    I think ABA is amazing. I use to be a TA at an ABA school. If you have the right staff working with your kiddo it can be life changing. I had the same one on one for 5 years and I loved him so much. Nothing made me happier then seeing him succeed and over come goals. You can tell that Griffin has great, kind and caring people working with him. So happy ABA is working so well for you.

    My son used to wear a "safety vest" like that! It helped us so much! For a while he had to have one with a crotch strap because he was an escape artist... you explain thibgs well!!

    Young master Griffin could teach the great Houdini a thing or two about escapology I’m sure! Based on what you have showed of his lessons there it’s doing him so much good he comes across as far more confident and his walking seems to have improved a lot as well. This is only based on your videos but I wish every child hot the school they need rather than being placed in ones that don’t suit their needs. I have dyslexia, dyscalcula and dyspraxia and went through school with no aid other than extra time, then I went back to uni in my late thirties and got the diagnosis and help that gave me both confidence and the ability to show I could do it.
    You are amazing parents for not just accepting but pushing the system to help your children ❤

    ABA can be both good and bad because most good schools are not using only ABA in their curriculum. It really should be something they incorporate and not the only thing happening.
    Just like most public schools pull material from different places. Even public schools can have a socio-emotional learning curriculum or not have that.
    It is even down to the specific therapist, just like a good classroom is run by a good teacher. There can be a mix of quality in the school itself. I did an ABA internship during my education degree and ended up reporting what I saw under the guidance of my supervising professor. The school has all new teachers now and one of my good friends sends her child there. Her child is thriving.
    I think ABA needs more regulations so that parents know what they are getting. Especially since it is the only insurance covered "treatment" for autism for many people.

    • @avamcelroy-re9oj
      @avamcelroy-re9oj 11 дней назад +1

      @nycatlady2314 there are lots of different ways like homeschooling and private school that are a better fit, I would not thrive in a public school I used to go to one and I broke my arm and didn't tell any of my teachers for the whole day

    • @nycatlady2314
      @nycatlady2314 11 дней назад

      @@avamcelroy-re9oj taking more money away from already struggling public schools isn’t an acceptable answer to that problem. Homeschooling doesn’t siphon money from schools. Private schools should be funded by the people who use them.

    • @avamcelroy-re9oj
      @avamcelroy-re9oj 11 дней назад +1

      @nycatlady2314 I don't know where you live, but in my state, private schools (like mine) don't get tax money, so every cent they have is from tuition fundraisers and donations. 💚

    • @nycatlady2314
      @nycatlady2314 11 дней назад +1

      @@avamcelroy-re9oj some states give vouchers to people who want to send their kids to private (including Christian) schools. It takes money from the public school system to cover part of their tuition.

    • @avamcelroy-re9oj
      @avamcelroy-re9oj 11 дней назад +1

      @nycatlady2314 like grants? In my experience, I had to pay full price for private christian middle school but got into high school for free because of the special education services i receive, and that was paid for by the church connected so it really depends but I do agree that if private schools are using the public tax dollars the should be following the curriculum of the district but if they are independently funded they are just fine to have around
