@@roxycreations679 How about cutting the window before you glue the pocket papers together. Then you can sandwich the acetate within the pocket. Love this project BTW :D
It would be if you are able to cut your acetate perfectly to make sure it's all stuck down otherwise what ever you put in will continually catch on it.
Sorry it posted before I was finished 🤣 I have to put the tape/glue on the frame as I always mess up the window, no matter how careful I am 🥴 Such a great pocket ❣️ thanks
Movers tomorrow morning and on our way to the new home. Omg I have so much paper and craft items. I’ll be watching when I can on my phone. You know the drill. You have kept me sane thru this ordeal. 🙏 thank you.
I've done something like this. When I glue down the acetate I use a soft cloth and wipe from the center of the window to the outside edge. Keeps the glue from squishing towards the window. Of course, you do yours a lot faster than I do mine but I don't mind working slow and enjoying the process. I don't think I could work well with the pressure of doing it quickly for a video. Kudos to those of you who can. TSF Hope you have a good day. 🌞
Great idea. I love the 100 day projects. Just like the 52 week challenge, it gives me a chance to build a supple of great ephemera for my journals. Thanks for sharing the ideas. 😊
Loved this little pocket. You were wacky funny today...i enjoyed watching your battles with the glue. Also...your small die cutter seemed to be a handy tool to have. Thanks for sharing. Linda
Oooh... Sweet Rachel... You could have applied the double-sided tape unto the pocket first then place the acetate on top... I have found that I prefer the 1/4" size DS tape. Your banter is so enjoyable to listen too. XX You make me giggle
I put the tape around the surface not on the acetate, I run my thumb nail over end of white covered tape, then it will lift up, then put the clear over it! It just takes time to learn the technique! It really is easy once you do it this way!😊 hope this helps !
Is there a reason the acetate is just a little bigger than the window? I would put the tape on the edge of the pocket, put a piece of acetate down and then trim off the excess acetate. I would think it would be beneficial to have the entire back of the pocket covered with the acetate because then nothing would get caught on the edge of the acetate.
I like these! Turned out great! Is the die cutter hard to turn? I haven't bought one as I have bad rheumatoid arthritis and some days hand are pretty weak. TFS!
You use glue stick with abandon. I have tried several different brands and they never stick! Is there a secret to putting it on so it sticks permanently?
Rachel try putting the double-sided tape on the paper frame and apply the plastic on the frame. Should be a lot easier.
I thouight about that but i wanted to make sure the tape weas right to the edge of the acetate otherwise things will catch on it.

I think it would be easier to put the tape around the window on the book page, then place the acetate over the window on top of the sticky tape?????
It would be if you are able to cut your acetate perfectly to make sure it's all stuck down otherwise what ever you put in will continually catch on it.
Try putting the tape on the bookpage.
I thought about that but I was concerned I would have overhanging acetate that would catch on whatever I was trying to put in.
@@roxycreations679 I would have lined up the top edge carefully. The glue worked so it’s all fine.
At first glance I thought, "Finally, someone came up with an outstanding idea for windowed envelopes!" But you made the windows! Clever you.
Thanks so much 😊
Awesome idea 🥰 gives me a reason to get out my thinlits. Thank you Rachel 😘
Thank you so much!
I love these! Crazy me, never thought about using a dyecut!

I love your little pockets--wouldn't some tiny dried bits of flowers or petals look cute behind those:)))

Hello Rachel, thanks for sharing how you made these very pretty pockets with windows.

Hello Sherry
I have missed your funny comments to Rachel, I would gasp and then laugh out loud☺️
Best wishes sent for your house move, keep safe🦋
Ever so beautiful. I am happy putting the double sided tape on the paper then adding the layer of acetate.
Thanks so much 😊
Rachel, the 1/8th inch width double sided tape makes this easy-peasy These are very pretty though, worth the stress! 😀
I couldn't find mine, lol! Thank you so much!
I really like these pockets Rachel!
Thanks so much 😊
So many good ideas, Rachel. Looks like tape has too many variables to suit me. Smiles, Carol xo

These are awesome. I don’t do well with double sided tape. I always mess things up when I try and use tape. Thanks for sharing 😍💕🌴
Thanks so much! 😊
Revisit 2024🎉
❤️great idea
Thank you! 😊
These are so lovely! 😃❤️
Thank you! 😊
And...I decided to use the piece cut out from the window looked smart on the book page, as part of the collage.
No die cutter, but I can totally cut the little window out with a ruler & blade.
🤷🏻♀️🤣👏🏼👏🏼
Fun! You can try using regular tape too, it will cover up the top edge of the acetate so your tag doesn't get hung up on it.
That's a good idea!

That would be ok if you are then sewing on your pocket. If not I would worry the glue wouldn't hold it.
@@roxycreations679 You’re right, of course - I wasn’t thinking about how the entire pocket would be attached.

@@roxycreations679 thank you for taking the time to reply! Have a great day!
❤️❤️
Could you give me the link to where you start the 100 days? What is this project?
Yes please, Roxy. I keep seeing it all over the collage channels, too!
Yes I would love that video too
I have everything in a playlist for 2022 where you can watch from Day 1
Carmen Chiapa has the right idea
Why not use regular tape? It won't show anyway? I would try that. 😄
Yes i think that's a great idea!
🥰❤️🥰

Maybe you could try putting the double sided tape on your project, than place your acetate on..🤷♀️
I thought about that but I was concerned I would have overhanging acetate that would catch on whatever I was trying to put in.

I like the Pritt glue. I press quite hard and put a lot on.
@@roxycreations679 Thanx for your very quick reply. Love your channel, Rachel.
Where did you get your sizics (sp?)
In Love Arts
@@roxycreations679 I dont know what that is
@@mauricepowers3804 It's an online store
what is the die cutter machine called?
It's from In love arts
I would of put the tape on the paper then lay the Film on top of the tape.
