I bought this game last week because of you, since then I've fell in love with it, honestly with some mods this games immersion is amazing, especially with the Das Boot music mod, sitting at 220m Depth while enemy Corvettes depth charge you is frightening.

I was a WW2 buff i knew who they were and had a few conversations at a Christmas party about their History in WW2. The development of the targeting computer for Uboats was the main subject.
Yeah it's crazy how different fog acts over water compared to moving over land, i can't remember why. Having good knowledge of the movement of weather & how & when it changes would be highly advantageous to a captain for attack or hiding
havn't seen supplies recently, but i remember in one version that using time compression would cause supply crates to sink. Being in normal speed would slowly float them back up. So after sinking a DD I found a tasty 20x exotic fruit crate next to a 15x cheese and zoomed over to it, only to watch them sink to the sea floor and had to wait some maybe 5mins for them to float up on normal time!
i play uboat as well and love it , love the videos you put out been watching for awhile. I recently purchased sh3 on steam since it was cheap and talked about nicely by the subsim community. I noticed you played with mods I downloaded one but am having problems getting everything to work would you ever think about putting a video out about how to set up the game the way you have? I look on the subsim forum but I do not understand all of the processes of changing the computer aspect ratio , as I have a newer mid to upper shelf computer and my GPU doesn't want to go to the custom aspect ratio. I only ask cause I see you play games that are in a standard ratio and then i see you play sh3. Any help would be nice. Keep up the great videos I always look forward to your next one. Cheeks

I have watched a few of your videos and the main thing I cant seem to understand is the angle on bow and the other gauges in which you don't seem to mess with a whole lot.
Hey Wolfpack. I know this vids a few days old but can you do a full tutorial on how to get sh3 working properly and how to mod it properly? I have it working with arbs resolution fix but it keeps crashing on starting a campaign, and it’s not full screen but idk if I can even get that to work at all.
Watching Wolfpacks sub vids encouraged me to try my own torpedo calculations (I only have the original SH3 and SH4) Just curious...when doing that range finding,are we supposed to take measurement off the front-most mast,or the tallest mast?
Where is the horizontal line of the periscope? You should measure from the point where the horizontal line of the periscope crosses the waterline of the target to the point above that point, that would correspond to the highest mast.
Wolfpack, do you consider Uboat to be a worthy successor/alternative to the best of the Silent Hunter games? What about Cold Steel? I am considering this game but I am new to sub sim games and my play time is limited so any advice on which game is most fun to play would be appreciated. Love your videos, keep them coming.
BTW, why even use torpedoes against the lone unarmed merchants? You can just lay and wait just 50m to the side of their course, and then surface the boat and start peppering them full of shells from an extremely short range
Do anyone know how far from full release the developers are to this game? I have the kickstarter, but dont want to play it until "its done" so I dont loose interest because of bugs etc. And yet, there is that crawing for a good uboat game in my mind.. o_O Help me senpai, you are my only hope! *begs in Leia dress*
So the minimum system specs listed are " Core i3 3.1 GHz or AMD Phenom II X3 2.8 GHz Memory: 6 GB RAM Graphics: GeForce GTX 560 1GB (720p Low)," So it should work on a fairly low end or older PC. However of course you will have a smoother and more graphically pleasing experience if you have a more powerful machine.
I like this game but don't you find it a bit too easy? I mean you can just drop the decoy, dive full speed ahead, do 90 degrees turn and they'll never find you.
You're still using diesels underwater when you could be using batteries for your props. If your wondering why escorts hear you and not sure how, that's probably it.

11:00 how do you do that? Go into freecam mode but keep it following the boat?
