I didn't know teachers had to pass all these exams. My daughter is a teacher, remember she graduated college and I stayed on her to take those exams. I think our state gives them 2 years. But i told her she doesn't want something like that on her back. She failed 1 the first time, that Praxis 2 was unbelievably hard. I stayed on her, and she passed the 2nd time. Our state is so short teachers they won't fire them but they will only get substitute pay

Can a school offer a math teacher position to a person who has her creditials in English not Math and CANT Pass the required Math test. She has taken the test several times and failed. Keep in mind there is a person also wanting that math teacher job who already has all the requirements and has passed all exams. However the job was offered to the person who has not passed the test.

Good morning Jill! Yes…our texes STR exam is very similar. We are planning to work on a 5205 course. It’s all the same content, just organized in a different way.
Lost my job and the district charged me 10 percent of my salary. Has anyone every heard of this or gotten a penalty like this from their school district of some sort?
I have failed the professional educator test 3 times by a question or two. It is the last thing I need for my certificate. I don’t know what else to do to pass. I probably have one more try at it before it is too late.
