When I was a teenager this is how I knew how rich one of my friends family was the Snap-on truck pulled into his driveway.
3:37 Jay searching for a piece of broken wire on the floor like a Man who has previously found a piece of broken wire in a expensive tire..
And, these new Snap-On tools can be yours for the mere cost of your firstborn.
my kids arnt worth that much thier resale value sucks
I’m more than ok with that.
You get what you pay for
Jay, "where did that piece of wire go" he's like "if that ends up in my $60,000 hand made Bugatti tire I'll brain ya snap on guy"
Jay should do infomercials XD
Isn't that what this is?
I was hinting at how he made fun of real infomercials, how the people can't hold on to the objects (like with the old wire cutters). He portrayed it perfectly.
I'm pretty sure Jay has never paid for a tool, hoist or quart of Redline Oil since going online.
Larry Smith
As much as your probably right, I feel like Jay is the sorta guy that'll pay full retail for something that works well. Doesn't strike me as a guy that looks for handouts or freebies
This commercial was brought to you by Jay Leno's Garage.
the dude's said before that he does these spots to keep the show free. I'm down with it.
big meme king ye but did he say its was paid content? if not its illegal.
My instant thought too !
bullshit, this channel has 1.8+ million subscribers, with what 10+ million views? youtube pays Leno for all the clicks.
SenorQuichotte you really think this wsnt paid content? fanboy or not, stop being so gullible.
saw "accessibility" and hoped it was some kind of affordable budget tool set
That's funny.
You said "affordable". You are not the customer Snap On wants.
Nope. Affordable just gets you Snap-Off.
Yeah Michael, I just bought some Snap-Off tools at the Dollar Tool Store after seeing a video promo posted by their owner, Mr. Bustya Nukols. Even I can access them since they are totally affordable. I was able to get their 20 amp cordless ankle grinder with a pack of 10 flying disks, a 20 piece set of screwed drivers, and even the low-profile hydraulic jacked-up, all for the low price of $19.95.
the reality is if you arent using your tools everyday snapon, matco, cornwell, etc arent really nessecary. any tool will work it just doesnt do it the most efficiently. when you get paid flat rate and are performing a specific job that one tool might save you an hour which makes or breaks flat rate work.
one of those most worth it tools is a 3/8ths drive flex head ratchet but it is in a 1/4 drive body by snap on. it fits almost anywhere and save so much time.
Wire cutting safety overkill haha
Thank you so much Les!!!! Perry was so professional, what a guy, he knew his stuff, so detailed, Les knows his tools. Jay thank you for bringing this on your channel, I loved everything about this video.
Hey, Jay!
How about doing a Harbor Freight tools review? This is what we, little critters, use in our garage. I can't afford $100 ratchets.
Price for a socket set in 2020: $770.00
That wireless bore-scope -- very cool!!
That one costs $1,285 and has a resolution of 640x480. I bought one from Amazon for $36 and it does 1080p!
That toolbox behind them is worth more than my car.
Kyle Not really,it just costs More!
Exactly!!
Thanks Jay and Snap-On, I really enjoy these tool videos 🙂👍
Very cool. I have a job right now that could use that extra half-inch clearance for the socket wrench. I'm going to buy one of those.
As for being an infomercial, my guess is all Jay got was some free tools. I just found something I was looking for, so all I can say is, thanks!
I call my local "tool shack" "Harbor Freight".
+1. .. Snap-on Tools.... Very nice tools. .. Bring money.
Price for a socket set in 2020: $770.00
* when you got a broke tool and snap-on truck guy goes MIA for weeks *
thechosendude strangely enough I owe my rep 150$ and he hasn't shown in almost a month now...
I haven't seen my Snap-on guy in 3 weeks.
H85: Guido and Carlo will be by on Tuesday to collect!
+Frank Newberry - She's got you pegged.
thechosendude w c. ,..
people stop flipping out about jays "commercials" he is kind enough to give us free videos and shares all of his cars with us. don't like it don't watch it. some of these vidoes are actually useful too, some products i didn;t know existed.
Well, there was an example of a $35,000 12 piece tool set.
COOL Snap-On Accessibility Tools - Jay Leno's Garage
Have a few German made ratchets for 3/8" from Stahlwille, HaZet and GeDoRe they are 30 + years old and they have a lower profile than the new low profile Snap On .
Always enjoy Jays sense of humor.
I love your show Jay and Snap-on Tools. I worked at GM Proving Ground for 25 years and my toolbox is full of Snap-on tools
It slices!! It dices!!! Order now!!!!!
the average Guy can't afford snap on tools more car video's thanks Jay
Need to get all of those now to feed my Snap-On addiction - love it!
