When the multibillion dollars industry of diamond under threat of public knowledge about the truth of diamonds... Its like knowing the moonlanding fake,, they have to retaliate with this kind of video...lol
Doesn't understand gem quality. A diamond that is used for a tool is not the same as a large carat diamond with no inclusions. Keep clinging onto a Netflix documentary for proof of a conspiracy.. probably not the best idea to go to the mainstream for your conspiracy
How would you equate rarity, if its not in production .i.e. the amount of material mined each year. The supply for these materials you mentioned is huge compared with diamonds (even including the non gem-quality ones).... for example - for 2019, mine production for silver was over 26,000 tonnes, gold was 3,200 tonnes, platinum comparable less at 168 tonnes... diamonds was 28.3 tonnes.

No dude... unless you have research resources I'm unaware of? (Please share if so!) Mines cost so much money. As the pipe gets narrower less diamonds are pulled out so it becomes financially uneconomical. If your comment is just a guess.... best not share as it fuels misinformation 🤗

Hi! Mining for gem-quality corundum would certainly be a smaller figure... with sapphires making the majority amount as they are more common. However a lot more non-gem quality of ruby (and sapphire) is mined now for the production of lead glass filled corundum of which tonnes is produced. It’s hard to put a number on corundum mining, as you’re quite right, it’s not as extensive as diamond mining. All qualities and sizes of diamonds have value as, even if it’s not gem quality, it is useful. Corundum is not the same, and so the mining operations are much smaller as they are targeting the gem quality pieces. As such there is not global record for how much is being mined, by whom, and where. I hope this is helpful! Sorry about the tardy reply - I just saw it this morning :)

I have a diamond . 1-15 ct .22 of a gram . I have no idea what it is worth x after what you have said if may be worth hanging on too ? Thanks for your info xx
Do you know the quality of it? I could get a rough price for you based on this. As you own it already - I would see it as owning something that you may not otherwise buy for yourself. And diamonds are to be enjoyed and are not necessarily an investment unless it’s a super long-term investment or if it’s a naturally coloured diamond :) No one completely knows what will happen to the prices in the future :) trends have steadily increased overall :)

diamonds are not rare
low production does not equal rarity
gold platinum silver have more rare supply on earth

Wow ,i was glued to my screen watching this.So very interesting and informative.Cant wait to watch next video.
Thank you, Donna! You absolute lovely xxx
Diamond mines will close to artificially keep the price of diamonds high, not because there are no diamonds left in the mine.

Are salt and pepper diamonds technically industrial diamonds rebranded? lol
Excellent analysis. This really clears up a lot of misinformation floating around the internet.
Thank you 🙏 it's almost too easy to see how many diamonds are in shops and assume they are common but they are such a rarity of nature x
Always gorgeous, pretty Julia !
Kiss Jacob and all his wondrous family for me !

How does sapphire & ruby production compare?
Diamond mining is also more expensive and intensive than sapphire, correct?
