I agree. If I were them, I'd put up the full videos as usual, but ALSO put up a shorter one. Then they could get 2 videos out of each gig for the price of 1!
We like them too! Especially for repeat venues. We are surprised though that video metrics tell a different story....our longer format videos perform much better. We are not sure why, but we will continue with the Quick Fix's when it makes sense!
@@thesoundcouple Perhaps it's as simple the title JUST being "Quick Fix #(x)" nobody knows what that means with no context, I can tell you my thought was "oh is this going to be like a tips and tricks video or?" I don't mean to tell you your business, I just want to see you guys have success because you deserve it, keep up the great work!
@@djjazzyjeff1232 Good points....we will think about this a bit. Our goal with these was to keep videos coming with specific topics, especially for repeating venues and keep them shorter. I think we accommodating the regular viewers to keep topic's fresh with familiar bands/venues. We are trying to maintain that balance of new vs. old viewers.
Hello again guys! Ok let's talk Chauvet 4-bar. First I had one go out (post warranty). It was the 12v power supply inside. I simply took an old 12V AC adapter apart, took out the insides and retro-fitted it into the Chauvet 4-bar. Been working fine ever since! Secondly... I got rid of that annoying knob that is used to tighten the 4-bar to the tripod. I took out the parts on the 4-bar associated with the tightening tongue. Then I used a heat gun to heat up a 6" piece of black Schedule 40 1 1/4" PVC pipe and slide it part way onto each tripod. Now when setting up the lights, you just slip the 4-bar onto the top of the tripod and it slips in tight and without the need of the knob screwy thing. One note... there are TWO different sized that Chauvet has been using for the 4-Bars for the stand receivers. Mine worked fine but my friend's 4-bars had a receiver that was smaller and therefore I couldn't do the retro-fit for him. Simply pick up a small piece (even white) of 1 1/4" Sched 40 PVC and see if it slides into the 4-bar. Wow... that was a lot! Sorry! Keep the vids coming!
Thanks for sharing! Our's was still on warranty so we went that route, but the shipping costs are certainly becoming something to consider as to determining whether even warranty work is worth it or trying to fix things yourself.
Great video as usual I have a question I have been follow you guys for a while Because i was hired for a band concert ( if you want to see it is my last video “ jaya concert lawton okc “ ) i saw several videos where some “ sound engineers” recommend to set both subwoofer together and in the center When i was doing the set up for the band i was thinking to set them up as you have under the cabinets but because i didn’t have to much time i set them ups together and in the center as those people recommend I was so nervous but after the concert these musicians congratulated me But my question is Have you ever tried to set up your subwoofers Together and in the center ?
We have for when we need extra low end support and the environment allows for it. We believe there needs to be a balance of what you think is a better sonic choice (arguably) and presenting a clean, safe and professional set up. We would never place subs in the center without regard to presentation and safety regardless on how better we may think it is. Manufacture's build speaker mounts on subs for a reason.
Once again, The Sound Couple illustrates how to excel as production professionals. Thanks for all the great tips.
Thanks Dean! Hope you are having a great summer so far!
As much as i love the longer Videos, these short Videos are really great!

@@thesoundcouple The idea is fantastic it just needs some refinement. Have a great show today (if you’ve got one!) from a fellow Minnesota band guy!

Great job (as always) Bart & Stacy. Loved seeing the drum section, have always seen them setting to the side on others show good to see them played.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello team - short and sweet, but enjoyable. Play hard, be safe and return another day.
Words to live by! Thanks!

Putting those peavey speakers on the truss like they did in the venue scares the hell out of me!
Yes....we get in, we get out and limit our questions!
Thank you for the video.
Thanks for watching!
The sound couple is so stinking cute!
😊🥰
That strange Drum group was interesting but were they the Blue Man Drum Troop or what.
This is one of their signature segments of the night! A crowd favorite for sure!
How do you do your lighting