Thanks Jay and Les for showing the new line.....
Snap-on is the BEST tool a person can own! now i praised Snap-on, i expect a lot of free tools ;)
Fun video, you should be selling Snap On Tools Jay, would be a success !
I really like the sound of the horn at the end of each episode, hehehehe
snap on the best of tools
Highest price, yes you are right www.snapon.com/Snap-on-Files/Product-Safety/2020/FJ175RetainingRingClipAdvisoryJan2020.pdf
I'm all about that volvo box in the back. I hope we get an update on that amazon wagon soon...
0:53 "Sometimes half an inch can be absolutely critical to get the job done", haha.
Here's the jingle: "Jay-Jay's Cray-Cray Krazy Dollar Dayz Gooseneck'n Wireless Displays!"
Hey Johnny, this show doesn't pay enough
I have the low profile 3/8 ratchet and socket set and it has saved my bacon many times.
Nutz4Gunz45 I might have to try them
Nutz4Gunz45 I use the 1/4 drive set the most. dash ac work
you not own a spanner?
Jay goes "where did that wire go?" That's a man that keeps a clean shop
Jay's Snap-on dealer must think he's died and gone to heaven. I bet that Snap-On route is worth a million dollars.
Snap-on best tools on the market!! Thanks for the review.
While I am a fan of Snap-on tools since they are from my hometown Milwaukee, WI even though they moved their headquarters to Kenosha Wisconsin. But they are tools are great and work well but unfortunately I cannot afford them. The only tools I can afford come from Harbor Freight, but the real comment I wanted to make it's like have all these tools to help you remove a fastener that you have to be a contortionist to get at, but I don't see the tools that help you get the fastener back in unless you're Plastic Man it's difficult to get some of these small fasteners into these tight places, thank you Mr. Engineer, he just wants to make it work he doesn't care about who might have to fix it.
Great stuff Jay and crew. Thanks for the information.
Good show! Demonstrations of proper US engineering are enjoyable.
Jay,
I REALLY ENJOY your Channel!!
nice to see that they're updating some of their stuff
If only I could get a Snapon rep to stop at my house...or even offer me service when I track them down at a shop. I may not be a pro but I'd like to be able to buy some of the specialized tools like this.
love snap on
New toys, big bucks.
jays nails so clean, never used wire cutters ever, wahaha
Cool tools, thanks Jay.
Beautiful tools and Jay can afford them. I shoulda been a comedian!
wow awesome tools
They need to make those in America again.
My favorite part was the foreign made jacks and battery powered tools that are marginally better for an insanely higher markup
Good tools. But very very expensive in Brasil. :(
I need all of those tools, even that dinglehopper.
It would have been nice to include links to the various products demonstrated in the video's description.
or at list part numbers... weird of a commercial to not want to make it easy to buy stuff.
Are snap-on tools manufactured in the U.S.?
Jay is of course referring to, 'harbor frieght' - he can't say it but we can. however, I use them all the time and their tools work just fine. Plus you see their tools on other 'automotive shows' all the time. Again, Jay can't say which shows, but we can. Shows like Wheeler Dealers and a myriad of youtube stars use HF tools all the time!
That "scuffing" on the piston looks normal to me, it's just the valve relief. Surprised Jay did not know that.
My Heaven will have quite a lot of this sort of stuff in it.
Nice tools Jay!
The worst thing about Snap On tools...are the salesmen.
Yeah, this guy needs to stop talking so much
I'd say it's the price, but OK
@@frep420 You do realize how Snap-On trucks work...right? With Snap-On products, you "pay" for on-site warranty service and replacement, on-demand delivery, etc., if you are just "purchasing" their products off the web, you aren't getting what you "pay" for. The Snap-On truck guy shows to your place of work, regularly, and does a sales pitch on all his new garbage product, like plastic work lights that break when you drop them. And wants to sell you everything possible. Mac Tools guy typically saves you used trade-ins and sells them to you for dirt cheap...doesn't sales pitch garbage products while you are busy trying to finish a job, etc. Anyway...
I get how the salesmen are, if they charged a reasonable price, I could deal with all of their other issues
I stopped buying "Snap-Off" tools a long time ago. I was breaking them by hand, and that was sad. Cornwell, Matco, and Mac, did better, and were somewhat more affordable.
Last time I did try to buy a tool from Snap-Off, they wanted a credit application, needless to say, I bought my tool elsewhere.
