Watched him play with Shaq against Magic at the old Amway center back in 2001. I was 13, and I waited until it was a quite part in the game and I screamed "I love you Kobe , you're the greatest!". It was like half the arena heard me. Kobe definitely heard me because I was only about 100 feet away from him and even though I was looking from behind him I could tell he kinda smiled from hearing it, and from a kid. He put his finger up in the air.

It's a very common and normal reaction, so when someone doesn't even react a single millimetre it looks kinda cool cause they're so confident there's no chance of it hitting their face

This is still one of the coldest, most impressive things I've ever seen on a basketball court. It's quick, blink-and-you-miss-it stuff, but man, one small thing says so much about the guy's laser focus.
I was like 11 when this game was played. I remember coming home from church and watching it on a Sunday. Barnes and Kobe were going at each other all game, and I still remember Jeff Van Gundy praising the effort of Referee, Tony Brothers for not ejecting both Barnes and Bryant. This game has so much nostalgia attached to it.

These two teams were suppose to meet in the finals that year but Orlando felt short in the ECF to the Celtics. What a year that was for basketball.
