A Shinigami is pretty much a superpower bois. They may not do much to kill, but telling you where cameras are hidden and allow for remote communication between users, it seems OP to me.
Again same shit as everyday of week 1- Dn doesn't increase fsiq , strategy and creativity 2- light before rem showed up he had planned as explained in monologs that he had planned how to kill L before even rem showed up 3- L also had high level influence that light didn't had as on normal student and he is not grown up in wammy house he was borned smart 4- ctw also shows that even when L wasn't killed by rem he wouldn't have be able to solve the case again
Here's the thing tho, because of the power Light possessed he also had tons of vulnerability. Be it Misa or the green haired dude, If they didn't interfere with Lights work he would have won easily. People also dosent consider the fact that L had an entire task force where as Light was working basically alone (its not like Light could kill any member of task force as that would draw suspicion). At the end of the day, L is better at deducing and Light is better at management. That's why they have the same IQ. So who you perceive as smarter depends on your definition of smart, I personally think Light was smarter.
But the task force was sometimes misleading too. L had figured out that it was Light many times. It was because of his father who insisted that Light is not Kira. L is smarter than Light. L was just looking for more concrete evidence to prove that Light was guilty to the world. The green haired guy and Misa sometimes helped Light just like how the task force helped L.
light is very capable of making it an advantage rather than a weakness. So no. It was a way bigger advantage than anything L could have. L had to PROVE light was Kira. He was about to multiple times but Light Always got saved by the plot. Ryuk saved him. Ren saved him. I mean. L was smarter most of the time.
L Played a game in which he was totally unaware of rules.
