  • 8min mark where I give breakdown of the building
    This my first time building anything like this so all my cuts are not on point by any means but you get the point, no blueprint just what I had in my mind.. This coop was pretty much free to build which is the best part with the price of wood right now. If have comments drop at the bottom THANK YOU!!

    You did a great job. And on the miss cut on the door all you did was add some much-needed ventilation so that’s good.

    Great job! However, I would definitely put different latches on your doors, the latches you have on there are too easy for other critters to open and gain access to your girls.

      Even in Australia, there's no "critters" that can undo simple latches, lol.

      I don't have any critters to worry about the only thing that could is raccoon have never seen them..thanks you I thought about it

    I think it is pretty good, I use shredded cardboard and paper for bedding in my coop

      Thank you I've been using wood chips..speaking of i need clean my coop out lol

      @@2wheelgardener I use the deep litter method in my coop, with 20 hens, and still have not cleaned my coop in over 3 years, just add more cardboard, throw some grain in it now and then to encourage the girls to stir it up

      I've heard about that method ..i was thinking about trying it. But I can'tfigure how get coop totally water proof...I usually throw the old in compost

    I had a hawk flying around for about w weeks, his remains now lay behind my coop so other hawks get the messege

      🤣 do what you gotta do..Lucky my hawks gave up
