! Since I like his camera work I'm starting to become a fan of him too...
Watching this sure makes me miss being able to do auto and fab work anymore...I have a whole Snap-On box in my garage just sitting now days. Car accident in 1993 and a bad work injury in 2009 have finally caught up with my body. But I sure enjoy watching the two of you guys working together. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I went to watch it this morning right before you pulled it down to edit, nice to see it back so quick!
I enjoy how both you and Matt are jack of all trades lol
Thanks for being patient! We are in no way professional editors.😂
You did fine
@@FabRats thank God! All real is better.
Jamie. The Queen of Patience. What a sweetheart.
Dale Stone the ironic thing about modernity is, 99% of the women I know here in San Francisco would do anything to trade their single professional Xanax fueled lifestyle to hang out in a shop and take a nap mid day while their masculine husband worked on cars with his best friend.
No no that's SHERIFF MATT I cant see him in drag , I already have messed up dreams don't do that to me.
Now where were we (in my gun smoke voice ( HIGH UP ON A RIDGE OR A SANDDUNE SOME IDIOT SOMEWHERE GOT THEIR YUGO STUCK (from the ground looking up out from close up of matt on his horse as old west music plays ) now roll credits....... see I got it all played out . You gotta at least let me do 5 episodes MAN I GOTTA GETVIN TOUCH WITH SHERRIF MATT & his trusty sidekick ED (like festus) please don't kill me ?? ... but I'm serious about this .
@@BikingVikingHH when you say xaxex fueld you really mean meth dont you ?? ... uh huh I know that's true dontcha know. (In my Wisconsin voice) ..lol. dam in funny "!!
@@BikingVikingHH they would do "anything" except go and find one of those guys which would only take about 2 minutes and also giving up any hopes of a posh lifestyle.
William Sealy that’s the problem though, these women don’t respect masculinity and so are uncomfortable in the presence of it, they don’t know what a strong man is so they are threatened by the idea of it. The reason they are threatened is because they themselves lack femininity.
I am glad that you all can work together so well. It looked like a lot of fun. I just wish I understood all that you worked on. But just leave it to the experts!
Came here from Matt's Off Road Recovery, love this channel too. Keep up the great content!
Thanks for watching!!
Are you and Matt brothers? After watching almost all of the Matt's videos, it kind of feels like we part of the team, great job both of you guys ⚒️
This was FUN. It was like watching two electrons in motion. You know they are there but you are never sure where they are at any instant. Great job!
“You need those stickers...it makes you go faster”. Truth, you get at least 20 more HP. Great video!
So typical when we worked on our hot rods 50 years ago. Always problem solving and thinking outside the box, fun times mixed with hard work. Thanks for the memories!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
You guys make a great team. Love watching professionals make tough jobs look easy. Kudos to you both!! Great job men.
Thanks for watching!!
The Chemistry between you two is unparalleled!
Watching you guys work looks like a lot of fun. In my circle of aircraft mechanic friends it's, "What are the engineer specs?", "Plus or minus 5 thousandths", "Who put the 12 point socket in the 8 point socket drawer?", "Has this torque wrench been calibrated?"
It's really great hanging out with you guys for a few minutes of my day. Thanks!
Thanks for hanging out!
Matt during the next recovery:
"Yeah, she's pretty much stock. Just tires and paint."
Watching you two working together is pure entertainment
Great seeing the various projects undertaken and the sharing with the whole family participating, as my parents did and I did with my kids,,, on current 98zj just used a rough country 4" longarm conversion,, nice the way Matt converted his xj from leaf springs to coil longarm on the rear,, with what he does and where he does it light is might and articulation needed
I love all the chatter in the background. It's a family affair, a real sense of community.
I proud of the upgrades your doing,it will pay for its self in the long run. Gotta take care of the bread and butter, almost as important as the ol lady ✌️
"...is it already made?" I felt that one Tim. Lol
I love how they always phone in Tim for those "We forgot the keys, could you drive 5 hours to get them for us?" jobs.
