I’ve had nothing but trouble with the remotes from Visio‘s TV. The first one out of the box didn’t work at all and the second one that they sent me I dropped once and now no longer works. But I appreciate watching your video because I did not know double tapping the input button on the TV changes that input. So I was able to get to my cable and at least watch regular TV which I do have a remote for. Vizio is sending me out a new remote, but I just saw your video on the universal remote and I might just swap to that and see if it works. Because SERIOUSLY VIZIO, I only dropped out once and I wasn’t even that hard. 🙄

Solution: 1. connect Ethernet cable, 2. Reset tv (hold volume down & input for 10 seconds) you will then be on factory language selection screen, 3. On language selection screen hold input & volume up for 10 seconds, it’ll take you to HDMI 1 and show “Ethernet” in upper right hand corner of screen 4. @@josephmilligan8370 you have to factory reset the tv then download remote to your phone the keyboard will only allow you to get the option going to connect the WiFi to the tv so you can use the remote control app on your phone for everything else like changing channels, volume, input, additional apps like Netflix or whatever the tv has. If it allows you to change though just a few options with the keyboard then your good you just need to factory reset the tv then get the app on your phone so you can do everything else you may need.

I still have to pay Wi-Fi over there and I get brand new Wi-Fi and a week later Xfinity wants $100 since when do they want $100 after a week of putting the equipment in? And then can’t find the damn Wi-Fi?why can’t TV find it? Smart TV? I don’t think it’s that smart.
for those that find the keyboard is not working, press one of the volume keys on your keyboard and then press a directional key, I found that I had to press a volume key and then use a directional key or enter, to actually be able to use it with my tv. It is annoying but the only way I found it to work😭 Hope this helps!
If your having complications because you want to play your game just power on your game and the tv and press the input button and connect the game to your Wi-Fi 👌
You are going to have to do a factory reset pressing the volume down and input button at the same time do so until it give you a notification and then do what it says but holding the imput button for 10 seconds, after that your TV will start as new and you need to download the vizio app and set up, to connect to the TV the best place your phone or tablet next to the vizio logo and follow the set up instructions as given to you and you will be able to connect to the new internet
So anyone figure this out yet? I don’t have the remote & I don’t have an Ethernet cord. I can’t remember the last time I even seen one of those. Anyone figure it out let me download the app but can’t use it because I can’t get to the tv menu. To connect to the WiFi to connect the app to the tv. Find a different remote. Any remote. Hold down SETUP until light turns red on remote > Type 5561 > use arrow keys first. BOOM problem solved. If you use power button first then you’ll just have to repeat the steps and the only thing you can use is that very button... which is useless. Cheers.

But the original remote nor the universal remote I purchased is connecting. Also downloaded the report to my phone but the TV can't connect to the internet without the remote smh 🤦🏿♂️
