When Ben nerdily exclaimed “83!” At the number of toilets available at the Buccees, I had a genuine flashback of ancient Sorted videos where on the screen would flash the hallowed words: “he’s a super geek.”
As a lifelong Corpus Christian and hispanic native, I cannot believe you were in my home town!!!! This is amazing, I hope yall had an amazing time!! I'm screaming!!!!
I’m so glad y’all enjoyed Chacho’s! Corpus Christi native here and so many content creators stop in San Antonio and never get the full flour tortilla experience. If you liked carne asada for breakfast try carne guisada next time it’ll blow you away, my personal picks though are migas a la mexicana or egg and cheese ✌️also the burger from Pete’s chicken and the surf club downtown.
@@daalelli don’t worry it’s super easy to make at home! As long as you have eggs, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños and fresh cilantro/coriander. Oh! And corn tortillas or corn chips(unflavored) in a pinch.
Love Mike's attempt on chilaquiles and completely forgetting the "la" and Jamie making it French by cutting off the end. I think somehow Mike wins😂😂😂 because if he read the whole thing it would have been pretty on point
As a Houston native, the Mexican food in San Antonio is INSANE!! So glad you guys get to experience the food scene across Texas, you guys are going to love it and I can't wait to see the rest!
As a native san antonian I love that y'all were able to show the city!!!! we def get overlooked by larger cities like dallas and houston but it was great to see the love
Just remember if you are not from Texas, it is bigger then it seems. Dallas to Austin 3 hours, Dallas to Houston 3 hours. There is a drive from city to city. Also with so much to eat in all of these cities it might take a few days to eat all of it.
Three minutes in, and you guys are so freaking precious. Looking forward to tagging along via video on this leg of your journey! Edit: Oh mi gosh, Jamie made my favorite topping combo on his half of the pizza! Jamie is now officially my favorite now.
As someone who lives in New Mexico, watching you try all these iconic Mexican dishes put a smile on my face. Y'all need to come out and try some NM green chile! :)
Was thinking the same thing as a New Mexican! They definitely need to come in the fall for chile season and Balloon Fiesta. There’s so much variety in food for a relatively small state-amazing Mexican/New Mexican food, fry bread/Navajo tacos, the Vietnamese food in ABQ…they’d have so many things to try!
As someone born and raised in Dallas, and currently living in Houston, this fills me with great pride :) Can't wait to see what else y'all got up to while here!
As someone who lives in San Antonio, I immensely enjoyed this video. Equally disappointed that I didn’t run into y’all though. This is a great city with so much to do and explore. I hope y’all had a great time here.
Y’all were so close to so many other fantastic restaurants. I hope you spent more time around The Pearl. Best Quality Daughter and Brasserie Mon Chou Chou to start with. Great job showing the city though.
Guys! Got the privilage of going to texas last year! My asbolute favorite food in there was the brisket! Hope you get to enjoy such an experience soon!
Amazing video bois. Packed with fun start to finish. Felt more like a high production value reality TV show starring all my best friends than a youtube video. I’m a fairly new viewer, but you have me hooked with the ingenuity and genuine joy you bring every day. Thanks lads.
As a Texas gal I enjoyed watching you boys hit some of the vacation food spots in town my family likes to go to when visiting San Antonio. Hope you enjoyed the historical aspect that San Antonio is known for. Can’t wait for the next video and see what Texas shenanigans you all get into 😂 A+ to your team for planning!
Absolutely brilliant. That was a jam packed, full throttle video which on TV would have been a watered down to make a whole series. San Antonio looks amazing and has just make it on to my list of places to visit.
Love that you visited Bucky's! I remember my first visit. Also, that coffee mug was huge! Definitely how I like my mugs - the ability to fit a whole pot of coffee
I love it so much when these boys start travelling again. I throughly enjoyed their previous videos, it was a bit sad that the pandemic put a short stop to it. And now they are back in the international food game, 🎉🎉🎉
Glad y’all had a great time here!! Can’t wait for the next vids!! I still challenge y’all to come to the Texas star fair to try all the food! It happens every sept-oct.
just when I thought this format couldn't get better you guys have one-upped yourselves with this episode. Absolutely love your food travel videos and I can't wait for more!
I’m so excited for this series! It’s always a treat to see the guys go new places and try stuff. I’m really glad that that concha was so nice. They can dry out so quickly, especially when they’re big. By the way, concha does mean shell, but specifically seashell, at least in Mexican Spanish. Shell like in eggshell is cascaron. It’s hard to hear them try to pronounce anything in any language other than English.
Loved seeing y'all minds get blown by the Buc-ee's! It's been a road trip staple for me for years. No idea when this was filmed, but I wish y'all could have hit up the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo or Texas Renaissance Festival, one of the largest in the country. Great food at both (a lot of it deep fried, but not all!)
Y'all! This is awesome and one of my favorite videos! Right back to one of my homes. I haven't seen San Antonio in about 15 years, so it was incredibly nice to see it again
Dude! I grew up in San Antonio, I'm so happy the boys were able to visit and visiting El marcado(what locals call the market distric near the river walk with the walk ways and street flags over head) was definitely the right way to start things off. Yall are making me home sick already how am i gonna last a whole series 😂
As a Texas native that has had the privilege of experiencing most of what it has to offer. 1st Casa Rio was the first time i hade pollo verde enchiladas. That was almost 30 years ago. I thought that they were my favorite, but every time I ordered them I was disappointed. At the age of 47 I moved back to Texas and was able to revisit the Riverwalk. That first bite brought me right back to 18 and the joy of experiencing such a celebration of flavors. Don’t even get me started on other areas and the amazing food served up. The fact that there was no mention of a bean and cheese taco, the best ever, made me sad. But also the extreme food diversity that SAT has to offer along with her sister cities.
My favourite videos are when you’re travelling and getting right into the culture of the area as well as some amazing looking food on show. A food travel series with hour long episodes would make me so happy 😃
Every day, I become more and more amused by the SORTED boys' journey to SORTED Dads.
Are you a dad too?
From SORTED lads to SORTED dads 😂
It's the daddening
@@SortedFood I prefer to refer to you guys as daddies.
As a perpetual Aunt, I love that Ebbers has maintained the Uncle-ness; he's perfect for that job!!
When Ben nerdily exclaimed “83!” At the number of toilets available at the Buccees, I had a genuine flashback of ancient Sorted videos where on the screen would flash the hallowed words: “he’s a super geek.”
🎵Super geek, he's super geeky!🎶
I think we can let Mike's chilaquiles and Ben's esquite pronunciation slide with how deep a dive they did into Mexican food 🤣🤣🤣
God help them!
was a little cringy!! I promise you, we're not all like this in London!! hahaha I kid I kid, we love them
I did laugh, google translate boys 😂
Can we though?
I braced myself as soon as I saw the list lol!