Husky makes good tools, and they are not very expensive, nor do they break in my hands.
I like the bore scope, but I don't feel like mortgaging my house to get one.
James Fenton Now you can buy a scope with lights to plug into your phone around $30. 00. Yah it would be a good tool!
Yea, the last purchase I made from Snap-Off was a handheld scope, for $2200 bucks, and it didn't work so well and I returned it.
Several years later I got the same scope for about $80 bucks, it was through my battery dealer and was the very same item. It still needs a fresh battery, but will probably never see one.
A good two channel scope is invaluable. but Snap-Off will never see me on their trucks again.
Mastercraft tools have never let me down. Lifetime warranty as well.
Cornwell FTW. All made in the USA, cheaper, and better quality.
Jay you starting work on a Volvo project (hope so ) ? I see a big VOLVO labeled box in the background.
Jay you need to review a Ferrari 550 maranello my stepdad has one and its one of my favorite cars i would love to hear your opinion on it.
How much is the standard ratchet? $500?
90blacknight $109 for 1/4 3/8 and $ 159 for 1/2 inch if u buy separate
$109? I'm pretty sure their T72 1/4" standard handle ratchet is $90ish. Not that it's much better...
Sold a kidney, now I can afford a new Snap-on socket!
mega good tools
Yeah.. Snap on's are good, but not very affordable. Jay Leno is the absolute Godfather of car guys. The Capo.
I miss the generic tool truck carrying SK tools. GearWrench filled in quite well though.
Awesome ratchets if I was still working on cars for a living I'd probably have one or two
Snap on should make a ratchet with a telescopic handle instead of making a bunch of different lengths. I have one from a different brand and its the best thing since sliced bread. It also has pivoting head so it gets in almost anywhere.
I have and have used snap on for 30 years. I got it at a 'bargain price' or I wouldn't have it. Trying to get a snap on guy to do any sort of warranty work, like refurbish a ratchet, in Denver is near impossible until you get out into the small towns. They aim to please, out there.
3:20 -you are doing an infomercial Jay. Hope they "forget" and leave that tool chest behind for your time.
So a bunch of stuff you can get cheaper from HF, except for the nippers which look kind of cool. HF doesn't have any good diagonal cutters, they're all cheap crap. Their low-profile ratchet is also through-hole, which means it will handle stuff that you'd normally need a deep socket for. Thanks for trying though, Snap-On. I bet you can get two low profile aluminum jacks at HF for what one of these steel beasts costs
I thought Snap On was the top of the hill until I tried Stahlwille, that's tools that don't need a representative changing out broken tools all the time. :)
What's in the big Volvo box?
good stuff
Has a plastic box for the wire to drop into and insists on using safety classes to snip a wire lol sweet guy
Various message odds yield earnings north separate.
Snap-on tools are grossly over priced. Its like buying a Colt pistol, 300 hundred for the gun 500 hundred for the name.
gary8t88 they are the Apple iPhone of tools. Biggest waste of money ever
You get what you paid for
Does Jay use Snapons? he did that battery commercial but he uses Optimas in everything
I kind of laughed out loud with the the friends and neighbors being invited over to view your cylinder head videos and photos.
Wow this is so innovative... my grandfather welded a half an inch drive onto the bottom of his ratchet so he could attach EXTENSIONS to give more leverage... much better way than buying seperate ratchets for different lengths like lol wtf...
using the power of Jay Leno's garage to hock crap. I think Leno has joined the dark-side.
Some nice volvo parts box i see
Good
Wow, gain 6 inches on every stroke. I was in my twenties when I could do that. And that boroscope thingee. Great for up-skirts checking the stroke.
If price is no object, German tools like Stahlwille, Hazet, & Witte are the best. Except screwdrivers, which break no matter what brand, Snap On replaces the tips under warranty.
I like how the guy walks up to an amazing Brough Superior and acts like it's nothing more than an old motorcycle.
Gunna get me some snips
In an infomercial you'd be fumbling the side cutters in ugly black and white then you've have the Snap-on in color and so easy to use. :o)
I have alovely collection of low profile ratchets. I call them spanners or end wrenches.
Listen from 1:50 but close your eyes.
jay Leno when you will give McLaren 720 S and Bugatti Chiron review ?
what's with Jay's knuckles ? hope he's alright @4:07
The best thing about retirement - no more tool bills!
Only Jay can afford Snap=on tools. They are ridiculously expensive
Retirement tools. grate tools? yes. But I worked for a living, so thank GOD for craftsman. TZ
the bore scope only costs 1\3 of your right arm
