Ben I read an article in a medical journal today that they have tested near ultra violet light treatment for tinnitus with some success. Would you be able to look into this for us?
"The price of $287 per month is exorbitant, seemingly exploiting those who are already facing hardships. It is strongly advised to provide a more reasonable and fair offer, as this is the ethical course of action."
I wonder what the costs are behind creating this device, and what their spread is on profit. Since they’re the only ones that make this (which is kinda shocking, all things considered) there’s indeed the possibility of a price gouge, which was made illegal for hearing aids, after decades of people, suffering from hearing loss and unable to afford them. I’m looking forward to the day TRT (tinnitus retraining therapy) is taken seriously by the audiology and legislative communities.
@@Andrew-pp2ql There is no doubt that hearing aids equipped with Bluetooth or other advanced features can be expensive. However, the cost is justified by the benefits they provide. These features allow hearing aid users to connect wirelessly to various devices, making it easier for them to communicate and perform daily tasks. They also enable users to stream music or other audio directly to their hearing aids. The convenience and improved quality of life that these features provide are worth the investment. As for TRT, while it may not work for everyone, some people have reported significant improvements in their tinnitus symptoms after undergoing this therapy. Even though most individuals tend to habituate to their tinnitus over time, there are still those who struggle to cope with the constant noise. That's why treatments like TRT and masking can be useful for those who need them. It's commendable that the audiologist provided free consultations and even offered to help find affordable hearing aids. For individuals who prefer to let their tinnitus naturally habituate, it's important to remember that everyone's experience is different. While some may learn to live with their tinnitus, others may require additional support and treatment. Overall, it's essential to remember that there is no "one size fits all" approach when it comes to tinnitus. It's crucial to work with a professional to determine the best course of action for each individual case. However, it's always great to hear success stories like yours, where natural habituation has worked well, but it's also important to keep up with new research and advancements in tinnitus treatment.
Your videos have been a life saver. 18 mos in now, I am dealing with T without the overwhelming anxiety I had in the early days. Thank you and your staff for helping those who suffer from T.
I got ReSound Hearings Aids/Maskers in approx. July/Aug 2019, and I really like them. I have since moved to another state, so I don't have an audiologist. But I wanted to know how these Widex you are offering compare to my ReSound. I don't use the hearing aid portion & had it shut off b/c it was annoying and I had very slight hearing loss. Mine have the little black speaker that goes into your ear canal (I control how deeply it goes it - not far). What is the difference between the two? I download sounds that help me sleep at night, and I like being able to have the choice. Thanks. Happy Thanksgiving.
Interesting this, as I was offered a specific pair of 'musicians' hearing aids from a company called Amplifone here in the UK back in 2019. Their hearing aids also cancelled out Tinnitus and worked perfectly and were programmable via your pc and apps. The only issue was the huge cost.
Is there any sound that comes close to crickets. I am currently in the process of buying Widex. All these tones that I have to pick are driving me crazy.
Dr. Ben can you please tell me with which device I can use this therapy and how to get this device and this sound therapy system? Please note I dont have any hearing loss. I just need to deal withy tinnitus.

This vid popped up in my feed and my dyslexia kicked in. I saw WINDEX and thought, "What sort of quackery nonsense is this?" Oops. My bad... Maybe I need help for that as well. Thx for what you do, Dr. Ben!
I have the Widex moment still working on correct volume with my audiologist. Mine is Zen tone and its not a loop its random. I still will look into getting with trebble health for TRT .
@@josephrafferty1424 Ya, Widex has yet to be the best devices that exist, let a lone for musicians,.. I have tried so many other hearing aids and I love the widex and hated the other ones, The widex is proven to have the best processing speed and most natural sound quality and has the best dynamic range and frequency bandwith compared to any manufacturer

How much is this device? Also is it comfortable to sleep with it in your ear ?
I put Windex in my ears once...it didn't help my hearing, but my eardrums were streak-free and my floaters disappeared.
This is FUNNY 🤣
I was wondering if I was the only one who read it this way LOL
😂

I can't tell from Widex website, can their hearing aids also do just plain white/pink noise masking?