Former Corpus Christian here...is Boat N net still around?? 🤣🤣
@@Curtis_E_Violation I’m sorry to say no…
I got to have migas 1 time, and then the restaurant closed. It was phenomenal, and I'm so sad.

"I went to town on those tortillas. I think I'm in trouble."
Truer and more relatable words were never spoken, Mike, lol.
Oh boy, back in America! Jamie and Mike together is always a recipe for mayhem!
You know it!

Back in the USA. America goes from Argentina to Canada....😢
These travel episodes are peak entertainment and just make my mouth water all while provoking wanderlust in serious waves !! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not sure which part of that I liked best...Barry smelling the tortilla or Ben's absolute glee over the stats at a service station. ❤️
This has to be the best RUclips channel. Watching this channel evolve from 13 years ago until now u guys should be proud 👏
This is gonna be EPIC. the US trips never dissapoint

I adore the mispronunciation of chilaquiles hahaha
Glad this was the first comment I saw
They always default to French like with pronouncing chamoy with a sh sound 😂
I rewound the video to make sure I heard Jamie right 😆
😂 I struggled to not comment on that!
oh dear, oh dear, this is going to be an exciting fun series! cant wait to watch it all 🥳
Yay, thank you!
This felt like an old "lost and hungry tour" vlog! Thank you so much for sharing your journey once again and here's hoping for more on the horizon! :D
As a Houston native, the Mexican food in San Antonio is INSANE!! So glad you guys get to experience the food scene across Texas, you guys are going to love it and I can't wait to see the rest!
Exactly. Never found anything in Houston that matched SA’s traditional Mexican nor Austin’s fusion and she’d inspired Tex Mex.
Production value is through the roof guys! Better than most food network shows!
Love seeing the boys in my home state/city, eating all the foods I know and love!!!!
The cinematography on these recent travel videos have been amazing!!!!!
Lmao Jamie walking around with the BEST thing you can get at Buc-cees is feeding my soul
Oh, I love travel episodes! Can't wait to see more. (And it really was more Jamie's fault than Barry's that their team lost...)
More to come :)

What a great treat for a Sunday night 👍 sitting in the garden, cold beer and a pizza! Well done guys, this was a superb episode kudos ! ❤
Hearing English blokes pronounce Mexican dishes makes me feel so much better about my bad pronunciations.😂
Big bake off energy
As a native san antonian I love that y'all were able to show the city!!!! we def get overlooked by larger cities like dallas and houston but it was great to see the love
30 seconds in and I can already tell this video is going to do 2 things. 1- make me very hungry and 2- make me want to go to Texas!

Just wanna say, I appreciate these travel videos a lot more when they are completely untethered from the home studio. Makes them feel more special
double trouble putting Baz and Spaff in a team and I love it 😆
What’s crazy about Big Lou’s is that the giant pizza really is delicious. You figure the size would make the flavor suffer, but it’s so good.
Thanks guys. It looks like you all had an amazing time. Makes me want to go. Looking forward to the next adventure
