I say you did. Both are games coming out in February, both highly rated included a few 9's, and both by big publishers. But that's just my opinion. Love your reviews, keep up the great work 👍
Been playing Helldivers 1 before the release of 2. I didn't realize these were the devs that made Magika!! These guys really know how to make a co-op game and I'm now actually more than hyped for what this new game can be. I'll probably buy it, come the 8th, just waiting for more gameplay videos and your video Karak ;)
Also loved Vampyr, will be interested to see how Banishers shakes out. Banishers/Vampyr have a similar look/feel to their characters as the Plague Requiem ones do, and both Don't Nod and Asobo are in France...two's a coincidence? Stellar vid ACG, thanks for keeping us reminded what's what and who's who in Feb!
never played vampyr but was surprised to hear him say it's one of his favorite games. when i looked it got lower user ratings on playstation than the majority of games. i think it was just under 4 stars, which doesn't sound bad but most games on there are over 4 stars.
not that i always agree with the majority. the evil within and watchdogs are 2 of my favorite games, and they both got a ton of hate. i also like dark souls 2 a lot, another game the majority dislikes.
Great to see Ultros leading this list. It looks amazing, and it has a demo dropping in just a few weeks for the Steam Next Fest. If the developers are dropping a demo that close to the release date, it's usually a good sign that they have absolute confidence in their project. It probably goes without saying that Rebirth will be great, and I'm keeping an eye out for Banishers and Helldivers 2.
February is all about Persona 3 Reload and FFVII Rebirth for me. Suicide Squad is a game I'll probably check out at a later date. Everything else on this list looks amazing, though. Banishers seems really unique. That game may get bumped up on my list depending on how good it ends up being.
Getting a few of these. Already picked up Suicide Squad(for at least 2 hrs lol), Pacific Drive, and Banishers. Kinda wrote Helldivers 2 off till you mentioned "weight and inertia" for how the characters move. I love that heavier, animation priority style. Gonna have to check it out now. Ultros looks amazing! Never heard of it before. It's like the offspring of Adventure Time and Scavengers Reign. That's right at the top of the list now :)
Can't wait to see how Hell Divers 2 plays out, first time these devs go from chaotic twinstick in Magica and adding some button combo mayham in Hell divers to now full 3D. And then ofcourse the other one I want to try in feb is Nightinggale, as for FF7 Rebirth I will wait for the PC version.
The fact that you still missed some pretty big releases in February just shows how busy of a gaming month its gonna be. I had not heard of Nightingale or Banishers so thanks for covering them!
its going to be an expensive but hopefully epic month... Helldivers 2, Banishers, Pacific drive and Final fantasy 7. could be one of the best months in gaming history?
I remember having dark forces on my family computer when I was maybe 6 years old. It was the first FPS game I ever played. I remember being terrified of the creatures in the sewage or whatever that junk was.
I am completely burned out on survival games. BUT Nightingale has been on my watchlist since hearing about the studio being formed by ex BioWare devs!!!
Looking forward to Pacific Drive, I hope steering will be better than it looked in your preview. Banishers might be pretty interesting too, though the combat seems a bit run-of-the-mill, but Don't Nod games usually compensate with good story telling.
It’s crazy that no one is mentioning Sons of the Forest v1.0 releasing on 02/22. I bought the early access but have been waiting for the full release to play it. Easily my most anticipated game for Feb

Really hoping Banishers plays well. Suicide Squad is something I'll grab in a summer sale once they patch in the offline mode Ultras looks like a must buy, since I'm all about weird metroidvanias. Not mentioned here, but based on the demo I'm expecting The Inquisitor to be some janky weird fun.
@@ACGreviews yeah I preordered Banishers. I hope it’s not a mistake but transitioning between characters could be awesome or really cheap and corny. Hopefully the combat is smooth and solid.
I know Helldivers 2 wants actual purchases but man it could’ve been such an awesome PS Plus game at launch and bring in huge player counts. The only bad thing about that is people who can’t get it or miss out on it might be less reluctant to buy it since others got it for free.
Great update ACG, thanks! Personally looking forward to Helldivers, Nightingale and SWDF. 😀 Banishers has my intrigued. 🤔 I'll catch FF7 when it comes to PC in however many years time. 😉👍
Helldivers 2 & Pacific Drive all month for me! Nightingale looks super, too, though I'm waffling about just waiting for it to pass through its EA & hit V1. Ultros might make Ubisoft's new Prince of Persia seem more generic than it already is. Ultros oozes such a unique personality. Suicide Squad + Skull & Bones are, both, going to be worthy trainwrecks as bedtime youtube entertainment.
Dark Cells? lol, we're all getting OLD! I'm really looking forward to Pacific Drive. So true, it needs a pet the car button! Can't wait to take buddy out for a drive and our first set of upgrades.
Just a heads-up. If you are getting HellDivers 2 for PS5 then you have to have internet access AND paid playstation plus. Even when playing single player.
Thanks for the recommendation, Karak! Ultros looks effing wild, man. I hadn't heard of that one. Having just wrapped up The Lost Crown, I could dig back into another cool Metroidvania and that one looks unique as hell. Other than that, it's all about FF7 Rebirth. Really looking forward to the next chapter in the remake saga. Will probably check out Banished down the road on a sale.
