In most cases when a pastor is the husband of a deceased loved one, another pastor will officiate at the funeral or memorial service. This was only one of many odd things with this man. Raise her from the dead??? And I agree he is always very performative.

Gavin, something that has really bothered me from the first time I heard him say it, was when he told his church the first time, that Mica's death "self-induced". That upsets me so much! Induced means like when a woman has her labor induced when she is having a baby. He should have said self-inflicted! Am I right?

Here's the thing. She was cremated, so there wouldn't be any embalming. The body starts to decay soon as the heart stops. Think about that. And all he would have to do is ask for "a few minutes alone" with her and they would grant it. "I lay down with her body 4 times". And did WHAT?

How?! Not even remotely close! Chris Watts was an introvert and had zero history of abusing ex’s or anyone in his family, unlike JPM. In fact, if you watch the 500 million videos of SW videos, especially the Christmas one where CW dressed up as Santa. SW was emasculating him all the time. CW met someone who made him feel like a man, and he snapped and it’s sick and he’s right where he should be. But he and JPM are nothing alike.

This has been stuck in my mind all day. A large part of me believes JP isn't a very intelligent person, and despite his supposed ''charm" and success, I'm not seeing it.. but he's obviously got some skills to powerfully manipulate and attract/maintain a following. I just can't figure out what it is but reflecting on the entire eulogy, there's one strong and consistent theme behind each little goofy story - he's painting her as a chaotic, unpredictable, impulsive, obsessive/perfectionistic, risk taking, etc sort of person. He smiles and laughs like they were lovable, unique quirks that others would find endearing the way he spins it - but he knows what he's doing. Each story/memory is a tool to feed his narrative of her being mentally unstable and capable of ending her own life for seemingly no reason. That's dark. His delivery is so clumsy and fake, which probably helps his loyal followers see him as a harmless victim in all this.

One of the most realistic, as well as unfortunate & unsettling things is that, Mica's poor life is being scrutinized for the whole world to dig through.
We may talk about knowing someone or hearing about someone who took their life. But being able to hear & see all of the things that Mica had to deal with & go through up until her death, is very eye opening.
We never really get many details of a person's life before they take their own. It's usually cased closed, due to it being that they did it themselves. You know what I mean?
I just have to say, that I really give credit to Mica's family for sharing the struggles she had, with the abuse & all of the things she had to go through. I think it can really put into perspective, what a lot of people may go through & why they choose to do what Mica did. As sad as it is.
I can not even begin to imagine how disheartening it is to see their daughter's abuser having such a spotlight on him, to be able to talk about her in the way he has. It really is a lot to take in. He is in a whole other bracket of people that I don't even know what to call it. On a whole other level.
All that to say, that I am really hoping that Mica's family can receive justice for her, in whatever way they seem fit. Hopefully, with all of the the unbelievable stuff she had to go through before, & with some of it being documented, can help change laws. As in, if someone abused a person prior to them taking their life, they would be found liable or responsible for causing so much distress & harm.
I say all of this with nothing but care & respect for Mica & her family. I hope that they can change the world, so that Mica's death in not in vain. I believe it's already happening due to how many people who are talking about her. & most of all, all of her friends & family are in my thoughts & prayers. & I'm sending all of my love!
I hope they.have video footage of what he did when he laid with Mica 4 times after she passed. He is cringy and psychotic!

I’ve heard many Southern Baptist pastors who are very adept at using the emotion in their voice for affect. Their voice trembles and cracks as if they are about to cry while delivering the key points of their sermon, especially prior to or during an “alter call”. I’m sure he’s well versed in this same technique. This whole eulogy is in bad taste. Regardless of whether or not he is the “next of kin”, knowing they were separated and divorcing, he should have allowed her actual family to arrange her eulogy and lay her to rest. This is just his way of controlling her one last time.

I cannot understand how someone could be so in love almost obsessed with their spouse and then have zero respect, care and love to cheat whilst being separated and then doesn’t even seem shattered after being married for so long. After what he did to her, how does he feel so entitled to have taken custody over her body, how she should be laid to rest or to be remembered. This is so bizarre, that he wanted to control her and everything even in her passing. Pray that their civil law suit will bring some justice because it’s obvious that he is the unstable abuser that led to her declining mental health. She was fine before him!

JP walking in, head down, broken up voice, stumbling over words, pacing, and thinking that we need to be told that he's finding it hard to start this despite years of speaking (saying it with a little chuckle), the fidgeting with his head.. I'm SECONDS into this and without knowing much backstory, this guy looks like he's putting on a real act. I hate to mention Chris Watts but that's who he's reminding me of (when Watts was watching the neighbours CCTV).
Think about how many grieving people have had to speak publicly, in true crime cases where they've lost a loved one, or speakers you've seen do genuine eulogies. This guy behaves so differently.

GF; we know that this pastor was a good cult leader and his church members were good followers and did what he asked and did not question the absurdity of his asks. He even got members to follow Mica and report back to him.
Now what if, he had someone who sounded very familiar to Mica to make the 911 call and someone else was with her and either forced her to shoot herself or they did it to make it look like Mica did it to herself? As far as her purchasing the gun; again depending on the threats made to her, she may have done it all under duress? Mica was a true believer in Christ and I know she struggled with some mental illness, but most of it was illness of being married to an evil psychopath.

If anyone else had said that while grieving, it wouldn't come across so bizarrely (we wish so many things when we're mourning - heck, when my 10 yr old bunny passed away, I had him snuggled up in his blankets 'sleeping' beside me that night and I kept waking up, hoping that if I warmed him up enough he would come back). But 'raising her from the dead' sounds more God-complex-y than a man pleading with God to bring back his wife.

Lookup the police department in Robeson County. They don't have a good track record. And JPs lawyer has 200 acres of land that backs up to that river... think about it... I thought they got it right, but then I heard her Daddy's suspicions A Daddy and Mama who are part of their child's blood has intuitions and it is very likely that Mica did not do this to her self. 😢❤🙏

Completely disagree with you. I believe she bought the gun for protection. He or whoever tracked her down. I think she was forced to make that call. Her cadence was a lot slower. I believe she was threatened to make that call and she knew she was going to die but hoped the police could trace before it happened.

After this tragic death and a similar one in my local community I have to ask; can someone be driven to suicide? How should the community deal with self inflicted deaths that had an aspect of noted abuse if no charges can be brought? These kind of instances are very difficult for me to wrap my mind around.

With a divorce, however acrimonious. on the horizon, the timing of a decision by this apparently lovely & horribly abused woman to end her life, somewhat confuses me.
Perhaps fears for her long-term personal safety from such a narcissistic and obsessive estranged husband were still just too overwhelming to face a future lived in fear, but I would have thought this finally to have been the time for her to begin seeing a gradual liberation from this horrible relationship?
Furthermore, with his alleged propensity, as has been suggested in several articles, for involvements with underage girls & very young women, might she not have soon found herself in the same position as JP;s 1st wife when his interest focused on someone new to groom?
I'm not sure how old his children are, but what a dreadful example to have played a major role in their formative years.
I do hope they will be able to flourish despite the dark influence their father may have had on the entire household.

The whole speech was practiced. But a narssisst really cannot speak out from the bottom of the heart.
