Thank you the info. I appreciate the work it takes in putting it together. The R5C is my next upgrade. Media card choices are a huge consideration. - Mike
Thank you so much! And yea it took me a very long time to do this video but I loved it! I mean I got to spend hours and hours with this camera and I’m sure you will love it just as much as I do!
I have an issue that I cant seem to solve. During video mode, my CFexpress card shows only 5 mins left on recording time. I checked the cfexpress card on the computer and still shows 500GB left on the card. I can always delete it on the computer to make room, but if im on site how can i utilize more of my memory card? I cant seem to find the answer.
Why do your 512gb and 1tb CF Express cards show identical data rates on the card and documentation when the 512gb can't do 8k 60fps? You know, the only reason I purchased the camera?
Can someone please help I have the r5c and can record in 4k 50 fps on my SD card no problem when just my SD card is selected ( 300mb/s hc 2 (10) ) but when i try record onto the sd card as 2nd record option with dual recording rec & sub in the same way ( 50fps it only allows me to shoot in 1920 by 1080 ) while also using my cf express card why would this be happening. I would also even just be happy if I can record on the 2nd card thats the SD card in a lower format like MP4 hevc or MP4 8 bit as a back up but cant get that to work either. I also have a new v60 card i bought, havent opened it yet as not sure if this would help
@@bens395 it will not fail, the chance of an SSD drive failing is very unlikely, you see these are the same SSD drives that are sold inside computers, SSD drives are not like SD cards. SSD drives has it's own motherboard, it does it's own error correcting, SSD drives has read and write cache and the best error correction ECC system anywhere they have to because they are the same drives that hold the computers operating system, they can't fail or your entire computer would fail. Like Windows operating system, writes page files constantly when your computer runs low on memory, if the SSD drive was to fail your computer would corrupt itself and not function. So you see the chances of an SSD drive failing is almost Zero. I have filmed with this system for hundreds of hours of video and never had one video file show up corrupt or not work NEVER..
Hi! Thanks a lot for your work! I was really surprised, that this video has low numbers of views and likes. Perhaps with this video you have looked too far into the future. And there is no mass demand for this information yet. But, in any case, I once again say a huge thank you for this video.
You dont have 2 CFExpress slots, however the R5C does not shot down in video mode when you change cards, so you can quickly put a new one in with just 2-3 seconds of downtime.
Fair. I’m a bit cautious with the “it’ll only take a few seconds to change the media” mindset though, that cost me a couple of shoots in college. Didn’t totally sink the major for me (that was caused by a few other factors), but it didn’t help.
I’ve had no overheating problems myself and in our USA office where we test these to the max, we had no issues either so I hope that helps! Here at Sabrent we are known for our above industry standard when it comes to heat dissipation from our SSDs and drives so this is no different 👍😊
the card does get very hot, however i havent got problems test recording an hour (up to full card) continous 8k 60 RAW LT in an 30*C room. might look different under direct sunlight though.
I can’t say why a Sandisk card wouldn’t work but maybe swap it out for one of our Sabrent CF Express Cards or Sabrent V90 cards 👍 32GB GB is very small for the R5C
A link to the lists you created would be REALLY helpful.
thank you, just got mine R5C and this video put some light on my questions
Glad I could help
What card did you get? And is it working well?
Amazing Video.. I am a "New Canon R5c Owner"...
I can not find that Memory Card List Link you said will be available
You should consider doing a full deep dive on r5c cinema mentioned as only a handful people did one page only not the full list

7:32 thank me later
You would want us to buy both cards. Oops I forgot I have both already. Amazing cards.

I would really like to check out your Sabrent CF Express Type B on my Canon R5C & also do a review video at the same time.

I have the 512GB card and get buffer overload issues even even in 4k 48FPS slo mo... is this a faulty card?
Thank you for this great video - it saved me a lot of time 😃
I don't even bother with the 1tb card any more i use a 4TB card.. This way i get plenty of time with out having to switch out cards.
Yeah but what if that fails ? It's better to have a back up rather than relying one card wouldn't you think ?

Sucks you can't hotswap CFExpress cards, but then, this is a full frame Canon cine camera for under 10 grand.

Great Video - good informations - but that constant scrolling mekes me dizzy.
I am interesting 1tb cfe card
Does it support R5C's
8K 60P RAW LT without overheating problem?
(some cfe cards are stop for overheating)

What's the largest cf card the camera will take
Can i record 8K on my ninja external monitor?
Does this work on the R5C to record 8K 60FPS RAW LT?
Thinking to get the 1TB for 8K recording since I do it a lot recently. Anyone with long term experience and Sabrent 1TB cards?
Excellent review.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I bought and r5c and using a sandisk card and it’s 32gb . And says “invalid operation” do you know why?
I can’t say why a Sandisk card wouldn’t work but maybe swap it out for one of our Sabrent CF Express Cards or Sabrent V90 cards 👍 32GB GB is very small for the R5C
I have the exact same problemm...128 gb sandisk..ivalid operation :/
Could you give a link to the list? Thank you!
It’s coming soon 👍
@@SabrentUSAOfficial Yeah. A link would be nice.
@@SabrentUSAOfficial Any news on the list??
However...Always better to have a Cf 1Tb card 😉
Great video.
Great, as usual . . .
niki
Dose anybody know if this brand works good in the canon R5 ?
Yes, all mode on the R5 work with this card, the R5C is the cinema version of the R5
In a nutshell, buy a CF express card