Man, I love these shop work videos! Makes me feel better about my "fumbles" when I'm doin project work myself! Keep up the great work!
I love watching you and Matt work together! 😎
Couple'a guys having good, wholesome fun. Ahh, those were the days.
The man drives two hours to deliver parts and when he's asked if he wants a hamburger, he wants to know if it's already made. ROFL, well done sir, well done
Yah Tim looked super enthusiastic about being there. Haha
@@wescollins7331 the hindu kush shirt says it all
@@420hike I thought I saw that. Had to rewind 5-10x haha couldn’t agree more!
i know Im asking the wrong place but does someone know a method to log back into an instagram account??
I was dumb forgot the account password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
@Cash Alonzo instablaster =)
What a glorious bunch of lovable, talented goofballs!
"I hope it likes its grease 'cause that's all it's getting in it's lifetime" Classic!
I felt that lol
Paul and Matt are a lot of fun to watch work together, not as good as Paul and Ben, but still good. :)
“Is it already made” .. truer words have never been spoken by a man with no more time to spare
Yay Matt nicely done the both of you.😉 stay safe and well and rescue on
Nice video and now I’m really lookig forward to getting the rear end done. Also ,a summary of how the update makes the XJ perform better would be nice. Thanks!
Best content on RUclips! Skilled AF!
Well you want a hamburger while you're here?
Is is already made?
Yeah!
haha so relatable.
Fun Stuff!! Nice to have a lift!! Sucks working off jack stands!!
The first wrecker i drove was a 86 F350 460 gas and a 440 Holmes. Sling only no wheel lift. That truck was awesome for off road recoveries. Without a doubt my favorite wrecker that i drove was a 97 F450 with a twin line aatac long body with the tunnel box that was converted to use vulcan sliders & spoons. Damn i miss that truck. I'd love to see you guys build an off road wrecker and flatbed/rollback.
There's nothing better than good friends..... with a shop....
To take your videos to the next level, give us a legit narration of what you guys are doing. Don’t get me wrong, I love being a fly on the wall and watching you guys work/have fun, but the mechanic in me wants to know what exactly you guys are up to. On the flipside, a lot of people with no mechanical/ machining/hands-on experience watch related channels because of the narration that allows them to experience something they probably will never do in person. Like a ride along. “This Old Tony” is a a great example of such a channel, I’ve never machined anything in my life but I love his videos. Anyways, keep it up! Also, what’s the name of that conical drillbit thing you used to reshape the ball joint sockets? I’m about to buy a jeep and assume will be doing the same thing since it will be high mileage, and I’ve already had a jeep with a death wobble 😓
I would love to live in this family of friends. I can’t wait to watch normal decent people just live a nice life.
They work hard. The treat each other with respect. I want to visit them snd thank them for keeping me Sane through Covid
God bless you all
I'm so glad that he uses a helmet when he welds! LOL Now if we can only get Matt to set a good example by using eye protection!!! This is at least the second video I've seen where he's drilling with no eye protection. The last one had his eyes mere inches from the drill bit!
Good repair guys
What a Great family and friend's, no ugly words, no abuse of our Father's name. How nice is that. Thank you so much. Keep safe. Capetown.
No matter what other mods are done, when that cherry bomb muffler got replaced, it became my favorite mod. There's a special place in... the bottom of a volcano for those things. : )
Way impressive to see Matt and Paul work together. Paul needs gloves like corded mittens, then he can just hang them around his neck for safe keeping.
Paul and Mat are very talented men
Matt and Crew are American hero's
Nothing is ever lost until the wife tells you it is. “Honey have you seen my . . .?”
Gary Stokes yeah, it’s because they always grab our stuff and put them in a place where we can’t find them, not where they belong or supposed to be! 😂🤣😡😩
@@Heeman5 yup
I too have put the axles back in with the grease zerks in the bottom ball joint only to find out it was a no go.
I had the same problem with those grease zerks I didn’t notice until I spun the rotor and heard it hitting the joint. I ground them down a bit to get clearance.
Love this video, So awesome to look back and see how far you all have come
Paul you do some fine custom work
It's crazy to think of what that truck does and what it's been through with what little it really has!
""'WIPING OFF WITH THE WRENCH "" LOL GOOD ONE! NEW MEXICO LOVE!!
What an awesome "Family".
I still can’t get over how good the new exhaust sounds!
Paul, I enjoy watching you and Matt fabricate! It would be fun to come and work with you guys! Unfortunately, my lower back is a wreck, had my second back surgery on May 15th, I cannot work on anything right now, your videos are therapy for me!
Heal fast!
Nice work! And hats off to Tim. That’s true family dedication.
Good Stuff!
Such a relatable experience! I ran into the grease fitting bind as well!!
Keep that Yellow Banana going! We need more Matt fun!
4:28 Chuckler; “sweet-dreams or equivalent” tune played. (Nice touches during editing).
I love the way you guys work together both off road and in the garage. Please use a light when filming with a bright background. I’d like to see the mechanical details.
You guys are so funny together. Get why you're such good mates. :D
Banana ready for inspection - or more work to do ?
Thanks for sharing - 2 times !
Matt finished the rear end so it’s good to go now. 👍🏻
My Dad had joined the UK REME age 14, he fixed military vehicles in WWII. So I grew up working on cars and bikes with him. Nothing is as much fun as taking on major jobs with your Dad and your family if you get the opportunity. Great to watch these guys working together.
You’re right. Nothing beats it! Thanks for watching!
Happy ya got around to uploading this. This vid is awesome! I love watching y'all work. :)
..good one, great repair..
Blue toolbox/ cart=. BEST BOX MONEY CAN BUY!!
Great job guys, and I loved the thumbnail stills at the end. That put a welcome smile on my face.
Thanks for watching!
I love watching the Jeep modification videos and the collaborations with fab rat
Well we love you watching!👍🏻
You two work well together 😊
It will prob go against your fabricating ways... but check out the XJ Steering box brace (goes from one side of the unibody to the other) at ironman4x4fab. My steering feels as responsive as my wife's TJ now.
Good friends, 👍 great team work 👏
Great folks
The ford and the old Jeep be savage saving people
Nothing better than to see a shop that looks like work really happens in there.
most amazing development in tools in the last few years is all that battery stuff, no more air tools
With the hammer action.
It's good to watch some one who now what there ďoing thank you
Wow. Matt and team are good at workshop stuff. Thanks for updating the Jeep.
Watching you with that ball joint press reminded me of the last time i rented an auto zone ball joint press, the internal snap ring that held the bearing and the shaft in was gone so it would fall apart on me every time i tried to get it into position. It felt like it took me 30 minutes to get those ball joints pressed in.
Boy nothing like having 4 supervisors. Good job getting the front rebuilt!

Hahahahaha
Paul’s suffering bringing Matt joy
When I've won the German big bucks lottery and subsequently have relocated to the US Southwest
Fab Rats will build my Tacoma
You don't say?!!?!? When ( not if I win) I will get a bunch of. Military surplus . Plus I would have him upgrade my '92 GMC k2500 diesel...
👹👹👻👻
Love it. Thanks guys.
Same exhaust on my XJ. Sounds perfect and was pretty cheap. Great rumble
Matt is the reason why I want an XJ
So i'm not the only one that has stuff like that happen, thats comforting
I use to say the same thing when I got home with my 99 xj It just sound really good really ...always thought of a itb a air manifold on 4.0 to hear what it sounds like..
Haven’t been here this early before, love the videos and the custom work you have done!
Thanks so much for watching!!
Fab Rats no problem might have to ship my 92 2 door Cherokee sport up to you guys some time for some upgrades haha
So neat. I live a family working with each other. I love it.
Awsome team... All of them!
Good stuff....could watch this all day long....
Thanks for watching!
I been watching both of you for a while now just learned you are friends been thinking about starting my own specialty recovery team keep up the good work guys.
